if gravity plating is used on voyager why dont the put it on the sides of the vertical jefries (I know I botched that word) tubes so that when moving from "up to down" the really just would be crawling more. it seems to me that it would be much easier if you did it that way than to have them climbing up and down
please tell me if you think im wrong or why they didnt do it

It's an interesting idea, but I think it may have been too complicated. If the plates are stong enough, would they affect the horizontal plates at all? If the plates are really strong, they probably affect a stong enough radius to make it really complicated.

thanx i guess your right but i still think with all the resorces of starfleet they could get it to work.
but i think this might have something to do with the fact that i just read Ender's Game, a good book and the whole gravity thing is stuck in my mind

Yeah, if you're creating false gravity in space you could do a whole bunch of cool things with directions and human perception.
But I guess Starfleet's goal was to make it as "realistic" as possible

if you are climbing a ladder there is more stability if hit by a weapon to the outer haul of the ship
