Hey guys

Im JakeT. Im a student from England, and I have been using Blender for two years as my main 3D software.

Its nice to be here, I found this community using Google.

My aims:
Well I do have an aim in particular, actaully me and a friend.
We are discussing creating a Star Trek: Voyager animated fan film. Set in the Delta Quadrant, after Endgame. I myself was dissapointed with Voyager's finale, it ended to quickly when there was so much left to explore.

I know what your thinking.
1. Thats impossible
2. Thats a big thing to do

Well, let me answer your questions.
1.It is possible. Because we plan to explore how Admiral Janeway (The one from Endgame) coped the next 17 odd years trying to get her crew home. Before she messed up the timeline. How Voyager should have really got home. You know what I mean?

At the moment we are discussing the story, and things to explore.

2. It is. But with some help we could make this happen.

So, yeah. I hope to be posting here quick often and to get to know you guys. Nice being here and thanks for having me.

Wow, that sounds like an incredible thing to do, I, for one, would be extremely interested in your results as I found Endgame... lacking, for a better word.

We're kind of slow here atm, but there are a core group of users who are hardcore Trekkies(ers) who still remain.

BTW, welcome to STV,

Hi there.

Thanks for the warm welcome, its nice to see fellow trekkies!
Im glad you like the idea, but at the moment its just lurking around in our heads.

I was messing around with Blender 3D this morning, and I got a picture in my head. And this was my result:

The mesh is not done by me. The background was found on google, the lighting was done by me though. Still not 100%, but I can see this project happening.

Thanks.

I am very willing to do this project. An animated voyager fan film.
But, I can't do it all by myself.
I need:
-Special Effects People
-Animators and Modellers
-And Voice Actors (I have a few of those)

If anyone is interested, just say so on these boards. This is a very serious matter.

I may already have a name for it:
Voyager: Shattered Cosmos.

Just an idea
