Also, while I thought both Kirk, and Scotty were slightly done wrong, they were fairly good renditions. The portrayal of Sarek, and Amanda, were both very off in my opinion.
However, it involved Time-travel, and anyone who's read my fan-fics, or been part of any of my RPGs know I love that! Plus I loved the whole Kirk in Iowa scene lol.

I didn't really get the point of that part. That car was a classic, and what point did it serve?!

I don't know if you noticed, but Kirk hanging off of things like the cliff was a recurring things with the movie. I think that's the only possible point it served--to underscore the recurring shot. That's all I got out of it, anyway.

the point was to show a classic car. That it was ruined was irrelevant, they got it in the movie.

Exactly, I didn't get the point of it either. When I walked out of the cin�ma, I suddenly was wondering, yeah , what about that sc�ne. Was it to illustrate that Kirk was in the beginning a verry irresponsible person. But from the makers of Lost you don't expect such thing. Everything in the story serves a purpose.

Well I think it was there to show that Kirk has always been a rebel, and to show something about his family: that he didn't like his stepfather, (that's why he stole and smashed his car when mom wasn't home) and that he wasn't afraid to do something about it. Not even when he was a child. He had spunk

So, I finally watched it  (I know, waaaaay to late  ), but OMG!
What a GREAT movie! Indeed 10/10 I sat on the edge of my seat the entire time (I was at home), I just couldn't relax back! It was one action scene into the other!
Can't wait for the sequels,
