Which Saavik do you prefer? The one portrayed by Kirstie Alley?

Or the one played by Robin Curtis?

Personally, I prefer Alley's Saavik, maybe also because that was the first lieutenant Saavik we met, and she was smart and provocative. Curtis's Saavik was sweeter and nearly on the emotional side, which is pretty illogical for a Vulcan. She played a pleasant Saavik, but, nonetheless, the Saavik (which means "kitten") in STII was the best one.

You forget! Saavik was half romulan so she was supposed to be partially emotional.
Anyways, I personally prefer Robin Curtis. <3

You're right: Saavik was half romulan and half vulcan, but in STII - at least, as far as its theatrical release goes - none mentioned that. It was taken for granted that Saavik was a Vulcan, and not a hybrid.
However, this is where it's stated openly:

I liked both. I think both of them were the ideal cast for the respective movie.

Robin Curtis.
I felt Kirstie's Saavik was more emotional, to be honest. The crying at Spock's funeral, etc...
