I wasn't quite sure where this should go, it's about a woman on a tv show, but it's actually quite a bit more, so... yeah.

Check it out.

I read an article saying much the same thing, but disagree with part of it. Yes, she's more of a celebrity given the way she looks, but her voice is incredible. Just goes to show how bigoted we all are. Good thing life itself isn't a beauty contest or many of us wouldn't be deemed worthy to live.

They have been so mean to her. I wish they would just leave the poor woman alone .

They were calling her the Hairy Angel, Simple Susie, things like that. There's no reason for that. She has a great heart, and they're just attacking her physical appearance. She spends weekends visiting shut-ins, volunteers for many things, and is generally a good person.
When she was delivered, she was without oxygen for an extended period of time causing her to have the disabilities she has. Fortunately she's got a contract with Syco Records, (Simon Cowell's label). The same label as Il Divo,

The woman who was our student teacher earlier this year loved Il Divo.

Well now...that answers Dan's question of "what happened?"
but now I have a question..."what happened? did she win or lose? and if she lost, who won?"

She came in second to a dance group. That may be the best thing, though, as she won't have to do all of the touring and stuff, but still gets the $$$ and gets to sing.

She has a really beautiful voice!! I hate what the media has done to her.
I saw a side game on facebook called "Slap the Boyle" and it had an image of her sobbing.
I was furious that the media who built her up would do that.

Yeah...she apparently had some sort of mental breakdown after losing. The exhaustion of the competition and the media spotlight got to her. Can't say I would not be the same.

I saw that "game". It was disgusting. My brother in law found it humorous, which just goes to show, I guess.
I heard/read that Cowell said she definitely had a contract, so maybe now she'll also have handlers to help her deal with all of this.

Maybe, but I had also read somewhere (forget where) that she was supposedly invited to be on America's Got Talent too...so would she be like a contestant or a celebrity performer? Prolly performer right?
