Although Interview with The Vampire was cool.
I was supposed to see the Transforms movie at midnight myself, but I was getting bored waiting so I decided to just go to sleep. All the critics said it was bad, anywho.

I suppose every society needs its form of escapism and Twilight is that for america....(female americans between the ages of 10-14). In a few years, I hope it will all be a bad dream. Somehow I don't see that happening.
Anyways, I am probably going to see Transformers anyways. i was waiting in line with a friend for the midnight showing. I haven't seen that many people show up for a midnight showing since Star Wars. i ended up bailing because it just didn't seem worth it to stay up late for that movie. Was Transformers 2 supposed to be good or did I just miss all the hype?

I agree. I do not understand the big deal about twilight. I actually tried to sit down and watch the MTV awards... But I knew it would be pointless because that stupid movie would be the only one nominated. (Afterall it is MTV).
Transformers 2 wasn't the best movie. However, I enjoyed the effects and the constant action. I would not have stayed in line for any amount of time nor would I have gone to a midnight showing for it. ....Now, Harry Potter is a different story!!!!

Ice Age 3 will be fun, albeit perhaps a bit pointless. It is one of the 3d animated films that can always get me to the theater. I am really excited about the Harry Potter movie. It has been forever and the release was delayed by the Twilight film coming out. I am in the mood to see a fantasy movie with a decent story.

I totally agree! I can not wait for HP!! You don't understand how upset I was when the movie got delayed. Especially for a tweeny-bopper, glitter encrusted weak vampire! 
Ice age is going to be fun. But nothing comes close to HP!

Might be time for me to let this topic die. I figure I find more to talk about the longer I am on here. I have done it already but I should ask, there is no problem with me commenting on other threads in this section for members that have been around longer? I kind of feel as if I am intruding on a conversation, but I want to get to know people on here.

As for your question Polaris...what you do now (I've noticed, it's cool) is completely acceptable and well within STV standards...as far as interuppting or intruding or whatever on a conversation, that is completely up to the other user and if he or she has any problems with it, they will likely PM (private message) you about, as we frown upon open conflictions here, we prefer you settle things on your own...but anywho, listen to me ramble...to answer your question simply...that is acceptable

Actually, I heard they delayed it because they didn't want the fans to have to wait another 2 years for the next HP. This way, if they delay it now, they can put a new HP out each year... well for the next 2. I STILL HATE TWILIGHT though

You're probably going to laugh, but I actually really like True Blood. The T.V. series on HBO. Yes, it is corny, but I love it! That's about as into it I get. However, I thought the first Blade movie was great!

My dad had me watching that series the other day. The jury is still out as to whether or not I like it.
Crap...been a few days since I posted. Forth of July just seems to drain away the time rather like a vampire (bad comparison....tis amusing at this time at night). Got together with my dad and his frat brothers. I should learn never to ask about stories when it involved the parents. *headdesk* All I learned was that my dad somehow got thrown out of a window in the Bahamas by his friend...I feel like my college experience has somehow not been right if I don't have this same outrageous stories to tell. I am neglecting my responsibilities...
I do hope there are some more decent movies coming out this summer.

i'm pretty sure at the time of your father's window chuck wasn't funny or cool at the time. It was probably one of those things that are messed up, but will be funny later on in life. I don't think you should neglect anything ... maybe just be a bit more adventerous!

It's not just America...female Swedes between the ages of 10-14 suffer from this same condition. It's a Western thing, I guess.

I know. I just returned from Comic Con and people were camping two days to get into the Twilight Panel there. Hence, I stayed far away from the con Thursday. I have to say I had a good time. The reason being because I got my picture taken with Richard Hatch, who plays Tom Zarek on the new Battle Star Galactica and Apollo on the hold. This made me absurdly happy for some reason.
