So, I put this in CC because I didn't want it to be answers like;
"Batman because he wore a rubber suit" (which is a fantastic thing, , but not the area I'm heading for).
I know this sounds weird, but I just read a study about why different types of people are drawn to different types of superheroes, and I want to see if it holds true here. Can't divulge much more than that without contaminating the results, so...

Non-traditional. Knuckles the Echidna, from the comic series. He has knuckles. He's heartfelt. And he has a BAD ATTITUDE. I love my Knux.

I would consider Knuckles more of a video game character, but, whatever floats your boat.
Anyways, I'm gonna vote Batman? Why? Because...he's like James Bond with...bat...gadgets...

You've got a point there, Andy. I will say him, to. Plus, some others...
Jarod (The Pretender)
Wolverine (X-Men)
Batman (Batman)
Superman (Superman)
Neo (The Matrix [Surprised you didnt say this, Andy])
No real order to them.

But you still have

Goku, from Dragonballz. At his strongest(at the end of the show) no superhero or villain can beat him except his enemy Majin Buu.
next to that he has a heart of gold, doesn't know how to give up and doesn't realy struggle with being a superhero like Spiderman and Superman do, even has a family.
Also, he has a number of great super powers.

Hm...Shadowcat always appealed to me. As did Storm and Archangel. I think it's because none of them were inherently violent. And Storm and Shadowcat both have fairly tactile powers - Archangel can fly like a bird, which is why his powers appeal to me They're also all very graceful.

Nightcrawler (Kurt Wagner) from X-Men II
Why:
WikiPedia wrote: | A German mutant, Nightcrawler possesses superhuman agility and the ability to teleport. His physical mutations include blue fur covering his body, yellow eyes and a prehensile tail. This demonic appearance belies his heroic swashbuckling nature and devout Catholicism. |
