I agree that it would be the last one. They would have to come out with a whole new theme for it. They have used up most anything that could happen to them.
They are making it hard to kill off Data because they make him so invincible.

Who knows, they could just make him a latex mask and keep him young forever.
Probably not, though, Spiner has said that he will not be doing many more Star Trek movies.

I would like to see the DS9 series again, I sorta came into the whole Trek personna during the Middle of that Series, Just before Voyager came out, and would like to see it all. Do you mean that TNN will show the entire series, in order of episodes?

Yes. It will premier on Oct. 1, TNG, w/ Encounter at Farpoint, and then each day that week, they will play episodes from each season, and then conclude the week w/ All Good Things. Then play the series.

The first week it will be just the select few. After that they are going to play the whole series. They bought the rights to the show, also DS9, and Voyager. They are calling themselves the new home of Star Trek. The most popular TV series of all time!

It seems to me that in TNG they didnt leave any room for imagination. Yes, it was cool to make some things so believable, but you really limits the possibilities.

I have seen on several episodes that they can replicate phasers, and things like that. Why didn't they just scan Data and replicate him? Or parts of him. And there was one, at least, TOS episode that had androids in it.

Replicators can manufacture phasers and food because in a ceratin level (compared to Data) they are very basic. Minor parts which fit together just so. Data on the other hand is not only all moving parts but many are microscopic and incredibly complex (as shown by the fact that only one human, Dr. Noonien Soong, could create him). The smae thing applies to starships, why not just replicate the entire thing? Size has a lot to do with it. They can replicate parts for Data, just not the whole.

Ok. After I posted that, I remembered that they could also not duplicate his brain.

Yeah, something about his brain destroying itself or something like that if were ever removed. No chance of putting it back together.

Well perhaps then maybe the next movie(if they make one)data will somehow create another android with the help of starfleet and this time the new android will work and function in place of data. Just a thought.

Yeah, he already tried to make himself a daughter, so maybe by now he will have all of the kinks worked out.

Thanks, But they really need to think what they are going to do w/ Data, especially if they are going to use the TNG cast again. Which I personally, hope that they do not.

It seems to me, that they tried to make Data a character like Spock, emotionless. The only problem was that they made him too much like Spock in ways. I couldn't enjoy his humor because it seemed old and used. For example, when he was using profanity on the bridge, all I could think of was Spock saying "Go to Hell" in ST VI.
