Yeah, that is happening alot.

I have a "friend" who is sending someone a crushed up antacid tablet in the mail. Real funny, huh?

I think it's ignorant. Real people are dying, and they treat it like a big joke.

Really ignorant joke. There are people getting this every day. In another post someone said we didnt need to worry about it. I wonder if they are changing thier mind now???

The biggest problem with Anthrax is that people have, as you said, begun sending various white powders as a joke. Its a federal crime to do that, now, since the FBI has to investigate every single case. They should be able to concentrate on the real threats, not have to worry about the hundreds of hoaxes that are appearing.

I know, we take the interstate to get to work, and they had a rest area, all full of police and state police, because of a "white powder" When I went home last night, it was still closed, and there was no word yet on what it was.

another thing people dont realize, if we have the cops, all stuck investigating pranks, they will not be available in an emergency. That in itself could cause thousands of deaths. So, Anthrax or not, you are still at risk. What if it were you who needed the cops?

Postal workers now have to wear masks and gloves. How sad is that? I understand it's necessary, but....

I have some "friends" who think this is a joke, grinding up antacid tablets, and putting them in envelopes. They scared one guy horribly. And the girl is sending a letter w/ the antacid in it to her b/f out of state. How stupid can you be? If they find that in there, and it is totally possible they may, she will be in serious trouble.

Things are just getting crazy. A town near us, has reccomended to not have children go Trick or Treating. Its awful that a whole town would suggest that for the safety of it's children. I can tell you one thing, if I had kids, they wouldnt be going! Maybe I'm overreacting, but I dont think any of the people who now have it, thought they would....

It is and has. I used to know how many cases and such, but there are just too many. The deaths are senseless. It is so bad, that the US Postal Service sent out cards to every mail address about how to tell if a letter is contaminated. Now that is sad!

Last I heard there had only been 2 confirmed Anthrax deaths, the first one in Fl and somewhere else. Are there more now?

Well, she's dead. A 94 year old Connecticut woman. Inhalation anthrax in Connecticut......... Guess they, whoever it may prove to be, don't care whether or not you are a political figure, or in the media.
