Yeah, I vaguely rember Morn and O'Brian (?) being in Caretaker. But it's been a while since I've actually seen the episode.

Oh, my apologies.

Then I see what you meant, but I guess there wasn't time to show Janeway meeting with Sisko for some...reason...

Yeah,... They were trying to show a "Passing" though thing, but they should have had Sisko met with Janeway.

"I understand your going after some Maquis"

"yes, I can handel it, my ship can do anything!"

"Yes, I'm sure, but the Defiant--"

"I dont care, it's Voyager!"

"I'm trying to tell you, even with the Defiant, We--"

"Uh huh, look, I'm going after a ship with unknown weapons, in a science ship, in the Badlands, bye!"

"Uh....yeah..."

See? typical VOY screw up. Sisko should have been talked to

Definately Morn was there, but I'm pretty certain that O'Brien wasn't.

Uh, I doubt Janeway would be that immature to respond in that way to Sisko. Remember these people are experienced Starfleet officers. Much like the way our military is. They must conduct themselves in a professional manner. You know, I like characters who aren't perfect. I thought Janeway was a good captain, but wasn't without her flaws either. I think that makes characters more interesting. Same with Sisko and Picard. They were good captains but also made their mistakes.

But I agree, it would have been cool to have a cameo with the captains instead of Quark talking with Harry. But at least we got that.

Well, that was really meant as a joke. The point is, it's yet another missed oppertunity.

Yeah I figured. I knew it was exaggerated sounding. But yeah...there were so many missed opportunities in Star Trek that I've lost count. lol

It would be interesting if they met. I don't think Sisko would be immature and kick Janeway's butt lol. I think they probably agree to disagree and shake hands. I guess I am just saying this cause I like both Captains equally. I know I am a odd one here.

It would have been nice. Did I understand correctly? Did someone say they met in the ST movie Nemesis? Anyway, the Quark-scene was good, and I understand its motivation too, Quark was one of the most popular characters in the DS series.

PostThu Jul 23, 2009 11:44 pm    Encounter at... DS9?

For what purpose? Sisko and Janeway could've met but how successful that encounter was would depend on why they met. As a chance encounter it would be as bland as two bank managers meeting on a bridge.
