I like the Las Vegas Review Journal's editorial response to this news, which was addressed at http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,258181,00.html. Furthermore, the joke was a harmless joke. I think it's reasonable to distaste it and stuff, but come on? Not allowing Fox to cosponsor a presidential debate because of this? That's just stupid.
But I'm sure the joke is only being used as cover for the real agenda here.
Quote: | The editorial goes on to argue that if the Republican party decided to pick and choose coverage based on political leanings as the Democrats are doing, they would have rejected PBS, CBS, NBC, ABC, National Public Radio and The Associated Press decades ago. |
Fantastic point.

I bet if a Dem said something like that about a Republican, you wouldn't be saying "its a harmless joke"

I might not, and have not, but the contexts and situations are different. The point, though, isn't the joke, but the liberal reaction to the joke. Republicans have gotten this sort of stuff for years now, yet we never did this to those other outlets. It's ridiculous.

Goodness, it looks like the joke wasn't even about Obama in the first place. It was about Bush!
Secondly, there's one agenda behind this: hatred and politics. They hate Fox News and are making this absolutely stupid decision, alienating a whole block of voters that could see their side, particularly the independents.
