Picard and Kirk were both good in their own ways. I guess I would have say I liked Picard better because I grew up watching TNG. Also, Janeway doesn't own anyone. lol, jk. She was ok.

2. Picard
3. Sisko
4. Janeway

I'm not going to throw Archer in there as I have never really watched that particular series.

It's not that I hated him, but in the grand scheme of things, his show was on for such a short time it feels, and it sort of got dwarfed by the predecessors, TNG, DS9, and VOY. I liked the show a lot when it was on, but to me I think if the show had gone on longer I would think that he has a larger part in the scheme of things.

Well ENT wasn't as good as VOY or TNG, but Archer was a nice character (so was Trip).

Kirk was the original i don't think you can beat kirk in the mmovis i would say
kirk,sisko-both of these guys din't realy take any crap
picard-picard got upset when he accidentley killeda space creature forgod sakes seriously.........(TNG:galaxy child)
janeway-again like picard she takes crap she has an advanced ship and doesn't use it realy to her advantage always trys to find a peacful way out
it is so unrealistic that why i like Deepspace nine it show that some times violence does solve problems (if you are vs a race that hate you and wants to wipe you out)

While most people are aware, I'm sure of my views, I'll declare them right now.

1) KIRK
2) The 'new' kirk kid
3) JANEWAY
4) Picard
5) Sisko
6) the idiot with his dog running around through space.

PostThu Jul 23, 2009 8:04 pm    Choose your captain

This is not a cop-out but Kirk and Picard are like apples and oranges; the can be contrasted but not compared. They are way too different in personality. I identify way more with Picard than Kirk but I still wouldn't wave a stick at Kirk's swashbuckling approach. Sisko seems a continuation of Picard and Janeway seems a retuen to Kirk.

Picard rulzzz!! I didn't like a lot oc characters on the show, the pompous "Nr. 2!!! (as Q so eloquently put it ), Troi who always seemed to be high, the child character Wesley whom the "wise market-researchers" always put in so the kids would have someone to identify with, and of course it fails miserably, since the kids always want to be the hero and despise other child-characters. But despite all this TNG was AWESOME, and they owe it all to that special entity that some just call "The Picard"!!!

wow.. this is from a while ago...

yes. but TOS started the whole fanbase of the entire Star Trek empire, so it just seems that it ran for longer.
