This week is crazy. So, Monday we have the VT shootings. Yesterday was the anniversary of the Oklahoma City Bombing. Today is the anniversary of Columbine. And now this today. And all these things are happening the very same week as Hitler's birthday - today. It just astounds me how all this can happen in one week.

Update: One hostage killed; gunman killed; second hostage released.
A press conference was just held which related this information.

Good lord...what the hell is wrong with people these days? I saw a montage on CNN late last night/early this morning of attempted VT killings and now this? *sighs*....how disturbng....

According to some kids at my school, there were SWAT people or something on the roof of the school on Monday after the VT incident in case there was anyone who might want to be a copycat. I thought it was silly at first (and I don't know that it was indeed fact), but perhaps such things are wise precautions, given the increasing number of these shootings that have happened?

Maybe? It's really, really sad when SWAT officers have to take position on a school roof to try and add a preventitive measure to a shooting.
