Who Should Janeway have been with?

Well, I dunno about that, I don't like the J/C thing at all.

I think Jaffen was definately the one for her. It was such a shame in my eyes too, because it was SO possible at the time for Jaffen to come with Voyager and be with Janeway...finally someone for her! But Oh well...

I think Jaffen was a good match for her also. He was human for one thing, and not a deceiver (unlike Kashik). But unfortunately we all know that if he had joined them on Voyager, Kathryn would have found some way to decide that she could no longer be with him too b/c she would need his help as part of a crew and she can't "fraternize" with a member of her crew.

I would say Chakotay. I mean... I can't really picture her with anyone else. There was always Mark, but you all know how that went. Janeway and Harry? No. She looks down upon Harry as her "son" as it were. Janeway and Tuvok? They'd probably end up killing eachother, but they do value the friendship they have. I still think Chakotay would have been the "logical" choice.

Janeway should have been with Chakotay, no doubt about it. I mean everyone can see that they are in love, but they had to match Chakotay and Seven of Nine up.

Harry Kim you know they say younger men make an older woman feel special. Janeway could have had herself a sex slave. Ensign do this do that. Yes mam. I am totally picturing janeway in black leather and whip in hand saying "Harry I won't see my husband for 70 years and I have needs you know. LOL

It's been 4 years since I was last here.

I still think C/7 makes me gag, J/C had good chemistry but I see them more as great friends than anything else, J/7 seems daft as mum/daughter relationship eew, but I get why people would like it. I wish I could get back into Voyager and writing, sigh

I remember reading that the story "Workforce" (the storyline with Jaffen if I remember correctly) was originally written to be between J/C rather than the end J/J. I know it's not canon, but I was wondering whether or not that might have changed opinions in terms of the J/C pairing (I'm only speaking hypothetically on this).

I always had trouble with the fact that they never seemed to give a solid semi-permanent pairing to Janeway. My name on here implies that I like the goddess Athena (virgin goddess of wisdom and war/tactics) but I was always a tad but put off by the fact that she wouldn't allow for things to go further. If I remember my long-term storylines it always seemed to me that they were playing the "Virgin Captain" (i.e. "I shall not fraternize with the staff") card way too often in my book.

Oh and for the record, I ship J/C but don't think they were ever solid on that. As for J/7, I always felt a little too incestuous. There was WAY too much of a mother/child or (as someone else put it "Pygmalion") going on for me to even consider it a possible pairing.

Who should Janeway be with? I'm a pretty darn committed fan fic writer, and most of my work involves some relationship with Janeway.

I'm not all for the J/7 pairing. I'm just not...gay, I suppose. >.<

J/C is what everyone wants, right? I think it would be cool and all, but...First Officer and Captain? Sounds almost too perfect for me.

At first, I thought a J/P pairing would be interesting- I still think it would. After the episode in which Paris and Janeway have little alien kids, I thought it would be interesting to pursue that relationship, and 'noodle it to death'.

I've thought of just about every possibility for Janeway- even picked it down to the EMH and Harry. All in all, I think what I most wanted to see is a Janeway/Tuvok pairing. It seems logical, don't ya think? I mean, they're such good friends, and we all know about the 'we were such good, long friends but I think I want something more' thing.

Always wanted to see that. It nearly happened on the planet where they were isolated for a while and I imagine would have. That sounds like a good story there - I am a writer - they could go on to have J/C kids - and create a whole civilisation - but I am sure there is already fanfic out there for that.

I could never have accepted Kayshyk. Yes he was gorgeous, but he was a fascist. I could have lived with J/Jaffen... but my heart belongs to J/C.
