Various sources have informed TrekMovie.com that Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton will be closing in early September. An official announcement is expected early this week. The future of The Experience had been in doubt due to declining attendance. No agreements were reached between CBS, Paramount, the Hilton, and Cedar Fair (the company which owns The Experience) to keep The Experience in operation, and Cedar Fair is required to completely vacate the Hilton by 31 December 2008, when their contract expires

Cedar Fair and CBS Consumer Products has confirmed that Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton will shut down on 1 September 2008. However, CBS has stated they are currently exploring several possibilities to keep The Experience running, possibly at another location.

Doesn't sound like they have very much faith in the new movie.

I was soo sad/angry when I heard the Hilton was getting rid of the Exp. but my one consolation to that was that I was able to make it to Vegas in 06 for the convention, and to go on both the Exp, and borg 4d rides, which were freakin awesome, and being dressed up like a lt. cmdr during my time there the "actors" on the rides, and in the quarks bar treated me as a ST character, called me Sir if i was a supior officer, klingons gave me a hard time for wearing "pajamas" romulans called me soft, ferengi tried to barter for my shoes.....it was a great place to visit
