Somehow I don't think I've seen that episode... I'll have to go watch it!

Uh it's kind of a tough question. I think Seven during seasons 6 and 7 would have probably been good captain material if she had been given the chance. She sure had grown a lot by the last 2 seasons and started to accept her humanity more and understand it in some ways. Sometimes I think she might be a bit too by the book but then again I think she would want to avoid the most danger as possible since she was always arguing with Janeway about how her wanting to explore the galaxy was dangerous. It would be interesting if she had to be in command for some reason for like a day or two, in a situation that wasn't like the episode One or Omega Directive.

I do think she'd eventually be first officer or captain material if she went to Starfleet after Voyager returned home. I think after years of being an individual and gaining more life experience and coming more into her own she would be good and also she had Janeway as her mentor (I know the Doctor was too but Janeway was really her real mentor in her guide back to humanity) and I think that she'd learn a lot from Janeway and everyone else to do well.

Funny enough, I honestly don't see Seven joining Starfleet. Not sure why.

I can't see her really joining Starfleet either but if she did, I think she'd be good at it.

I think that she would try to do her own thing. Maybe set up some sort of laboratory or astrometrics lab.

Seven , like I said before would have to join starfleet and work her way up like any other. Plus, people would mutiny against her even though she may make a good captain. But, I think she would have to go through the starfleet first.[/list]

Ok, so if I was a criminal for my whole life and then I became a good guy, I could just become the police chief because I knew the most about the streets? No, she would have to join starfleet and work her way up just like anyone else.

if you were FORCED to be a criminal and could not possibly stop it and yet you were captain material sure i would make you capatin of my ship if i had one lol. and think about all the data 7 assimilated all the knowledge and tacticle senerios she knows no captain knows more than her. why do borg conquer? not only because of superior tech but also because of their superior knowledge.

Then she should be a TACTICLE OFFICER but not a captain!

I am sure you agree that it takes much more then Tactical and Scientific Knowledge to command and captain souls. In fact, it is a completely different quality and attribute then Tactical knowledge.

A perfect example for that was TNG, the stories written for Captain Jon Luk Picard were great because he commanded the crew and he let them express and use their expertise to get all the info he needed and then his experience as a seasoned captain would be expressed with brilliant decisions we all came to love and miss.

Once again...It would not be fair to make her a captain. How would you feel if you graduated from the academy, worked your way up the ranks and were waiting for your own ship...then they just give some borg who knows a lot her own ship...that doesn't sound very fair to me. She needs to go to the academy, graduate, and work her way up the ranks.

Fair did you just say that would not be fair. HA, I laugh at you. Some times the fair thing is not the best thing to do. if doing what wasn't fair would save humanity and doing what was fair wouldnt save humanity what would you do. you try living in a world where you are afraid to walk on the streets alone or you die and then you come back to me and ask me whats fair.

To be honest, I don't think that Seven would have the patience to be captain. I think that she'd find it too difficult to give orders and just let her crew follow them, she'd want to be doing the job herself and it would probably be very frustrating for her if her crew members didn't work as quickly or as efficiently as she would have herself.

Personally I don't think seven would be a good captain. She is obessed with perfection. Too obsessed.

It would have been cool if Seven got to be captain once. She would probably screw it up, though it would add mystery into the show.

Seven would have rocked as captain!
"But captain, it's my holodeck time!"
"Holodecks are irrelevant. If you want to blow off steam do ten laps in the jeffrey tubes, your body will be stronger and you will become a much more efficient member of the crew!"
