Shields?
Technology?
Etc..?

At maximum capacity (after the upgrade), it holds 5,000 photon torpedoes, 3 runabout-class vessels, and of course the USS Defiant.
Multiple integrated phaser banks, although I'm not sure of exactly how many.
The shields are strong enough to withstand quite a lot of pounding. No exact stats, though.
Technology is Cardassian/Federation hybrid, although every upgrade sees more of the Cardassian tech replaced by Federation tech.

Just watch "The Way Of The Warrior" and you'll know all you need to.
Make sure its the two-hour version. When it was split into a two-parter, they cut out one of the best scenes in all of DS9, between Quark and Odo.

here is what startrek.com give me
Deep Space Nine
Previously called by its original creators "Terok Nor," this old Cardassian mining station orbiting the planet of Bajor was built in 2351 and abandoned 18 years later as the Cardassian occupation of Bajor came to a close and the Cardassian retreated from the system.
Soon after, at the request of the Bajoran provisional government, Starfleet assumed command of Deep Space Nine and gave it a Starfleet designation. When the Bajoran wormhole was discovered nearby, linking the Bajoran system to the Gamma Quadrant, what had once been a backwater station became a bustling hub of commercial, scientific, and strategic significance, reflecting Bajor's new-found independence and strength within the Alpha Quadrant.
The station was briefly overrun by a Dominion occupation force featuring Cardassian troops in 2373-74.

They had shields from the start, but in the pilot episode their weapons consisted of only six torpedoes.

Watch either "Way of the Warrior", or "A Call to Arms". Then you won't have to ask.
But yes. In WotW, DS9 managed to hold off and severely damage a Klingon armada. In ACtA, DS9 was ultimately captured by the Dominion, but it managed to destroy *50* Dominion ships first.

Right if DS9 has 3 Runabouts (which i think it does like u say), why does it have six Runabout Pads? Pad A, B, C, D, E, F?

if it takes on a small alien vessel such as the clocked romulan runabout sized scout ship(i think it was a talon class)
