Yes, like.....I'm sure he didn't tell Libby about his escapades....

Anyway...
C/7 bothers me. It just does.

Seven and Chakoty were a good match, I just think it was a after throught and thrown in at the last minute, which was really poor. It was like the last or second last of the show before they even showed any romantic interest in one another, if they wanted them to get together, they should have been introducing it alot eailier.

There were many different hints throughout the series that Chakotay would take the romantic lead, and after the B'Elana + Paris marriage, the C/7 match was the most reasonable.

When Voyager started he was only 41 and he was 48 when the series ended .
So, there you have it.

Sorry, all you Chakotay haters.

Ok, how old are all these people? Season 7, when C/7 happened, aired in 2000. The following dates are listed on imdb.

Chakotay - born 1953 - 47 in S7
Seven - born 1968 - 32 in S7
Janeway - born 1955 - 45 in S7
Tuvok - born 1956 - 44 in S7

So that would have been a 15 year age difference in C/7, though I think Chakotay really held up well. I would have believed he was 37. Same with Tuvok.

I was really hoping they'd play up the tension between the captain and the 1st officer, turn it into a Moonlighting sort of situation.

I think that was a bad idea because, as everyone knows Chakotay and the captain were in love. I would have really liked to see Seven and the doctor, and Chakotay and Janeway.

In the 24th century, the average human lifespan is said to be 100-120 years.

McCoy lived to 140.

So a match between a 53 year-old man and a 30 year-old woman isn't at all bad.

So an 18 year difference...seems okay since Chakotay can expect 52-72 more years of life. Plenty of time for them.

I think that C/7 was too sudden. There was no build up to it. The only possible hint at it was in Human Error with Seven's holodeck program. But after that episode when they were on that planet together they barely spoke to each other. And then they're in a passionate relationship? With Tom and B'Elanna we saw them grow a friendship and then begin dating and then move on to them getting married and having a baby. Perhaps if they showed Chakotay and Seven at least having a meal together in the mess hall it would be more accepted by fans

Funny, that's the reason the US government used to try and wipe us out--that we weren't completely human.

Huh...I never really thought of it like that...I knew there were reasons that episode bothered me (aside from it being really, really boring? Bores me to tears. Literally).

Like others said, it showed up between the series finale, and the episode before it. It was poorly done, and something we could have done without, due to the last minute introduction. The writer of the episode has admitted he waited to long to write it, and had to rush it out rather then plot it out better.

Don't forget that in an episode of TNG it was told that ALL humanoid life came from the Fouders. So it's not just Indians that are part alien... ALL humanoid life in the galaxy came from aliens

Chakotay and Seven was just WRONG!

Chakotay and Janeway should have been a couple
Seven and the Doctor should have been a couple

I think that instead of Chakotay and Seven it was Janeway and Chakotay. The whole Chakotay, Seven thing creeps me out.
