Mon Oct 22, 2007 7:20 pm STV Resurgence? |
|
I've noticed the past couple days here at STV a bit of a resurgence to the old days (and by old days I don't mean old days), as activity appears to be picking up, particularly in WN, and people seem to slowly be returning.
Could this be the start of a new STV Resurgence?

I think things are just picking up as people are drifting back to the site after the servers crashed. Especially since there's buzz about the new movies, and in WN we've got the elections coming up next November and primaries in February.

^ January.
However, yeah... and things go in cycles around here. It's interesting to see really old members coming back from years ago. It's encouraging.

I'm still here everyone!
Like Debra said, people are busy. I don't know about the rest of you, but I just finished up with my mid-terms, plus I have a job, so, yeah. It is nice to see some more people online, though.

yea, there have been a few new people that have joined too. We should do our best to make them feel welcomed so they will stick around. When I first joined there were a few people that really made me love this site, that's why I've stayed. Unfortunately some of those people have left. But I've made new friends.

Honestly, no, I don't think so. Maybe I'm just a pessimist, you never know.

I have a job that keeps me away from STV a lot because police officers are busy, just ask Deb. she complains that I am gone all the time. I wish I had more time to chat with everyone here.

Got the Mobile Construction Vehicle, Defencive Tesla Coils, and supply truck ready to roll. Let's do this!!!
I figure we can use the MCV to drive over the neighbour's house, deploy there, and have the Tim Hortons built in our' secondary build cue. This way, we can deploy it instantly, then deploy the Tesla coils around it to stop the terrorists from bombing it.

Looks like we've got another phase of downtime. STV seems to be ebbing and flowing, that's the best description of it, I'd say.

I just randomly decided to make a visit... knowing me, it could be a short one or a long one... it just depends. But I must say, its kinda like visiting your home town after being away for a loooong time.

as a new member here. I have to say I'm really impressed with this site. and I obviously don't know about the ups and downs, but it looks like it's keeping strong. I help to moderate a Harry Potter forum, and i know I'd be proud if it kept up as well as this seems to be even though the series is now over. I always become addicted to new sites if I'm enjoying them... but i might slow down my posting soon.

I think because of the age of the users (we tend to have a lot of students and such) the "ups" and "downs" correspond pretty well with the workload of the school year. With Thanksgiving breaks, finals coming up, and the last two weeks of classes things are getting pretty tight for me and schoolwork is (shockingly ) my priority.
When school calms down a bit and people have more freetime the activity on the forum usually picks up a bit.
