I wanted to start a topic for people who have the Wii console to share how they obtained the elusive console, and also to say what the like and don't like about both the console itself and the games.
I had to wait in line for 10 hours outside of an 'EB games' store on black friday to get mine. When I finally got inside my hands were too cold to count the money so I had to have the cashier count it for me. But it was worth it. The Wii is soo cool and so is Zelda: Twilight Princess. I'm a huge Zelda fan and this is the best one yet.

I hate the Wii and I will never own one. It is by far the worst console out in my opinion.

Wow, are you kidding me dude. It's the best gaming experience that I've ever had. Also, its cheaper than any other console. You really should'nt knock somthing without trying it out. I work with five other people who own a Wii and the all agree.

I have tried it, and I absolutely HATE it. It is the cheapest new system for a reason.

wow, you're the first person I've heard that from. It's been rated higher than the PS3 and 360 by the top 5 best selling videogame magazines. But everyone is entitled to their opinion. May I ask what game you tried? If you haven't tried Zelda you should. It's amazing. It also has a map four times as large as GTA: San Andreas.

The Wii wasn't bad, but I wouldn't spend money on it. I was priveledged over Christmas to be around hardcore gamers, and I liked the 360 best. By faaaaaaar. However, the Wii was fun for kicks, played Rayman and hit bunnies. Hilarious game.

I don't know about the Wii. You see, I would like to try it, but personally I wouldn't buy it. It just seems kinda kiddy too me. If I was 10 years younger maybe I would want it .

I'm 20. I LOVE IT!!! If you love video games at all then you'll like it. Just try it. Also, if you find anthing at all appealing about any Zelda game that you've ever played... you have to play Twilight Princess. It is absolutly the best game I've ever played.

I want the 360. Saints Row and Dead Rising look amazing. Also, Guitar Hero 2, you can DOWNLOAD SONGS. Yeah buddy.
Nintendo lost my respect after...Super Nintendo honestly. They just haven't been able to compete because all their games are kiddish and lame. Wii is just the latest system where they try to pretend that nerds can get exercise by playing and maybe be fun by being physical, but it is very untrue.

they can compete, their sales are the best in the U.S. and Japan. Here's the top ten (in sales for Nov/Dec 2006):
1. Zelda-Wii
2. New Super Mario Brothers-DS
3. Gears of War-360
4. Madden 07-Wii
5. Madden 07-PS2
6. Brain Age-DS
7. Nintendogs-DS
8. Pokemon Ranger-DS
9. Call of Duty-360
10. Final Fantasy XII-PS2
6 of those 10 are nintendo products, so I think they're doing ok

definantly, you can buy any NES, super nintendo, n64, sega genesis, sega cd, or sega saturn. Actually right now I'm playing a lot of Wii sports, I didn't think it would be that great, but it's awesome.

I find it funny, I couldn't sell my PS3 to EB games mainly because they wanted me to give them the system first than they would send me a check in four to eight weeks. sorry I'm not that stupid. so now I'm going to put it on EBay and try to make a pretty penny.

here's a tip, NEVER SELL ANYTHING TO EB GAMES OR GAMESTOP!!!!! Most of the time you can sell your console or games for 3 to 5 times as much money on ebay. I own an ebay store and do a lot of business selling DVDs, CDs and games. Trust me it's definently the way to go.

I don't like the wii. Playing Wii baseball with my friend destroyed my N64.
He was trying to pitch real hard... and the strap broke... and let's face it, is there a single wii player who doesn't have a story that started with "and the strap broke"?

First of all. The straps are pretty damn hard to break. Second of all if you go to nintendosupport.com they'll ship a free wristband to you in 4-5 days that is so much thicker than the original one. After I got my new strap I tried as hard as I could to break the old one and it would not break.

How did i get my Wii...hmmmm...oh thats right, the spring (or summer, I forget) after they came out and the hype had died down a little (before picking up again this past holiday season), our store manager allowed us to purchase them...so thats how i got mine. I was at first septicle about it and a die-hard SONY fan, but now i try to split my time between both of my consoles, the PS3 (which i payed full price for when it first came out...crazy me!) and my Nintendo WII.

I have the 360 and the Wii. It is hard to play both. Sometimes I get totally into a game and ignore the other console.

I've been playing Medal of Honor Heroes 2 online about two hours a day lately. I know that to most of you this game sucks compared to Halo and other shooters. I just like it because I have so many friends from work who play it with me.
