Admittedly STV has slowed down considerably over the years, but there always seems to be a core group who stays no matter what. My question is why?
Myself, I don't know. 99.9% of the reason I do know is because of friends. But how about everyone else? What keeps you coming back?

Mainly for my little game. What I do is go to the member's list, change the number in the address bar to something random, close my eyes and pick an account randomly. Whatever account I pick, I ban! I'll get you all yet! 
It helps me get up in the morning.

No. I stay here for the RPing and the discussions and whatnot. I can't find any better forum-based RPGs anywhere else.

There are a few people that I really enjoy talking to. Also, it's a great way to talk about sci-fi related things in an intellegent way. Most of the people I hang out with aren't into the whole 'star trek thing'. Also, I really feel accepted here, it's a nice feeling.

STV still rocks lol. I come for what few little friends I have and mainly star trek. trek is still in the heart of the fans.. There are some good conversations here and interesting topics.

I've popped in and out over the years. Basically the reason why I never just go away is that the people here are great, and I remember the time where I was here constantly, and I remember all the good times, and I can't just leave that.

Because there are some people here I genuinely like. And I remember some good times, and being a stupid kid here. I think its funny to go back and lok at my old posts where I would eliminate random vowels and tried to use "1nt3rn3t typ3" and stuff. Basically, I stick around because in a way I grew up here.
