I have been watching voyager again season by season. Tonight I watched think tank. The episode where janeway and the crew outsmarts that ship of super duper ueber thinkers who take advantage of people in a jam and wanted to snatch 7of9. It was an entertaining episode. you gotta love it when someone outsmarts a bunch of genius folks

I dunno about you, but outsmarting the 18th generation of George Costanza just doesn't seem all that difficult to me, :p.
I really liked this episode to be quite honest. Was interesting, and I liked the concept of the Think Tank. Quite frankly, I think they could have been quite interesting for reoccuring once more in the series.

Janeway met alot of those types. I'm surprised the Time tinkering guys from the year of hell didn't cause more problems.
Think tank was a KICKARSE episode ^^

That would have been fun
Think Tank was an awesome episode, the crew obsessing over those puzzles was a nice touch

I think they were killed at the end. At the end of the episode the aliens are all firing on them.

No they didn't, the episode ended with us not knowing the outcome of the fight.

It is safe to assume the think tank is gone.

they weren't killed because those other aliens wanted to collect a bounty on them.

It is safe to assume the think tank can take care of themselves and probably survived the battle.

but remember that seven disabled the only way they had to communicate with eachother. If they couldn't collaberate they can't solve problems as well plus they were pretty out-gunned

FYI, the year of hell was supposed to be an all season thing. But the suits canked that idea. Say thank you suits.

Yup, and it is the suits fault that a lot of people did not like VOY. VOY seemed to loose a lot of its premise in the second season, that is because the suits basically fired most of the writing staff, and the producers changed out soon after because the show was no longer going in the direction they wanted it to, because of pressure from the suits and bean counters. But all in all I think it turned out good (as it is probably my favorite series), although a lot of the older ST fans did not like it.

Must admonish the fact 'Think Tank' was not a loose episode. The ep. was fairly tight with the fine points of technical detail. The Hazari getting their part of the deal at the end-- what is the quality of a solid neutronium hull?

It was a great episode - although I'd love to see how it would have played out if, instead of setting up the Hazari paradox, the Think Tank had made an even more tempting offer; either a way home for Voyager, or tech that would cut a good twenty years off their trip, or similar. I don't see Janeway trying to push Seven to join them, but some of the other crew members might have been tempted to encourage her.
It'd be an interesting fan fic to read.
