His family. Did he buy it himself?
 |

No, but the stock has been his for some time now. He could have dropped it, yet even through the controversy he's maintained it. Therefore, your point is moot.

				| Maybe he has reasons for not dropping it, like taxes, income, etc.

His reason is no doubt financial - would you want to give up so many benefits from such stock? - but you're missing the point here, and you seem to not get it no matter how many times we reiterate it.

I'll try it once more, specifically relating to this. Al Gore is blasting oil companies, yet he has a great deal of stock in an oil company, and not just any oil company, but one which has been "mired in controversy over oil drilling in ecologically sensitive areas." I mean, come on. You don't see the hypocrisy here?

From Wikipedia. Your point is moot. | Quote: | | However, Al Gore Jr. did not exercise control over the stock, which was eventually sold when the estate closed. [4][5] |

				| Never mind; I found it, and concede that I made a mistake. At least from what I read, but with Gore, there's always the possibility that there's more to the story than what meets the eye, and I suspect there is.

 Anyone seen this?

No I didn't, but thanks for pointing it out.

Good for Gore for publicizing his efforts
