THey should change it because this theme song does not fit in with other Star Trek theme songs

Yes. The music is fine but the lyrics are non-Trek. Hopefully this will be as far as pop culture makes it into the series. When the crew starts drinking Coca Cola, that'll be the last of the series for me.

I most certainly think that they should change the theme song. The first time I heard it, I thought I had accidentally flipped to a soap operah. When I made sure I was actually on UPN, I thought they had made a mistake.

Change is important; if you do not change (adapt) you die! I like Star Trek and I do not want it to die, do you? They can change it as much as they want to keep the franchise alive otherwise it WILL be 6 ft (aprx. 2 meters) under and I do not want to say goodbyte to the best franchise alive. It adapted fot TNG and it must adapt for 2001 otherwise paramount will not hesitate to pull the plug and that is the truth and I think you all know it but can not or will not accept it!

What was wrong with the themes (without lyrics) from the previous series? I've never heard anyone complain about an opening theme until Enterprise started. We all know (from your previous posts) that you like the song, so just say so!!

Classical (orchestral) music has been around for centuries and most certainly is not dead, even now in the 21st century.

Pop music is a relatively recent phenomenon, and has yet to stand the test of time. I only hope that for Enterprise's sake, our grandchildren don't find it as hokey as I do now.

I agree with Quantum_Slipstream. The lyrics have nothing to do with the other series.

I don't think they should change the song, the other songs were boring and after listening to it on every episode it started to suck the big..... anywayz it is much better and you don't get as bored! They should keep it!

There is nothing wrong with the other songs, I actually LOVE them. And yes I do love the song I am not afraid to admit that! But STAR TREK is getting old, there are not enough new fans and other more seasoned fans are getting bored. So they need to adapt to bring in new fans or DIE (Cancelled with no hope). I personally know people that hated Star Trek and said it was stupid and boreing But those same people like the new show and are actually warming up to the others. And I personally do not see what the problem is. Paramount is about MONEY not just about STAR TREK and it will do what it can to get money, and it is doing a good job with ENTERPRISE with it's theme song, and I do not think they will change it just because a few diehard fans can not adapt.

I like the theme song.
Does the theme song really matter I always thought that DS9 and Voyagers theme songs were long and boring so I didn't watch them. It was either bathroom break or time to get a snack. After I started taping episodes I just fast fowarded through them or edited them out like commercials.

I really liked the theme song, it is really unique and I thought it was good, all the others were good too, but I must say I really do like this one.

Neither did I, at first. Give it a chance, after a few more eps you may love it!
