Right now Bakula still isn't sure the show will be a success. If it is, and makes at least three seasons, I suspect they will start considering another one.

I would LOVE to write scripts for Star Trek! Wouldn't that be awesome!! I mean, to have an idea in your head and then down on paper, and then in real life. OHMIGOSH, i would DIE at a chance to do something like that.

You've still got a ways to go, and may change your mind, and Paramount doesn't accept just anyone.

Now I will stop being so negative, Good luck to you!

Lindely said he was being negative not you.

Grayrock,
I say go for it, go to paramount. I recommend trying to get an internship there. Beware, the entertament industry is very competetive, a dog eat dog world. I hope your good at making coffee and getting donuts. You're in for a real struggle but best wishes, friend.

Besides the more people that commit themselves to the liberal arts the easier it will be for me to move through a technical field.

True. The probability of some psycho ratings guy DECIDING that Star Trek is no longer popular like they did way back with TOS?

More worrisome.

I also want to write scripts for Star Trek.

I am going to practice by submitting a story
to the Strange New Worlds ST:fiction
competition in 2002!

to Link: That is what I started to do too....but then I read the
guidelines for manuscript submissions and got scared!

They will not even look at a manuscript unless it is
submitted through a literary agent. And you cannot
get a literary agent....unless you are published.

That is why I thought the "Strange New Worlds" contest
might help me to be recognized ... if I won. [LOL!!!] There
were over 3,000 entries last year.......
