At any moment the cast would look up and say..."What am I reading here!?"
Then they exit stage right.
I enjoy my trek I really do but even as a watcher a snort with most of the technobabble spew'ed around Voyagers engine room.
What must the actors have thought on this?

I think the actors don't really care for the "technobabble". They just read their scripts and make sure the words come out right. The "technobabble" gives a bit of realism, making it look like the engineer in the show actually knows what he is holding in his hand or what is broken in the ship.
it actually makes quite a bit of swnse for an actor on a Science Fiction show to talk about these things, especially if they are as cool as "warp engines" and "photon torpedoes"
