I think, in terms of episodes, that it would have been really cool to see a "mirror universe" episode. What do you think?

Yeah, a Mirror Universe episode would have my vote. Although, i think Voyager was pretty balanced, something for everyone to enjoy.

It would've been cool maybe to see a mirror universe episode on Voyager, but I think they did the right thing by leaving it alone. They didn't do one on TNG but they used it a fair amount on DS9 with a whole story arc. I think if they had done a mirror episode, or episodes, on every series, then it would've detracted from the originality of the ones they did do on DS9, and then later on Enterprise (obviously both were following in the footsteps of TOS). Plus, we did get to see an evil Voyager crew in "Living Witness," so we didn't entirely miss out, really,
I can't really think of any specific storylines I really wanted to see right now, but what I would've liked is more story arcs, or at least more of a sense of continuity and fluidity in the later seasons. Don't get me wrong; I loved a lot of the stand-alone episodes, and if there hadn't been a lot of good ones, the series wouldn't have survived. But it was annoying that there would be literally no set-up for episodes like "Extreme Risk" where B'Elanna had supposedly been deliberately harming herself for months or whatever, and there were never really any consequences from things like that either. The only real story arc in the later seasons was that of the Borg children, and that was kind of on/off sometimes. I think the strong storywriting which makes a great series is one where the episodes do directly follow on from each other and the characters have to deal with the consequences of what happened in every single previous episode, and that's what Voyager really lacked.

I think they could have focused on how the crew is reacting to what ever is happening in the episode and there emotions rather than technobable and constantly going on about what it means to be human blah blah blah
Also early on they should have show alot more conlict and teething troubles with integrating the marquis crew.

Oh yeah, a Mirror universe episode is definitly number 1.
but according to the Mirror Universe timeline The Terran empire was enslaved by the alliance(the klingons and cardassians) around the time of Voyager. They could have made a great Mirror Universe Episode out of it. Could be the ISS Voyager got trapped in the Delta Quadrant as well, and Janeway(a Terran and thus a slave on the ship) killed the Cardassian or Klingon captain and took control of the ship. That would have been cool. Would be logical that the ISS Voyager would actually have the weapon capabilities to take on the Borg. Maybe the Borg are a peaceful species in the mirror universe.

i think a romantic relationship between tom and harry would have been nice. i am a loyal fan of all star treks and to my knowledge there has never been a gay relationship on any of them. throw in the marriage between tom and belan'a and you have a very nice episode. i am a loyal tom paris fan and i love harry and toms relationship as friends and would have loved to see that go physical.

I would have liked to have seen them running low on supplies and struggling to find some. Also, when they take battle damage in an episode, to have that damage still there for at least a few episodes before they can repair it. Just stuff like that that would have made it more realistic.

Yes I found it a nice touch when they got those borg implants or wha on the ship and they were there for a few episodes before they dismantled them.

I think they showed damage carried over in some episodes, specially in 2 parters like "year of hell", as for your aurgument I do understand what you are getting at but what also should be pointed out is that with 20 some episodes a season. now there is a decent amount of time that would pass between episodes, fairly safe to say enough time to make their repairs. so I would say it does not really take away from the realism of the show (as far as a sci fi show can be considered). I would also like to point out that several episodes showed them running low on supplies "the void" being one. I will agree though that maybe they could have put a little more emphasis on the supplies.
Now what I personally would have loved to see more of would have been more about after they returned home ( I am not a huge fan of using using my imagination on what happens) I read "the homecoming" and "the farther shore" and I enjoyed them but wouldn't of been they way I would of have gone with it personally. I really would have loved for them to show maybe another episode or two. Also another episode or 2 revolving around Q would of been enjoyable to.

Are these things you say novels? Are they about Voyager's homecoming? If so, where can i get them? or any novels about Voyager?
And to stick to the thread too, I would have liked to see more of species 8472, they were dynamic and action-packed.

yea they are novels, got mine at hastings, should be able to find them at any book stores like waldens or borders. amazon, e-bay would be pretty easy to. sorry to take this a bit off topic.
Another thing I would have liked to seen was maybe have them pick up a few more crew members from other races, not having them as major roles or anything but some minor side story line stuff with them.

yep...I really thought 8472 would have a much greater impact on the storyline, since it began so pompously... And they were good too.
