Just saw this movie yesterday in the cinema. Good movie. Definitly.
Even though it almost 3 hours long they still had to squeez everything in it so you won't get bored watching it.
You also get 3 different stories thrown towards you at the same time so pay attention i would advice.
Still some good humor in it, a lot of it is the same as the old movies though(like the return of the thick and thin soldiers that always stand guard and go in a discussion with eachother like in the first movie)
also i noticed one or two kinda lame and cheesy moments, but it won't spoil the movie.
And i don't like Keira Knightley in general so i'm not going into detail about her role in this at all(her role was way to big in my opinion), i just look at Johnny Depp and even Orlando Bloom to find some good acting in this all.

I'll try to go see it on sunday. I have to work a lot this week because of memorial day. I'm looking forward to it. I liked the first two a lot.

I thought it was decent. I thought one of the plotlines (Just guess which one!) was totally pointless. From a story-writer's point of view, that should've been editted out, since it didn't add to the conclusion of the story. However, I recommend seeing the movie. The Captain Jack being insane thing was awesome.

I liked it better than the second one... it was alright, but not amazing.
STAY UNTIL AFTER THE CREDITS
my friend Nate is also an extra at the very beginning. we saw him in the line of pirates. that was cool.

well first of all... come on, guys. any avid film viewer knows to always stay til the end of the credits...
Quote: | It's 10 years later and Elizabeth has had a son. they walk to the edge of the cliff/shore and look out into the ocean. the sun sets and the green flash happens and the Will's boat is coming into harbor with him standing on the mast... a predictable ending, but a nice one... |

Heh, I read this topic before going to see it, but I didn't force my friends to wait all the way through the credits. One of them had to be up five hours later and we still had a half an hour drive home, sooo. That part certainly wasn't shown before we left. Anyway, I thought it was a good film. Better than the second in that it kept my attention all the way through. The only reason I was hoping it would end was because I was tired.

There were some horribly tacky moments. But otherwise I thought it as okay.

Me and my friends saw this movie on opening night (actual opening night, not midnight opening night) and all of us thought this was much better than the first two! Granted it did have some of those pointless plotlines yopu speak of, but it had a ton of others to keep your interest. I too just wanted it to be over because it was late and I had to work the next day, not five hours later, but still. As for the after the credits thing, DANG IT! They so better put that on the DVD and such because I missed it and btw...is there anything like that after the credits on the first two dvds? I have a tendancy to not watch that stuff because i just want to leave, when its in theaters, or because i got things to do, when on dvd.

I thought it was really good. I liked the first one the most, but the other two were still good in my book.
