Halo 3 and the Halo series is overrated. The Call of Duty series is a lot better.

Halo is good, I just hate how hardcore some of the people are that you play with online. I'm enjoying Medal of Honor Heroes 2 for the Wii much more.

I have all of the Halo games, and they are fun, but I don't play multiplayer. I hate cheaters and being called a "n00b" for not knowing where something is.

The halo series are awesome, and the multiplayer is great. But it's a shame Bungie did such a poor job on halo3, they could've made it alot better looking.

I tend to agree, however I believe that most of the issues come from if you look at the difference between Halo and Halo 2, then you look at the difference between Halo 2 and Halo 3...the difference between 2 and 3 is MUCH less tan that between Halo and Halo 2. In essence, people expected a bit more of a dramatic difference in Halo 3, which sadly enough, did not happen.

True, you'll only notice that there actually is a difference when you play the both in a short period of time. Also, compared to other older games (Gear of War, Rainbow6) and games released in the same period (CoD4) the graphics just don't keep up.

Gear of War was out for like a year and it looked the same if not better.

Eh, Gears of War was better and worse in its own respects. I belive it was made more to be a graphics blowout game than Halo was before it was even released. IMHO, I honestly believe they released Halo 3 so early due to the utter crazy demand from gamers, hence cutting back on what Halo 3 COULD have been. But that's just my 2 cents.

I never said Gears of War was a better game, just had better graphs.

And you're probably right, microsoft probably calculated that this release would be the most profitable

Sadly enough, I see no other reason for them to have pushed it out that fast. I'm willing to bet if they had spent an extra 3 months on it even, that it would have at least doubled its total brownie points with me in terms of what it brought to the table on release.
