I like creating rpgs. I do. I think that's obvious.
I like rpging. I do. It's fun.
I'm curious how many people think I should refrain from... say... my more... ummm... "creative" side... or if I should try and make a "cannon" rpg... just curious.

I think it depends. If it's your own RPG, do whatever you want.

However, if you're joining an existing RPG, you really should stick to what the other members have worked hard to build, and most RPG's here are pretty much cannon.

I don't know. It saddens me that as an RPG mod, I have to make this suggestion, but I'd suggest against making an RPG.

Why? Mainly because the RPG area on this website is rather dead. I'd hate to see someone go through the effort of making an entire RPG and then have no one join. I recommend that before you make it, you make sure that you have people that will join. So that it becomes worth making it in the end.

ILH said it best when she said it's your RPG, so it really is up to you. As I said though, look for members first, then make the RPG.

....yeah. I am worried about that too... the rapid decline of the rpgers on this site... it's sad.

I'll have to go with Founder on this one. I too like to RP and I have many ideas that would make potentially good stories. I'd hate to make one and have it end up another locked thread.

Don't worry, squiggy, if you really do want to post, I'd say try and garner some support. There are still some RPers left on the website.

I've started an STV RPG based on the Cathexis RPG, however it's a mixture of cannon and non-cannon. More of a semi-Cannon starship trapped in a non-cannon universe. Those interested, PM me with your profiles.

I think that Adam is funny..HE started it...ahaahah. Actually, I started it. And then I got busy and Joey asked him to help us out. Then I came back, and the storyline is my brainchild, mostly. But we've been working together and we find it to be fresh and very exciting.

If you are interested, or would like more information..please check the fan fic section and read up on the Star Trek: Cathexis Exodus storyline...it takes place after the SIMM ends. Warped and the Aftermath stories take place wayyy after. Right now, we're en route to Betazed where a huuuuge attack on the capital has taken place. A race of beings unbeknownst to Starfleet is responsible...so..we've been sent to investigate...and then a war breaks out...lasts seven years...........anyway. It's awesome. It's also off-site......due to lack of activity here on STV.

Cathexis used to be Eye of the Needle, and before that it was Dreamweaver....and before THAT it was Andromeda.

This is probably the best story ever written for the RPG/SIMM.

The link is in my signature. Please check it out if you're interested, plenty of open positions. We HAVE started, but only just. Sign up today to get in on the action. ACTIVE RPers ONLY !

Actually, I was referring to the Cathexis-based RPG which collected a whopping ZERO people, and was recently locked.

And amusingly enough, I'm throwing another RPG storyline onto the deceased RPG list.

RIP
SSS Justice - USS Vengance
USS Solaris - B
USS Chronoshift ((x 3))
USS Windex
USS Cathexis ((x ???))
USS Thunderchild
Starbase 1((lol))
USS Hickory
Insurrection
USS Fairview

May you, and all your' crews forever be forgotten in pointlessness.
