So, am I the only one finding the site lags...a lot? I can't use the site much, and every time i try to log in, the site lags so bad, I give up trying to post, as it lever leaves the log in screen. It will be like that until I turn of the internet or clear the chache etc... In other words, until a new session starts, STV will not work.

I will look into it. We may have to move the site over to a different server, which would require a few hours downtime (for DNS propagation). I will speak to Morphy about that.

That's been my problem lately, too. But only with my mac, as far as I can tell, no matter what browser I use. It's kind of weird.

i don't know if you guys have dedicated or shared hosting, but i find dreamhost to have a very good shared hosting plan. i'm not trying to plug them because i work there or anything (though if you do go with them please give me the referral =p), i've just had good results from them and have been using them for quite a while.

of course, i don't know what kind of volume you guys are getting on this site.

The server its on is normally reliable. STV currently uses jndhost.net for their hosting, and jndhost.net has fairly cheap plans, + there is almost somebody able to help fix any possible emergencies. and I believe stvs account is setup in a special way that Dreamhost may not like.. and such....

I've been on the site for almost an hour now, simply because it took about 10 minutes for the page to load on quite a few occasions. It's not usually that bad, but it is pretty ridiculous,

The site is pretty fast for me, though being on dial-up, what do I know, Everything only takes a few seconds, though.

I've discovered the main cause. When the server is doing its daily backup, STV slows to a crawl. I'm going to reconfigure how the backups are done to see if that will help. We're also going to have a second hard drive installed in the server so that backups are no longer made remotely, which should also help in the short term. This is just until we work out a longer term solution.

Hopefully that will do the trick. I spent 25 minutes making my first two posts today. I was able to send 6 picture messages from my phone to my friends while I was waiting for this page to load.

Same here. Whenever I attempt to use my desktop, or another source (Nintendo Wii to be exact, lol), STV takes forever to login, and then never does no matter how long i wait, most of the time i give up before getting such a message though.

Sometimes I get this error message (if it helps?):
