-ISS Hornet, Bridge-

Ayida studied Kami for a moment, then let out a small sigh and leaned againts a consol. She reached to where she had stuffed the stolen baton earlier, and took it out of it's holster. Ayida set the holster down on the consol and looked over to Kami as she slid a finger on the collapsed mode of the baton.

"It was last week" she said, "She was caught doing some...very naughty things. One that could cause some... embarrasement, of certain people. While you might thing that could be a good thing, it was simply not in our favor to let it happen right now."

Ayida made a flick of her wrist, and the baton extended to it's full length. She then touched Kami's shoulder lightly with the end, then flicked back the womans hair off her shoulder.

"To the point," Ayida continued, "She was found, whiped for three hours, then hanged."

Ayida giggled at the memory, "It took her eight minutes to die."

-ISS Hornet, E-Deck-

Julian stared at Ward, waiting for his answer, he got fusterated and steped backwards and looked to his Bodyguard.

"Where was he found?"

Kami arched an eyebrow at the woman before turning her attention back to the console before her.

"Well, it seems that you either have a problem with ghosts or an impostor. Figuring that I don't believe in ghosts, I'm going to go with the later of the two options." Kami let her long, graceful fingers move over the keyboard in an attempt to possibly figure out if the voice was masked. There were a few strange spikes in the vocal recognition.

With a frown, Kami followed one hunch and augmented the voice slightly.

"Viola! Your impostor is male."

She moved back so Ayida could see the readout.

Annoyed by Ward's silence, Genevra delivered one swift kick to his groin. The man let out a furious, painful wail and scrunched his vody into a tight ball.

She was about to verbaly reprimand the officer for not responding quickly to the Captain, when Harrison addressed a question to her.

She straightened her body and her uniform and nodded her head towrd the turn in the corridor.

"Just around the corner, Sir. He was supposed to be guarding your door once you called me inside. Something he can't very well do if he allows himself to be taken and bound by perpetrators." She kicked the man again this time in his side. "Worthless scum..." she mumbled as he again recoiled.

Ayida narrowed her eyes and thought on the whole situation, and the facts they were finding. There were things that just didn't add up. Firstly, why this elaborate cover up? There was no one seeming to take credit, which was really strange, as the person had more power coming should this have worked. Second, why was it so easy to uncover these facts? No attempt had been made to hide these facts, or even make some attempt to put up some walls.

"Something isn't right here, girly. This is way, way to easy for the fact that whomever this was, seemingly tried to cover up facts."

Ayida shfted, continuing to play with the baton, indeed, something didn't add up.

"What if it was all just some weird distraction? I mean, it was a half assed attempt it seems."

Ayida let out a sigh, and then looked down to the computer monitor, where the results showed the voice was indeed, male. She wondered just who it was, and who those two men were.

-ISS Hornet, E-Deck-

Julian studied the man down on the floor for a moment, then let out a sigh and looked over to Genevra, and Lee. He hated Lee with a passion, but was reminded of the old saying 'Keep your enemies closer, for they have ambitions againts you. Your friends, closer, as they have bigger ones.'

Julian knew that no matter the title, Lee definitly fit into that saying. Lee was one that made it public about his...ambitions. Julian looked to Genevra.

"I have an idea, let's take him to sickbay, I'm sure doctor Crane could use... a patient."

Julian looked over to Lee, and gave a slight growl to the man.

"Return to your station"

ISS Hornet, Bridge

Kami sighed heavily and took a seat.

"I guess, technically, they could have a recording of T'Sel calling for the captain. But, how often did T'Sel do that? I mean, they could easily have just broadcasted it over the system."

Kami looked at the readout before her and tried to think of any more explanations, but nothing else was coming to mind. She glanced over at Ayida. Already, things were much more interesting on this ship than any other ship Kami had ever been on. With a smile to herself, Kami went back to figuring out if the voice could have been a recording or not.

Genevra gave a simple nod in response.

"Brilliant idea, Sir." She knelt, re-gagged the man, and easily slung the man over her shoulder.

"He'll be an example. Zero tolerance for incompetence."

She stands and leads he way to sickbay.

-ISS Hornrt, Sickbay-

Genevra entered sickbay, a bound and gagged Ward still slung over her shoulder, and Julian close behind.

"Special delivery Crane," she called out. "Where do you want him?"

I.S.S. Hornet, Quarters

Helena sat on the black leather sofa of her quarters, the lights dim, with soft classical music playing over the comline, to help calm her nerves. Two red glowing metallic devices were attached to her head, the neural suppressants, given to the young Canadian woman by the macabre "doctor" of the Hornet, Alexander Crane. The neural suppressants were vibrating, soothing her mind, while emanating a bright red light. She had been in her quarters for about ten minutes, while the neural suppresants did their job. She could feel her anger, frustration, and self-hatred fading away, as the voice from the back of her mind was silenced, for the time being.

At length, she opened her eyes, her long black eyelashes fluttering open, as she slowly lifted her hands, to remove the devices from her forehead. She removed the devices and tossed them down on the nightstand, beside the sofa. She would have placed the devices on her coffee table, however, that would be impossible, as she had broken her table, in a fit of rage, earlier. She had already ordered someone to clean up the mess. Now, not even a shard of glass remained where the table once was. She would have to live without a table, for the time being. She would manage.

The young Canadian woman simply sat there for a moment, batting her eyelids, as she took a few deep breaths, with a wave of calmness sweeping through her body. An indeterminate amount of time later, Helena arose from her place on the sofa, while straightening the folds in her "uniform", which only consisted of a navy blue top, which exposed her midriff, along with a pair of matching pants and heavy leather combat boots, in the process. She stretched for a moment, as using the neural suppressants had an adverse effect on one's body after use, though, over time, Helena had grown used to the sideffects, which no longer bothered her.

Helena remained in her quarters for a moment or two, pacing about across the soft carpet, until she realized it was about time she head to the Bridge, to report for duty. She wouldn't want any screw-ups on her first day of duty. After all, she had "worked" hard for this position and couldn't afford to lose it, not now. With a heavy sigh, as she was not particularly looking forward to meeting the Captain or anyone else in the crew, especially after her run-in with that sick bastard of a doctor, Crane, Helena marched out of her quarters, off towards the Bridge.

I.S.S. Hornet, Bridge

Roughly ten minutes later, Helena arrived on the Bridge, via the Turbolift. She found the once vacant Bridge filled with officers, including the First Officer of the Hornet and the Captain's woman, who seemed to be mulling over a computer console about something or other. It was none of her concern. Helena swiftly walked across the Bridge, brushing past an engineer who was making some last-minute repairs on the Bridge, who wore a scowl on his face, to take her seat at the communications, or, comm station.

-I.S.S. Hornet, Bridge-

Ayida looked to Kami with curiosity, hadn't she just mentioned the voice was faked? It was hard telling to know what the 'facts' where, due to this... attempted cover up. Ayida let out a sigh and pressed a hand on the other end of her baton, while using her other hand, and pressing the release button, and then pressed both hands together, causing the baton to collapse.

"Well, girly, it's like this. The computer said the voice was a disguised male voice. Perhaps that to, isn't right, I don't know, I don't really care, I say we figure out who those two faces were on the bridge."

Ayida shifted and with a flick of her wrist, extended the baton again. She leaned forward and then spoke to the computer.

"Computer, run a scan on the security log of the bridge, who are the two unknowns?"

The computer made a buzz as it processed it's order and spoke.

"Please specify request" the male voice said.

Ayida rolled her eyes; the damned machine was annoying as all get out. She hated it, and saw no real use for it.

"The ones that came in from the turbolift, you no good waste of space."

The computer buzzed again, ignoring the insult, as it did not even recognize that it was being insulted.

"Search complete, records show Ensign Bosworth, and Lieutenant Hoyt entered the bridge at specified time."

Ayida stood up strait and made a surprised giggle, now they were getting someplace. There were still questions, though. They were working with someone on this ship, they had to be. It was clearly someone with power, if they managed to clear out the bridge.

"We're getting close, girly..."

Ayida tapped the monitor with the baton, and studied the faces on the screen.

"I've never seen them before, and I know all of the faces on this ship. They must be assigned to the shipyards."

The doors to the turbolift opened and an engineer walked out, and moved over to a station to begin some adjustments. Ayida turned back to the monitor and spoke to the computer again.

"Computer, run an analysis on the voice file and determine the identity of the speaker and display personal file."

The computer buzzed and started running a scan, comparing the file Ayida specified, with voice samples on record. A file appeared, to which Ayida smirked, but her smirked quickly disappeared when another appeared, followed by another. Ayida's face turned into one of rage when she saw that a total of eight different files were displayed.

Ayida let out a curse of annoyance and kicked at the consol she was near, which only made a thud against the metal. Ayida let out a sigh and then studied the computer. She was about to ask another question when someone else walked onto the bridge, and moved for the communications station. Ayida studied the stranger for a moment, but recognized the face from the files Julian had read a week ago. She simply shrugged it off and looked back to the computer.

"I know of someone that has access to the systems to do that sort of thing, girly, our own chief engineer."

-I.S.S. Hornet, Sickbay-

Julian walked into sickbay, and took a quick glance around of Cranes little shop of horrors. Crane seemed to thrive on pain of others as that is the only thing Julian saw when he looked around this...room. Julian stepped towards Crane and Genevra.

"Doctor, set up a ARA, if he can answer coherently, I'll award you by letting you keep him."

-I.S.S. Hornet, D-Deck, Section J-15: EPS Junction/Manifold-

Parks arrived to the junction several minutes ago, and had removed the panels from the walls and after removing several other conduits and pipes, managed to get inside the wall to work on the system. It would involve taking the internal sensors offline, in order to properly upgrade the system.

Parks looked at a small control station for the internal sensor control, and made a few commands on the small keypad, and then heard a chime, and then the male voice of the computer spoke.

[i]"Internal sensors, have been taken offline."

Parks made a smirk, and set about his work, that was the first phase of the little plan he was involved with, now for Reeves to get the other part done.

ISS Hornet, Bridge

Kami nodded to Ayida.

"I think we have a reason to visit our chief engineer." Kami turned on her heel and started to walk towards the turbolift. She paused for a second before turning back to Ayida. "Do you think we should get some backup? Just in case. We took care of those three back there, but, we might have more resistance with this engineer."

Kami pursed her lips and watched Ayida carefully. Personally, she felt they would be alright. But it was always best to get a second opinion...

-ISS Hornet, Sickbay-

Crane turned around when he heard Genevra speak.

"Special delivery Crane," she called out. "Where do you want him?"

He was surprised to see her carrying a form over her shoulder. Crane always thought of her as weak. He couldn't believe that she had the strength to do that. She might have been stronger then he though and he suddenly had the urge to cut out all of her muscles and study them.

"Right there." He pointed to an empty bio-bed.

Before she could respond, Julian entered and ordered Crane to do something.

"Doctor, set up a ARA, if he can answer coherently, I'll award you by letting you keep him." He ordered.

Crane was still angry at him for leaving that annoying woman to guard him. He was also annoyed that Julian treated him like a child and "awarded" him.

"Gee thanks." He muttered to the captain.

He began to set up the equipment for the autonomic response analysis.

-I.S.S. Hornet, Bridge-

Ayida eyed Kami carefully, and made a slight shrug, she didn't care the engineer, or any goons he might have try to fight for him, it was the warp core she was worried about.

"What ever you want, girly, I'd be more worried about the warp core, and the delta rays it gives off."

Ayida stepped forward and pressed the call button for the turbolift. She then collasped the baton, and placed it in the holster, which she slid back into her shirt. One could see it, due to the... female version of the uniform. She let out a sigh and placed her hands on her hips.

"I suppose, we'll have to... lure him out, there's no way in hell, will I enter that damn engine room."

-I.S.S. Hornet, D-Deck, Section J-15: EPS Junction/Manifold-

Parks grunted as he moved a heavier panel away from the actuall EPS Junction and peered at it. Normally, in this setting, he'd make it look like he was doing work, but being as he would have to do this anyways, he decided to just get it over with. The thought of the future made him smile, if he could get away from that damn core, he'd get to live a longer life. That didn't really matter at this point, the Delta Rays were begining to do their damage...

-I.S.S. Hornet, Sickbay-

Julian stood and waited for everything to be set up. He looked down to a tray of differnt tools, with differnt colors of fluid on them. Clearly, some had dried on, some was wet, and some was....damp. It was likely blood from various creatures, and non Terrans. Terran blood of course was also in the mix...someplace.

Julian let out a little sigh and picked up a scaple, which was a differnt sight, with the laser technology that was 'developing' at R&D. Julian looked up to see if Genevra had set the body down yet.

-I.S.S. Hornet, Sickbay-

Genevra flopped the body onto the biobed Crane had indicated.

He had given her a strange look. One that made her uneasy. It was as if he were sizing her up for one of his experiments. She would have to speak to Julian about it. No doubt the captain would not be pleased if his personal guard were to be harmed.

Ganted, she could take care of the doctor herself. If only Jullian would allow it. Alas, Crane did get his job done. His methods were effactive. Genevra would just have to deal with the man for the time being.

She stands straight and casts a cold stare into Cranes eyes as if to show him he did not intimidate the woman.

Crane had the biggest urge to stab the captain when he noticed the man pick up one of his medical devices. However, before he could do so, there was movement. He noticed Genevra toss the man on a biobed and eyed him in some fierce way. Crane could only roll his eyes, not fearful of her at all. Not because he thought he could overpower her, but because to him, she represented weakness. All Humans did. Only the empowered master race that he was building would be worthy of his adoration. He began to set up the equipment as ordered and after a few minutes, completed his task.

"It's ready." He said in a monotonic voice.

He looked back at Genevra and continued to eye her, wondering where he would dissect her first.

Genevra leaned casually against a vacent biobed as she continued to study Crane. What an interesting man he seemed to be. At least he was to Genevra. She usually could figure people out rather easily. It was, afterall, her job to instantly assess people, and evaluate their threat leval. Crane, however, was a hard nut to crack. There was a lot of unknown about the man, and that is what intrigued her about him. He was up to something, that much was clear. She knew he conducted many experiments in his sickbay, but never knew what end he was trying to meet with them.

She watched as the man set up his equiptment for the ordered procedure. When he finished, he returned his eyes to Genevera. The look made Genevera feel as though Crane were trying to see inside her, to see through the person and into what made her tick. He looked as though he would like nothing more than to have her on one of his biobeds. THe thought made Genevra smile ever so slightly.

Kami laughed lightly and winked at Ayida.

"I'll play bait. Unless this guy doesn't do that sort of thing." Kami pursed her lips and shifted her weight. "Either way, that man's coming out of that engine room."

A frown creased over Kami's lips and rippled across her face as she thought for a few moments. It was, in fact, a risky business getting this man out. It was even more risky if he suspected what they were there for.

-I.S.S. Hornet, Bridge-

Ayida looked Kami over and made a smirk, then gave an approving nod as the turbolift door slid opened. She gently touched the exposed part of Kami's back with her hand as she bushed by her to enter the turbolift. Ayida spun around and looked at Kami and turned her head to the side and spoke with a slight purr in her voice.

"Mmm, I think you'll do just fine. He's always liked a good...form" Ayida made a motion with her hand, to show that the engineer would...appreciate her body. "Yeah, just fine."

Ayida smiled again and stepped to the side to let Kami enter the turbolift, Definitly an interesting woman, she had only been on the ship for a short ammount of time, and Ayida found that she wanted to keep Kami closer then she had origionally planned.

-I.S.S. Hornet, Sickbay-

Julian looked down to Ward, the Ensign that had scorned Genevra as he been captured. It would appear, Ward did not even put up a fight, which means that he had to be involved somehow. The evidence was quite clear.

"Ensign" Julian said, "I want names. You would be smart to give them to me."

The young Ensign looked over to Julian and narrowed his eyes. He spat towards Julian and screamed out, his face turning red, in several various shades.

"Bastard" He yelled, "I'll kill you! I'll cut you into pieces!"

Julian made a slight growl in his throat and stepped closer to Ward. He balled his hands into fist. It was appearent, that Ward would need some... 'convicing' that he should speak.

-I.S.S. Hornet, Main Engineering, Upper Level-

Jarod Gersh, the current chief engineer of the Hornet still stood on the catwalk that cut across the middle of the room. In front of the catwalk was the warpcore, which had several officers working near it. He could see them trying to do their job as quickly as they could. Jarod made a slight groan and rolled his eyes and turned to face the oppiset side, to see what the engineers were doing there.

Reeves looked up to see Jarod look away, then moved over towards the internal sensor access. With it currently being down due to the upgrades, the alarms were also deactivated. Reeves currently had a chance to do his work to the system, and no one notice.
