PostTue Aug 01, 2006 1:30 pm    Rob Zombie's Halloween (AKA Halloween (2007))

((Details taken from Wikipedia, they are subject to change with out notice as actually production on the movie has not yet started))

This movie will not be a sequel to the current Halloween series which is felt by Rob Zombie to have "finished' Also, despite plans to completely remake the movie/series (A re-imagining if you will, similar to the newer Dawn of the Dead, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies), the Michael Myers mask will remain.

When asked about the other core characters of the series (Such as Laurie Strode, and Sam Loomis), Rob Zombie (abet not revealing much in details), has revealed that both characters are indeed, important to the series. (It seems that a lot of information is being with held, due it will Excite people so much, people involved with the project will ask for more money)

It seems Rob Zombie has received a blessing from John Carpenter himself, on this project. Moustapha Akkads son (Moustapha him self, having died in the 2005 Amman bombings), Malek will assist in producing the film.

Rob Zombie said some original elements of Michael Myers movements, and styles will appear, along with some fresh new ones as it makes no since to re use everything from all of the original film series. He has also revealed that the basic storyline will be similar, but will also have some things that are quite different.

I look foward to this. I haven't seen of his other works, but it could be promising. Maybe this time, a continuality will be set up and kept though all sequels.

I personally can't wait. Whenever a Core Horror movie comes out I always go to see it. (Just so everyone knows I consider Core Movies to be Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Alien and Predator. These is my opinion everyone is different.)

Yeah, it might actually be good. Especially if John Carpenter gave him his blessing. That is very interesting.

It's filming, the cast has been announced, pictures have been released. This movie looks better and better as time goes on. I, personally, cannot wait for it.

In my opinion, I want be going to see Halloween now cause I don't like Rob Zombie works. Horror movies isn't the same anymore anyway like they use to be.

I've seen a teaser trailer and some pictures, read interviews by some actors (Including Daniel Harris [SP?]). Looks to be an awesome movie, despite a 'remake' or 'reimagining'.
