PostFri Dec 29, 2006 9:36 pm    Seven Singing

I was watching my voyager dvd's the other day (the one where the doctor and seven sing "you are my sunshine") and i realized how wonderful seven's (jeri ryans) voice is. i think it would have been nice to add more of her singing to some of the episodes.

Then, you'll be pleased to know she sings in the two parter "The Killing Game"

Hope this helps.

When the Doctor and Seven sing it sounds very realstic. . but when he sings opera is that him or a voice over!!

My favorite one is when he makes up the song as he goes, its been a while since I've seen that episode but if I remember correctly he is day dreaming, and Tuvok is starting pon far.

I think for the most part, every time the Doctor sings, it really is Robert Picardo.

And when the Doctor and Seven sang it was TOTALLY cool. Because they were really singing together, Robert and Jeri, and then the Doctor switched to Harmony...TOTALLY AWESOME! So when I watch that episode, I end up singing with them, and when the Doctor switches to harmony, I pick up the 3rd harmony part, and next thing ya know, I'm singing 3 part harmony with the Doctor and Seven...

Yes, I love music and harmonies...LOL

I remember reading somewhere that it is Picardo who sings but a proffesional singer was used in the episode where he introduces music to the population (don't know the episode name sorry) and theres a really high note that obviously Picardo himself could not reach.

Ya, that much in that episode is obvious...But otherwise it really is his own voice.

The episode is "Virtuoso" in Season 6.

Doc sings 'La Donna e Mobile' beautifully in Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy

As for Seven, I liked her and Doc's duet of 'My Draling Clementine' in Equinox- a touch of dark humour to a dark episode.

Oh yes, that was good! They're both pretty good singers in my opinion. I also liked when they sang that Klingon Drinking song in Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy!
