I just watched this movie last night. It was awesome, and if you're a stargate fan you'll love it too. My dad actually hates stargate and he loved this movie. It has a great plot and features a lot of the characters from sg-1's past. It also has some great action scenes (like a real nuclear sub coming up through the ice and some great dogfights). Its also directed by Martin Wood who is considered to be the best director on the stargate team (directed 60 episodes of Atlantis and 53 of SG-1). I give it an 8 out of 10 (I would give ark of truth a 6). Check it out.

I actually liked The Ark of Truth better. This one seemed kind of blah, although I liked the beginning. And I feel like they just duplicated that episode where... the same thing happened, except I think it was just Daniel was transferred to the other universe? But in any case, the goauld invaded there, too and the earth was destroyed, blah blah blah. I know this was a timeline issue, but practically the same thing.

I did like that episode, but this felt totally different to me. It wasn't another dimension, it was an altered timeline as you said. All I know is that I liked it. I thought it was a better story than the ark of truth. I'm definently looking forward to a third movie.

I liked it, liked both of the movies, actually. In the special features Wood says this was meant to feel like the entire series, they used parts from every season, 1-10. Veeeeeeery happy to see RDA!!

Definently. Loved RDA, I hope we get to see more of him in the third movie.
