|
I'm sorry. I couldn't resist.
Anyways, after Edmonton, Toronto, and Ottawa couldn't even be bothered to make the playoffs, and Calgary, and Montreal both had their' posteriors handed to them on a silver platter, Vancouver is Canada's last hope for bringing the Stanley Cup home.
Just thought I'd rub it in for the Calgary Shames, and Montreal Canadiens*cough*DAN*cough* fans out there who have been let down by their' teams
Anyways: Discuss, lol

They already kicked the Montreal Hacks... er... Habs... arses. Don't see why they shouldn't be going pretty far in the playoffs.

Didn't the Canucks just blow a 2 goal lead and get their asses handed to them 6-3 by the Blackhawks?
I wanna see just how nuts Ovechkin would go if he won a cup. The guy is just awesome. And since I'm not like some other vindictive observers, I wouldn't mind seeing Vancouver go far, but they won't get past Detroit, IMO.

I should point out that that was the first game they lost in 11 games, several of which were shut-outs. Even the great ones are permitted to have bad days.

Dear god... Somewhere in a dark room in New York, Gary Bettman just went through an entire box of Kleenex...
In the Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Washington Capitals series Ovechkin and Crosby are both being marketed out the ass. So what happens in game 2? Both of them get a hat-trick (3 goals in 1 game for non-hockey talk people) in the same game.

Funny. The Canucks just handed the CrapHawk's asses to them, winning 3-1. That puts them up 2-1 in the series. Like i said, everyone is allowed to have a bad day

lmao, watching Stargate SG-1. They busted out hockey talk.
O'Neill: "So, Teal'c, who're taking for the cup?"
Teal'c: *blank stare*
O'Neill: "Lord Stanley's Cup? Hockey? With the ice, the sticks, the skating. I took you to a game last year?"
Teal'c: "Ah yes... I believe the Canucks of Vancouver to be the superior warriors."
O'Neill: "Canucks, eh? ... So how about lunch?"
And on another note... The referees absolutely roooooobbed the Red Wings of forcing OT the other night. Such a bad call not allowing that goal.

It kinda makes sense. You know. It's filmed right here in Burnaby. And the guy who plays Teal'c is an amazing Canucks fan. O'Neill is more funny in person, out of character.

I'm so sure you meant to say Bruins. Or at least Red Sox, (are the White Sox still playing? )
Bruins aren't doing so well, tsk.

How in the hell are they down 2-1 in the series to Carolina? By the looks of it, the only reason the game even went to overtime last night was because Tim Thomas saved your asses most of the game.
I can honestly say this is one of the few instances where I actually want Carolina to win some games. After Boston and Toronto, I hate Carolina and Florida the most.

We're on our way to another Boston trifecta night! (Celtics, Bruins and Red Sox all winning). Though the Sox are down 2-1 in the seventh. I'm amazed the Bruins and Celtics both made comebacks,

The Bruins are out, I'm happy,
So, in the East:
Carolina Hurricanes v. Pittsburgh Penguins
In the West
Detroit Red Wings v. Chicago Blackhawks
Looking to me likes it's going to be a rematch of last year's Stanley Cup final between PIT and DET with DET winning the Holy Grail again.
