The year is 2375. The devastating Dominion War has finally come to an end, with the signing of the Treaty of Bajor. Peace reigns through the Alpha Quadrant, as reconstruction begins.

The Federation reels after their losses in the Dominion War, both man and machine alike. A corrupt President sits at the head of the shady Federation government. Corrupt government officials control the President and the rest of the government, as if a puppet, while a shady organization, known simply as Section 31, operates from behind the scenes, cleaning up the mess of the Dominion War...

The Klingon Empire is in ruins, at the war's end. Civil unrest has run rampant. The now Chancellor Martok takes control of an empire in shambles. Entire Houses have fallen, while others, who were against the Dominion War, ready to take control of the powerless government. Civil war is on the horizon.

The Romulan Star Empire has retreated into the shadows, licking its wounds, all the while. The Tal Shiar controls the empire from the shadows, as reconstruction of the empire continues. Little else is known.

Bajor thrives, with the war at an end. With a booming economy and a thriving population, things are on the up and up in the land of the Prophets, all the while their Emissary watching from above, in the Celestial Temple.

Cardassia has fallen apart. The Federation, Klingons, Bajorans, and others have carved up the remnants of the ruined Cardassian Union. With Garak as their leader, reconstruction after the war and the horrendous Dominion genocide on Cardassia Prime and abroad goes on, with aid from the Federation and Bajorans.

The Dominion has retreated back into the Gamma Quadrant, with Odo as their leader. Contact with the Gamma Quadrant has been cut off and to anyone's knowledge, the Dominion, with help from Odo, were beginning to reform. However, nothing is always as it seems with the Dominion...

The silence after the storm, as it were. However, for some, things were just beginning. In the Battle of Betazed, the U.S.S. Detroit, an Galaxy-class vessel, was destroyed. The survivors were captured by the Dominion and shipped to Internment Camp 201, to live through the remainder of the war in painful solitude, under the watchful eyes of the Jem'Hadar. Now, with the Treaty of Bajor in effect, all Federation prisoners must be released, including the survivors of the Detroit. Now, these prisoners who had been confined to the internment camp for the entire war, are released back into the real world. It looked as if an end to all of their troubles was at hand. However, in reality, it was just the beginning...

This is the aftermath of the Dominion War, told through through the eyes of the survivors of the Detroit. Corruption, murder, espionage, and everything imaginable awaits them...in the Aftermath of the greatest war in Alpha Quadrant history...

CHARACTERS

U.S.S. Detroit Crew

Character Name: Lucia Cipriani
Rank: Captain
Species: Human
Homeworld: New York, United States of America -- Earth
Age: 42
Year of Birth: 2333
Sex: Female
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 113 lbs.
Marital Status: Divorced
Medals/Honors: Christopher Pike Medal of Valor
BIO: Lucia Cipriani was born in New York City to Italian-American parents. She was the eldest of four children, the only girl in the bunch. Lucia was a tomboy while growing up, having three brothers. She would play sports with her brothers in Central Park all of the time, her favorite sport being soccer. In fact, she played for the Academy soccer time, during her time at Starfleet Academy. Lucia was raised with a strong sense of family and had an extended family. Because of her rather large family, Lucia had relatives all across the galaxy, both the good and the bad. One of her uncles was a major crime-lord in the Orion Syndicate. However, the majority of her family were good people. Several of her relatives served in Starfleet. In fact, her grand-father had been a well-reknowned captain during the First Klingon-Federation War. This, along with her family's sense of duty and honor to the Federation, eventually spurred Lucia to join Starfleet, herself. Lucia longed to command a vessel of her own, as her grand-father had done, in his day, so, she studied command. She worked hard during her tenure at the Academy, in managing to balance a school and social life. Lucia was a star player on the Academy soccer team and an extremely bright student. She graduated from the Academy with high honors and was one of the lucky few who was able to skip the rank of Ensign, all together, being directly promoted to Lieutenant, Junior Grade. Her first assignment was aboard the U.S.S. Arizona, an Excelsior-class vessel assigned to patrol the Romulan Neutral Zone. As one can expect, her tenure on the Arizona was quite a dull one, giving her little opportunity to advance in the organization. However, her time to shine came with the Battle of Wolf 359. The Arizona was called in to fight off the Borg Cube in the battle. Lucia, only a simple helm officer, at the time, happened to be on duty, when the battle came. In the midst of the battle, she managed to keep the Arizona in one piece, through her expert flying skills. The Arizona was one of the few vessels to actually survive the battle. Due to the exceptional skills displayed by her in the battle, Lucia was promoted to Lieutenant and transferred to the U.S.S. Explorer, as Chief Helm Officer and Second Officer. A year later, she was promoted to First Officer, when the former First Officer retired. She continued to serve on the Explorer, for several years. She was briefly married to the Chief Tactical Officer of the Explorer, however, the marriage did not work out and the two were divorced, due to personal conflict. Lucia learned the hard way marriage was not for her. She was a career officer and had no time for raising a family. In 2373 with outbreak of the Dominion War, the crew Explorer was brought into combat duty and put into the Fifth Fleet. The Explorer was one of the vessels involved in the now historical Federation operation to retake Federation/Bajoran space station, Deep Space Nine from the Dominion, Operation Return. In the battle, the Captain of the Explorer was killed and Lucia took over. She led the Explorer through the battle and the Federation eventually prevailed. After the battle, Lucia was given the Christopher Pike Medal of Valor and command of the U.S.S. Detroit, a Galaxy-class vessel. The Detroit was assigned to defend Betazed, in the Battle of Betazed, which turned out to be a devastating loss for the Federation. In the end, while the Detroit and her crew fought valiantly, the Galaxy-class vessel was destroyed. Lucia and the rest of the senior staff had managed to escape the vessel before its destruction, however, were unfortunate enough to be captured by Dominion scout vessels, after the battle. The survivors, Lucia included, were taken to Internment Camp 201, a notorious Dominion prison camp. Lucia never returned...

Character Name: Tenav Shraas
Rank: Commander
Species: Andorian
Homeworld: Andoria
Age: 35
Year of Birth: 2340
Sex: Male
Height: 5'11" (without antennaes) 6'4" (with antennaes)
Weight: 174 lbs.
Marital Status: Single
Medals/Honors: Starfleet Medal of Honor
BIO: Born on Andoria to Starfleet parents, Tenav was raised to be a Starfleet officer, from the day the blue-skinned baby took his first breath. His parents had great dreams of their son, dreams of which included Starfleet. Tenav was a Starfleet brat, in every sense of the word. From the age of thirteen, Tenav trained, both mentally and physically, to enter Starfleet. The Andorian youth was on a strict training regimen from his parents. Tenav was put on a diet and was forced to exercise everyday. The Andorian boy would climb up the peaks of the Northern Wastelands, with his parents, for exercise. Tenav was also trained in the mind. Everyday, after his supper, Tenav would have two straight hours of classes, taught by his parents. In a sense, Tenav never had a childhood. The young Andorian was too busy training to join Starfleet. When the fateful day came, the day of which Tenav was to enter Starfleet Academy, Tenev passed the entrance exam, with flying colors. After all, with all of those years of training, who wouldn't? Tenav's parents told their son to enter the command field, as their wishes were for him to be a great captain or perhaps an admiral, one day. Tenev complied and entered the command field, once at the Academy. As one could expect, Tenav soared through his Academy courses, however, he made many enemies along the way. The Andorian was argumentative, prideful, zealous...everything under the sun. Tenev thought that he was better than everyone else. However, with parents such as the one Tenev had, who seemed to think that Tenev was better than everyone in the entire galaxy, who wouldn't be prideful? In any case, Tenev graduated from the Academy, with honors. The Andorian was given the opportunity to choose his assignment. Tenav decided to serve aboard the newly-commisioned Galaxy-class vessel the Enterprise-D, the flagship of the Federation and every cadet's dream vessel. Tenav, while being a bit arrogant, was an extremely devoted and loyal officer, with a strong sense of honor and duty, comparable to the Klingons. This earned Tenav respect from his superiors and disdain from his equals. It was no matter to the young Andorian. Tenav only looked up, to where would be someday. The people below him were just that...below him. However, the events leading to his death were set into motion when Tenav was assigned to the U.S.S. Detroit, after serving several years on the Enterprise. This was in the midst of the Dominion War. Tenav, after earning several promotions and earning countless awards, including the Starfleet Medal of Honor, Tenav was assigned as the First Officer of the Detroit, underneath Captain Lucia Cipriani. Tenav served on the Detroit for a few years, fighting in Operation Return. However, the Detroit was destroyed in the Battle of Betazed. Tenav and a few others managed to escape on escape pods, including the Captain, whom he carried to the escape pod himself, displaying his fierce sense of loyalty. However, unfortunately for the surivors, the Dominion captured the escape pods and shipped them to Internment Camp 201, a Dominion prison camp. However, a life-changing event occured while the Andorian was locked away in the internment camp. Tenav felt, for the first time in his life, as if he belonged to something...to a family. The survivors of the Detroit were just that. A family. And, just as a normal family would, every member of that family had to stick together and look out for the others. Tenav was the most vocal about being trapped in the camp, having scrapped with his Jem'Hadar captors on numerous occasions. Tenav would frequently disobey Jem'Hadar orders, in futile attempts to escape. In the end, Tenav's arrogant pride sent him to his death, as the Andorian was executed by the Jem'Hadar, never to reach his grand goals in Starfleet. However, despite his death, his memory would live on in the hearts and minds of every surviving member of the Detroit...

Jonathan, an archaelogist, had met Jasmine during one of his trips to Egypt, where she was employed as his assistant. Eventually, the two fell in love and were married, only to go on to have Gregory two years later. Gregory spent most of his life travelling with his parents, as the family traveled across the planet and abroad. After all, his parents were archaelogists and would go wherever there was anything to be found. Gregory was home-schooled by his mother. The young boy gained a British accent, from his father. Both of his parents, who were scientists and skeptics, were atheists, as was Gregory. By the age of twelve, Gregory had traveled all across Earth and the rest of the Sol System, visited Vulcan, Tellar, Andoria, and Bajor, among others. Gregory was a well-traveled young man. By the age of sixteen, while at a family reunion back on Earth, Gregory met his uncle on his father's side, James Lysander, a Rear-Admiral in Starfleet. His uncle became a role-model to the young man and Gregory longed to join Starfleet. Gregory, a well-traveled young man who had his fair share of adventure in his life, wished to put his experiences in the galaxy to good use, by joining Starfleet. Adventure, honor, duty, and all of those good things were his motivation for joining the organization. His father had some reservations about joining Starfleet, however, eventually, allowed Gregory to join. Gregory was accepted into Starfleet Academy and grew to be an exceptional student, with high marks in all of his classes. In the end, Gregory graduated from the Academy with honors, in the engineering field. Gregory served on various vessels, his first being the U.S.S. New York. During his time on the New York, Gregory met the woman who would eventually become his wife, Isabelle Vaugier, a young nurse, at the time. The two hit it off and were married, two years later. The two attempted at having children, however, it resulted in a miscarriage. In the end, the two decided against it, due to the challenge involved in raising children, in Starfleet. Eventually, at the age of thirty seven and with the rank of Lieutenant Commander, Gregory was assigned to the U.S.S. Detroit, a refit Galaxy-class vessel, as Chief Engineer. Isabelle, however, had been temporarily re-assigned to a Earth, separating the two, with the Dominion War and all. The two remained in constant contact, which was difficult with the war raging on and all. However, as time went on, as it always does in long-distance relationships, contact between the two waned. Gregory served on the Detroit through the beginning of the Dominion War, stationed by Betazed, until the Detroit was destroyed in the Battle of Betazed. Gregory was one of the few survivors of the Detroit who had been captured by the Dominion to spend the next year and a half of his life trapped in Internment Camp 201, a Dominion prison camp on a desolate asteroid in the middle of nowhere. Gregory and his fellow survivors were eventually released, at the end of the war, with the signing of the Treaty of Bajor. Currently, Gregory and his surviving comrades are en route to Earth, where each of them are to receive medals for their service in the Dominion War. However, Gregory only longs to see his wife, after spending a year and a half rotting away in a Dominion prison. Little does Gregory know of the suprises in store for him, both political and personal, back home...on Earth.

Character Name: Tanos Xuse (Formely Cino)
Rank: Lieutenant (Junior Grade)
Species: Trill (Joined)
Homeworld: Trill
Age: 35
Year of Birth: 2340
Sex: Male
Height: 5'10
Weight: 160
Marital Status: Single
Medals/Honors: None
BIO: Tanos Xuse, born Tanos Cino, was a Trill Starfleet officer and former Chief Medical Officer of the USS Detroit. He was born on the Trill home world and raised in a strict house hold. His parents tried to make him the most outstanding person he could become, but because they wanted him to be joined one day. That day would eventually come but not before he joined Stafleet, much to his parents chagrin. He was brilliant when it came to the sciences as most Trill are, but excelled in the medical field. Having the ability to heal others made him feel proud and powerful. He felt that being on Trill was far too constructing and joining the quadrant wide organization of the UFP, he knew he would be able to interact with so many more. Tanos abandoned his desire to be joined in pursuit of something he thought was much more grand. His parents, furious with his decision, disowned him. Tanos left to Earth and graduated from Starfleet Academy with perfect scores. He immediately began to serve aboard the USS Ramayana as a nurse. It was on the Ramayana when he heard that his parents were killed by the Borg while traveling aboard the USS Lalo. Tanos, furious and saddened that he never patched things up with his parents, set out to become joined in an effort to honor his parents. He transfered to a Starfleet office near Trill so that he could join the program that would allow him to attain a symbiont. Tanos managed the impossible and gained a field docent to decide if Tanos was worthy. After some time, the field docent decided that Tanos was an acceptable host for a symbiont and was given the Xuse symbiont. It took several years for all of this to occur and he went on to serve aboard a Federation starship assigned in the Trill system. It wasn't until 2370 that he had become chief medical officer and joined the USS Detroit. He had several strange adventures onboard and got to know the crew. There hadn't been any problems with the symbiont, but it definitly did change him. He became even more confident then he already was and a little more serious. The Dominion was erupted and the Detroit was not spared from the battles. Tanos saw his share of death and injuries, but managed to do his best to heal others. During the Battle of Betazed, his ship was destroyed and along with other crewmen, he was taken to a Dominion internment camp. Tanos was regularly beaten and was a favorite victim of the Jem'Hadar. They knew about the Symbiont and did everything they could in an attempt to hurt it. Frustrated with Tanos resisting their efforts, they nearly cut his stomach open to get to the symbiont. Thankfully, the Dominion war ended and the Jem'Hadar never got the chance to gut him. Disgraced and injured, Tanos returned back to a Federation

His parents were outraged and disowned their son for such an act. To this day, his parents won't speak to him. Koro has not spoken to his family or seen his village in over twenty years. However, Koro cared not. Koro wished to see beyond his village. To see the galaxy in all of its wonder. All of those countless planets, each with their own unique peoples...it was a tempting life. Character Name: Gavro
Rank: Lieutenant Commander
Species: Tellarite
Homeworld: Tellar
Age: 50
Year of Birth: 2323
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 210 lbs.
Marital Status: Widower
Medals/Honors: N/A
BIO: Gavro was born on Tellar, to a politician and his wife. In fact, his father was the Tellarite Ambassador, in the Federation Council, at the time. Gavro was well-taught by his father, who expected his son to grow up to be a politcian, himself, one day. Gavro was an excellent speaker and could argue and debate with the best of Tellar, however, the life of a politician looked...dull, to the Tellarite youth. Instead, Gavro decided to join Starfleet. His father had been unusually accepting of his son's decision, which was downright suprising, especially when his father was one of the most argumentative and opinionated men in the galaxy. Gavro made a point not to dwell on it. The Tellarite made his way to Earth, where he was accepted into the Academy. Gavro wished to experience adventure, to see the galaxy and to actually help people, unlike politicians. Gavro, who lived in a political household, knew he wanted no part with politics. In the end, Gavros choose the most exciting division of Starfleet, security and tactical. Gavro did well in the Academy and was assigned to the Excelsior-class vessel, the U.S.S. Napoleon, upon graduating. This would be the first of many vessels on which Gavro would serve aboard. The Tellarite would go on to fight in three wars, in his Starfleet career, the Cardassian Wars, the Second Federation-Klingon War, and...the Dominion War. During this time, Gavro took a wife, a fellow Tellar officer. The two had four children, together. It was the happiest time of Gavro's life. After all, with a beautiful wife, four wonderful children, and a prodcutive career in Starfleet, who wouldn't be happy? However, Gavro's life changed when his wife, who was a doctor in Starfleet, had been killed in the Battle of Ajilon Prime, in the Second Federation-Klingon War. Gavro fell apart. The Tellarite took a leave of absence from Starfleet, to go to attend his wife's funeral on Tellar and to be with his family. In the end, Gavro, who knew he had his duties, in Starfleet, to uphold, returned to Starfleet, leaving his children in the care of his now-retired parents, back on Tellar. While Gavro may have returned to Starfleet, he would never truly be the same, again, with the loss of his wife. The two of them had the greatest arguments and now, all of that...all of it was gone, because of those damned blood-thirsty Klingons. His wife's death instilled in Gavro a fierce hatred towards the Klingons. In fact, Gavro was thrown in the brig for assaulting a Klingon, once, during the Dominion War, when the Federation and Klingon Empire were in an alliance, of sorts, against the Dominion force. This was after Gavro had been assigned to the Detroit, as her Chief Security and Tactical Officer. Gavro would have been tried for his act, however, Gavro would never make his trial. The Detroit, which had been assigned to Betazed, was destroyed in a fierce battle with the Dominion. Gavro and a few others survived, but, were captured by the Dominion and thrown into a Dominion prison camp. Gavro did little to try to escape, as his fellow survivors had done. Gavro essentially felt his life was over, with his wife gone and his career on the line. In fact, Gavro contemplated suicide, on several occasions. Before the Tellarite could go through with those thoughts, the war ended and Gavro and the others were released. However, Gavro wasn't sure that he wanted to be free...to be forced to live in the "real" world, again. At least, back in the Dominion prison camp, Gavro didn't have to do anything...the Tellarite could simply sit there and waste away...

While Reina was growing up, she thought her mother was being mean to her, however, she learned her mother was simply doing what was in Reina's best interest. Because of her mother's discipline, Reina grew up to be a dutiful, good-mannered, and well-disciplined young woman. Reina, unlike her superficial older sisters, had no desire to grow up and marry off to some good man and have a bunch of children, as her mother had. While she loved her mother with all of her heart, Reina felt such a lifestyle was simply not for her. She longed for adventure and to see the galaxy and what better place to find all of those things than to protect and serve the Federation by joining Starfleet? Reina decided to apply to the Academy, much to the joy of her father and chagrin of her mother. However, Reina had failed her first application attempt. At first, Reina considered simply giving up on her Starfleet dreams, right then and there. With this new-found courage, Reina attempted to join the Academy, one more time. In the end, she was eventually accepted. Reina and her father were overjoyed by the news. Her mother, even, grew to accept the fact that her youngest daughter longed to do something more with her life than to raise a family. Reina entered the Academy in the field of engineering, as her father had. She also took the flight course. At first, she struggled with her classes, however, with some tutoring from her father, she managed to pull through. In fact, she managed to graduate from the Academy as salutatorian of her class. Unfortunately, she choose a horrible time to join Starfleet...in the midst of the Dominion War. With a little push from her father, Reina was assigned to the U.S.S. Detroit, as the Chief Operations Officer. The Detroit was involved in Operation Return, as was Reina, giving her first true experience of battle. She lost many friends on that fateful day, which has become etched into her memory. She wasn't expecting Starfleet to be anything like it was. However, she had only seen the tip of the iceberg, compared to what she was forced to experience only a few short months later. The Detroit was assigned to Betazed. The Dominion launched a suprise attack on the planet, annihilating any resistance...including the Detroit. Luckily, Reina was able to escape the vessel in an escape pod, only to be captured by the Dominion, along with the rest of the survivors. Reina and the others were sent to the infamous Dominion prison camp, Internment Camp 201. Reina was forced to live through hell for about an entire year. It was a miracle she had survived. Now, with the end of the Dominion War, all Federation prisoners were to be released, along with Reina and the other survivors of the Detroit.
