I LOVE this show! Ive got the first 8 seasons on dvd. I grew up watching this and i dont think ill ever grow out of it. It looks great and has good storylines too it (unlike most of the crappy kids shows these days) and doesnt dumb itself down just because its aimed at children. My favorite characters are Edward and Stepney.
At work (i work in a book store) we have a whole thomas section and everyday i spend ages stocking it up and re-organising it (whilst actually looking through it all but ive got to look busy) and i always find excuses to talk about it with my collegues and customers. I'm so sad! lol

Anyone else like this? Some of u must have kids, and have watched it with them...

When I was younger I used to love this show. But I haven't watched it in probably 15 years. So I don't really remember.

Hah, of course I remember. Back when it was really popular among kids, people used to call me Thomas the Tank Engine all the time, I think we still have a few episodes on video at home somewhere, but I haven't seen it in years either. Is it true that in newer versions, they don't call The Fat Controller... The Fat Controller?

Thats true! Origionally there was the Fat Controller and the Thin Controller (of the little engines railway) but they changed The Fat Controller to Sir Topam Hat and the Thin Controller to Mr Percible

My middle name is Thomas and that was because apparently when my mum was pregnant she used to watch it alot and i always responded to it and then when i was born i took to it as soon as i first saw it apparently. Every one at school called me thomas the tank too lol

Just a bit of info for peeps on here: In 2008 Thomas started its 12th season and its in whats called the "Transition Period" which means the program is half models and half cgi. The faces on the trains are now cgi and we see them speak etc. Also the people are cgi too. I've seen some of the episodes and its amazing the difference it makes! Season 13 of thomas (2009) will be ALL cgi.
Also peirce brosnan (007) was the narrator for the latest thomas film and was supposed to be narrating season 12 onwards but i havent seen any of the episodes with him so i dont know if he actually did it or not...
