PostMon Jan 01, 2007 8:00 pm    New Years Resolutions

Any resolutions out there?

As soon as I move to Portland (~3 days or so), the wife and I are going on a diet. We are trying to lose a bit of weight before our wedding so we will be happier. I need to lose weight, however, she does not.

No, I hate them. They're mostly utopia's, or goals you can't achieve because there's no plan behind it. They're too good to be true, unless you have a plan that you can work out so that you can achieve that goal, and a support team if necessary.
I'm happy with my life as it is now, I don't wanna change a thing.

now they have to have plans behind them? what the hell?

Do a little better in school... at least a B average by doing homework, paying more attention in class, studying for tests, and doing a little less socially to commit this goal. Consequence of not completeing this goal is not having any more financial aide, which pushes me to do better.

Same as it was last year...lose some weight and have sexy abs in time for spring break.

Unfortunately, right now, sitting on the computer sounds much better than actually working towards that goal.

Actually I only have three...(for now), but here they are in all their glory...(for now):

1.) Try to call in "sick" to work less this year then last. Granted I only called in anywhere from 4-10 times last year (can't remember), but my goal is ZERO, something I could never accomplish in school cuz it was so boring .

2.) Be nicer to the guests (customers) that come into our store. You know, find out what exactly they want and such and if its a little kid, get down to their level and have fun .

3.) DROP THE CAFFEINE!!! I have a serious addiction to it I think and I am slowly weening myself off already, I already switched from caffeine soda to caffeine free soda...and am already experiencing the side-effects (darn headaches )

Drink Sierra Mist! No caffeine, and it tastes good! As for the being nice thing, pretend you work for LL Bean and would get fired if you weren't,

^I tried that one, but the headaches were too much to take at work. I'm already back to Mountain Dew.

I'm just going to try and do as well academically and have as much fun this year as I did last semester. I'm also hoping to do Habitat for Humanity over spring break and possibly get an internship over the summer...but the last two are more plans then resolutions
