I really don't understand why people are saying it looks "to" futuristic. Enterprise waas clearly primitive compared to TOS, and FYI, TOS was made in the 60's, with Ent made in 2001-2005, there ARE going to be visual differnces, they would have done alot more to TOS if they ahd the money to

Yeah, they would have made it less "60's"ish too.

Yes it was worth it. I learned a lot about vulcans and their technology so it was a pretty good experience. Oh yeah and I saw some pretty hot scenes with T'pol!!!

Yes. Yes, it was. I got to learn more about one of my favorite races. No, not the Vulcans...the Andorians!

My faveorit series really. I have NO idea why it's so special to me, maybe it's the cast? Maybe it was a look in treks past, but ENT was special, and is still special to me. Well worth watching if you are not going to pick apart every last detail.

- I can understand what you mean. It's happened to me several times.

- Nitpicker fans...I'm one of those. LOL. Hey it can still be special even if you pick it apart.

I've only seen what...two episodes of this show. I watched the pilot - and I guess I was kind of bored with it. It didn't grab me like Voyager did. But then again I wasn't hooked to Voyager right away...I remember I keep coming back. I guess I didn't seem to capture me. So I can't really judge this series worth.

As for Bakula, thought Quantum Leap was pretty cheesy. But I think he does the best in Comedy. Seen all of his guest spots on Designing Women.

The Enterprise series was a prequal (most people hate)
It was Star Trek (Star Trek ohw yeh)

The only thing wrong with Enterprise was that it's all been done before {practicaly}

PostFri Sep 08, 2006 5:25 am    Worth it but not worth 7 seven seasons

Really good third and fourth seasons, but in the end the writers need a long break. Retro sci fi never really works although I did like T'pol for obvious reasons and the doctor is one of my favourite characters of all.

Star trek has to appeal beyond us fans, so it was no surprise to me that it was pulled.

Now is the time to start the long road to getting a new series made, though I think we are going to have to bang on about it for 5 years!!!

Why heck ya, it was worth watching, enterprise has some of my favorite characters in all of star trek playing in it and despite its failure to spark interest in alot of fans because of bad episodes and deranging the timeline, i have to say what trip said "thats okay", because anyone can overlook the flaws an enjoy the series in there own way.

It was good, not the best star trek but it was good. I would have like to see the ship as more primitive (like with lasers and nukes) but as a stand alone show it was fine.

I never really followed Enterprise at all but i think it was still worth watching.. For me i think that because I was used to the technology and stuff TNG, DS9 and Voyager that when they made Enterprise as the "first" Starfleet show it was kinda hard to imagine life before the advances that were made as of TNG age (if that makes any sense to anyone else)

Was it worth watching? Uhm, wait I am still thinking.

Okay let us see. I think the series itself was okay and I think unlike the other series it was actually the stand alone episodes that made it good Carbon Creek and the one where the doctor and an ensign begin a relationship are good solid story episodes.

The term worth watching implies to me could Star Trek of existed without this series and the answer to that question is yes.

It was not worth watching from that viewpoint but other than that I tpoo was iunhappy about it's early ending.

I wasn't in love with the show like I was about other trek and didn't follow it 100% like with the other series, but there are most deffinitly worst shows on television...

It was certainly worth watching, but it is debatable to many if it was worth liking.

Agreed.

There were a few answers about the Trek Continuum that could have only been answered by watching ENT.

Case in point; Andorians.

in what way was it an equal?

star trek is only relevant for one reason: getting us to think about morality/ethics, or politics, or science, or philosophy in general, in a way that challenges our existing thinking, or challenges the sociopolitical norms of our era. this is why people watch trek--i mean, the reason they like it fundamentally. everything else, including hte storyline, the actors, and the sci-fi aspect of it, is secondary to that.

TOS and TNG were excellent at making us think about these subjects. or about some particular aspect of human nature. DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise--not so much.

in fact, why doesn't someone tell me some ways in which they think Enterprise addressed something fundamental to human nature or the human experience? when you fail to find episodes or instances, it shouldn't be hard to understand why the series failed

I liked enterprise, the aggressiveness and attitude of Archer snapping at everyone all the time, got on my nerves on occasion. But the series was still awesome in my opinion and was worth watching.

It's a really good series no dout about that, but they have to advance Trek for each different genertion so it's not your normal Trek.
