-Unknown World, Jungle-

Thomas nodded.
Ill take point. Perry take our six. Thomas lowered his phaser rifle into the ready and walked forward. This was an alien world but it seemed civilized. At least at one time it appeared to. Savior remembered survival training in the jungles of Earth. There wasnt anything like this here.

Then again training was all simulated and controlled. Thomas felt a little uncomfortable going into an area without proper recon. Though one did not always have the luxury of ideal conditions. Starfleet had taught him that. Starfleet and several near death experiences. Thomas tightened his grip and pressed forward.

(I made this part up, RM. If you don't like the idea, I'll edit it out.)

-Alien Planet, Jungle-

Hiro kept a close eye on his tricorder, ready to make sure that nothing pops up. He felt nervous, very nervous. It had been a while since the crew of the Eagle Star had gone on an away mission to a seemingly abandoned alien world. He racked his brain to try and remember just when that last time happened to be. It suddenly struck him and he vividly recalled Londo VII. The planet had some similiarties to this one, except the foilage was much large, as were the insects. The Eagle Star had been diverted to the planet to check for possible resources, something the Federation needed after the Dominion war and the onset of the Nautolian war. Suffice it to say, things went bad and the crew was forced to fight their way out of the situation, resources not included. As far as Hiro knew, the planet still had a warning buoy to this day, warding off any possible future foolish visitors.

"Please don't let this be Londo VII all over again." Hiro whispered to no one in particular.

He slowly followed after Savior who was carefully leading the team towards the structure...

-Alien Planet, Jungle-

Tracy shivered when she heard Hiro mention Londo VII. She had nightmares of that encounter every so often. She cleared her throat softly and peered over Hiro's arm, looking at the tricorder as best as her small form would allow.

"Anything" she asked in a low whisper.

Her eyes darted around quickly and she gapsed when she...yes, she thought just now that she felt something.

--Unknown World, Jungle--
Captain James Reiman trekked through the jungle world of the unknown world. It reminded him of something, but he couldn't quite figure it out until Commander Hiro Hasegawa mentioned it.

"Please don't let this be Londo VII all over again," the commander whispered. What he had been familiar with between this situation and a previous one was now revealed, and he shuttered slightly at the recollection of that horrible mission, silently praying to the Lord that this wasn't another one of those instances.

After several minutes of walking the group arrived at the large temple beyond the smaller buildings. The temple had to have been at least 15 meters in height, if not more, and 25 meters in width - if not more. Glancing around the area he noticed a large, stone door. "Over there," he said, pointing to the entrance and treading towards it.

Upon further inspection he noticed that the door was one which would open up not like a standard Starfleet door, spreading apart, but rather like an ancient Earth garage door, the style of door for a number of foreign nations. It was one which would rise from the bottom to the top. Yet, he wondered, how could they enter the structure?

"Commanders," he said, looking at Hiro and Savior. "Any ideas on how to open this up?" he asked, curiously, glaring back at the door and contemplating any ideas he could himself develop.

U.S.S. Eagle Star, Bridge

Lieutenant Commander Sakura Ogawa was seated before her computer console at her station on the bridge of the Excelsior-class vessel, the U.S.S. Eagle Star, which had recently been lost in an unknown galaxy. Currently, Sakura was the ranking officer on the bridge, however, she had the oh so wonderful task of translating difficult alien tounges for Captain Reiman, as the rest of the senior staff were down on the planet below, looking for a way to get the Eagle Star and her crew back home. While she had no particular desire to go down to some mysterious and possibly dangerous planet in some unknown galaxy. Who knows what could be down there? After all, she wouldn't want to experience another Londo VII, Londo VII, a jungle planet, having been the location of a particularly nasty mission the Eagle Star had been apart of some time ago, this mission having been one that didn't end all too well. Then, again, things don't always go as planned. Sakura had, herself, been involved in a number of failed missions. Mollari II stood out in her mind. This was before she served on the Eagle Star. In fact, it was back during the Dominion War. Her old posting, on the U.S.S. Cortz had been tasked with destroying a major Dominion ketracel-white installation located on a little planet just outside Cardassian space known as Mollari II. The Dominion had installed a high-tech security net around the planet, making it impossible to carry out an orbital bombardment. Luckily, because of the supposed security their security net provided, the Dominion had few patrols in or around the area, making it quite easy to get in and out of the system. A small unit of Cortz officers, Sakura being one of them, had been sent down to the planet's surface, via a shuttle, to neutralize this security net, allowing the Cortz to carry out the orbital bombardment. They were to infiltrate the compound and plant a bomb on the security net's power generator. At first, things seemed to go smoothly for the team, however, as these sort of things always seem to do, things quickly went to hell in a hand basket soon after the bomb, itself, had been planted. Apparently, the Jem'Hadar had been tracking the team the entire time, cloaked, as usual. Seconds after the bomb had been planted, the Jem'Hadar revealed themselves to Sakura and the others before attacking. At least half of the eight man team had been taken out, right then and there. Whether it be by fate or something else, Sakura had been one of the lucky few who had survived the initial attack, but, not without a price. A price that was paid in blood. She still had the scar to prove it. In any case, she and the rest of the survivors were forced to flee into Mollari II's mountains, tracked by the Jem'Hadar all the while. The Cortz was unable to transport the remnants of the team back up due to the security net, so the survivors were forced to find some way back to the ship or die trying. Sakura and one other man were the only ones who managed to make it back to the shuttle, after surviving three days in the mountains. Unfortunately, the man had died not soon after making it back to the Cortz, making Sakura the only survivor. She could remember the look on the older human man's face just as he passed on. Sakura could remember crying, as she sat at his side, his old wrinkly hand in her own. She could still remember the warm tears sliding down her rosy cheeks like liquid metal. Meanwhile, the bomb that had been planted to destroy the security net's power generator had quickly been deactivating, making the entire mission all for naught. Those brave souls lost...they had all died for nothing. It had been a complete and utter failure. That mission still haunts her to this very day.

In any case, that was the past. "Don't dwell on the past," her father had always told her when she had been a young child. "Always look to the future. Who knows what it might have in store for you." Those words rang true. Because her experiences on Ajilon Prime and Mollari II hadn't necessarily been the best of experiences, things were never etched in stone. Just because this planet was a mysterious planet in some unknown galaxy doesn't make it a Mollari II. Hopefully, the away team on the planet was safe. She wouldn't want to see Commander Hasegawa or the others hurt. Due to the anger she was feeling at the moment, she wouldn't mind to hear that Captain Reiman had befallen an...unfortunate accident on the planet. The Asian woman had quickly pushed such an idea away at the slightest thought of it. That was no way to think, no matter her personal feelings. Captain Reiman was a good man...for the most part. He had made a mistake. After all, humans aren't perfect. No one is perfect. People make mistakes. It's as simple as that. Just, some mistakes are bigger than others and when a particularly big mistake comes along, people always need that one person to blame it all on, in order to vent all of their anger. In this case, that one person happened to be Captain Reiman.

Sakura simply sighed and returned to her rather dreary work. This was no time to let her mind wander. She had a job to do, a very serious job, in fact. The crew of the Eagle Star would need to know how to speak this language if Captain Reiman and the others were unable to find a way back to the Alpha Quadrant. Without knowing this language, there is no way to communicate with this galaxy's residents. While Sakura may be an accomplished linguist, knowing six Earth languages and two alien languages, being Trill and the difficult to learn Bajoran, this task of translating this Basic or Standard or whatever this language was called to be quite difficult. She had dabbled in the more common languages, being Klingonese, Vulcan, and whatnot, as well, though, she found Trill and Bajoran to be quite interesting. Anyways, she simply sucked it up and continued on her work, which, at the moment, was comprised of understanding vowel placement...

-Alient Planet, Building Exterior-

Hiro shook his head, not seeing any visible way to enter. He snapped his tricorder shut, irritated with the failure.

"I see no way in," Hiro told Reiman, "I'm not even sure if phasers would work..."

Savior had not responded to the captain, so he probably didn't see a way in either. Sometimes, the tougher way was the better way.

"Mr. Savior," Hiro said, "Blow the door."

He hoped the man had explosives somewhere of some use. If not, then beaming directly into the installation might be an option.

-Alien Planet, Building Exterior-

Thomas moved forward and made a visual inspection of the door. There wasnt a switch or knob.
Satchel. Savior called out. One of his security officers came forward and held out a bag. Thomas picked out two spacial charges. He sat one at the top of the door and another at the bottom.

He took a step back and motioned for everyone else to do the same. He opened his tricorder and pressed a button.
Fire in the hole. The charges exploded sending debris flying in all directions. Once the dust had settled Thomas raised his phaser rifle again and pressed forward. Hed still liked to have had proper recon but so far they hadnt seen anything. Just because they didnt see it though didnt mean it wasnt there.

-U.s.s. Eagle Star, Haley Tadans Quarters-

Haley took a break from engineering. They were going nowhere fast and she needed a break. She stopped at her replicator.
Raktajino. The replicator didnt respond. It must have been broken. Haley slumped into an arm chair. She looked over to her desk. Her family photo was gone. She found it lying on the floor. She picked it up. The glass had been shattered. She pulled the photo loose and looked at it.

It was taken on the bridge of a ship her youngest brother designed for a holonovel. He got several nominations for the Daystrom Award for holography. She didnt have a picture of her parents. They split up several years ago. Only the children of the family made an effort to stay in touch. So much for calling them next week. Haley thought silently.

--Unknown World, Temple Structure--
"Satchel," Savior called out, prompting one of his security officers to step forward. The security chief withdrew two spacial charges from a bag, which he placed on the door. Several seconds later, after all had stepped back, Savior pressed a button and shouted, "Fire in the hole," the charges exploding after that.

The door blasted open, clearing a way for the away team to enter the structure. Reiman let out three quick coughs as the smoke cleared. "Commander Savior," he said, eying the chief. "Lead the way." He then looked at Nirel. "Counselor, keep close to Commander Hasegawa." Readying his phaser, the Captain awaited Savior's entrance into the structure and what they would find upon entry.

-Unknown World, Temple Structure-

Aye Captain. Savior responded. He walked forward and stepped into the temple. It smelled of old air and musk. Common scents to a place that had been locked up for a long time. Thomas activated the light on the end of his phaser rifle. He looked around. The temple was well built. His blast hadnt damaged anything other than the door. Then again the yield was controlled. Thomas felt something brush his boot. He spun the rifle down and shined his light on it. He let out a deep breath. It was only some kind of snake creature. Thomas stopped and looked back to the group.

Keep your eyes open for other reptilian style creatures. They maybe poisonous. Avoid contact unless absolutely necessary. Thomas turned around and kept walking.
