Does anyone know is there are any plans to lift the ban on Same-Sex Marriage in Nevada any time soon?
I'm going to Las Vegas in July 2009 for my 21st birthday and i would love to get married on the bridge of the enterprise at the star trek experience.
I know they do same-sex marriages at the star trek experience and many other places in vegas do too but its not a real marriage and there is nothing legal to it al all. And to be honest i dont really want to have a wedding then not be married at the end of it...

They currently have a ban on it in their state constitution... no word if they're going to fix that any time soon. I don't see--and haven't heard--about it returning to the ballot.
I don't know if this helps you at all, but my husband and I got our marriage certificate from a judge and then had the ceremony elsewhere (I was 17, and Tennessee is better about helping minors get married than the place we wanted the ceremony--Texas). You could get a marriage certificate over in California and then hop the border and have the ceremony. You would have to get a marriage license from a court in most states to get married, anyway. Just a suggestion, I know it's not perfect.
