Wow, TM...that's very good! I've seen that picture before...and it's a good one. Very nice representation there!

Thank you ^-^
I got a little lazy with the hair since my wrist started hurting, but I'm feeling smug about finishing it

Well even if you did get a little lazy with the hair, it still looks amazing. Just think of how much better it would have looked if your wrist didn't start to hurt....*stares into space* ooohhh, pretty!

Thanks
I may go back in and touch it up a bit, just to make it look a bit more done. But I'm gonna stick with calling it finished for now

You captured her 'aura' pretty good too. Not many people pull that off with drawings. Especially simple black and white ones.

Last time I tried I failed miserably...She's tricky because she's got such distinctive features - particularly very high and distinct cheek bones. It's easy to overdo/underdo her features.

All I did was edit this pic in a manner I liked...there are a wide varieties and ways I could edit this, but I kinda like this one best...What I did was increased the highlights in the pic, added a "glow" effect to kind of enhance the highlights, because I didn't want more highlight because then it would start to overpower it, and then did a "soft focus" on just her face...causing her hair to be a little blurry...Let me know what ya think.
The bottom picture is the new one...There is a difference, but not a whole lot...Hope you can tell. LOL...

Awesome job! I think that it might be a bit more polished if you kept her jaw line and chin more focused, but I love the effect on her hair

Ya, I would agree with you, but if I did that, I would have to increase the diameter of the soft focus circle, and take away from the blurriness of her hair...but let me fiddle around with it...Glad you like it!

You might be able to work on two layers then merge them. Or fiddle with the softness and blur of the layers.

Hehe...one problem. I don't have a real photo editor. What I'm using right now is Picasa from Google. It's simple, but you can do a few neat things with it, seeing as to how it is a simple program. I'm in the process of trying to get my hands on Photoshop, but I'm unsure of the cost at the moment. lol.

Try for Photoshop Elements. You could probably get an earlier version (3 or 4) for not too much.
Or try GIMP, it's nto quite as good, but the price is right
