-I.S.S. Hornet, Captain's Quarter's-

Genevra became aware of the opening door even before it completed it's action. She looked up to see a tense looking Julian silently order her inside. She nodded a quick response.

She pulled her communication device from her pocket and flipped it open.

"Corporal O'Halloran to Ensign Ward."

Yes, Ma'am, came the responce. Go Ahead.

"Report to Harrison's quarters. Stat. You'll be taking my guard post for the time being."

Yes, Ma'am. Of course. Right away, came the voice from the device.

Genevra snapped the object closed and slipped in back into her pocket.

She stood and placed the chair in the corner by the plant. None of the other guards would dare sit while on duty. Julian wouldn't stand for it, and Genevra would have their heads over such an act.

She sighed in annoyance that her replacement had not yet arrived. She hated to be kept waiting. Almost as much as she hated making Harrison wait for her. She casually twirled her dagger in her palm as she leaned against the wall and waited for Ward.

Approximetly four and a half minutes later the young Ensign appeared.

In one of her blind fits of fury she weilded the dagger in the direction of Ward's head. It catches the fabric of his uniforms shoulder, and wedges tightly between two metal panels of the wall, without cutting his skin. She is not at all phased my her own persision . She had, of course, known exactly where the blade would land. Close enough to the man's head to require most Ensigns to change into a fresh pair of regulation underware. Not her small staff thouogh. Her temper was well-known and feared, yet they all know the price of showing that fear in such a cowerdly fashion would likely be; being ordered to go to sickbay for a check-up.

"Where the Hell have you been," she demanded as the dagger nearly grazed his ear. She continued before he can stammer a responce. "When I tell you to be somewhere, I expect you to drop whatever the hell your pansyass is doing, and get there. You are not to keep me waiting again. Do I make myself clear?"

"Y...yes Ma'am," he sputtered. "It will not happen again."

"See that it doesn't," she growled as she placed the bottom of her boot to his chest. She twisted her body slightly and grasped the dagger handle. "Next time this will land between you're eyes." She punctuated the threat by yanking the knfe from it's resting place.

Ward tried but failed to supress a cough of sorts when the foot left his chest.

Genevra shook her head at his weakness as she picked up her sharpening stone. She punched her code into the console and dissapeared into Julian's quarters, and evil smile lingering on her lips.

"What can I do for you, Sir?"

-I.S.S. Hornet, Captain's Quarters-

Julian looked back to Genevra as she had walked in. He made a slight smirk as she had asked what she could do for him, he had several ideas in mind, but there was not much they could do at this time. Julian stepped over towards the very attractive red headed woman and looked her over.

Julian walked behind Genevra and then teached around and grabbed at her neck, placing a hand on her throat, he looked as if he could close his hand and chrush her throat. Julian leaned in closely, and took a sniff of Genevra's shampoo and then made a devlish grin.

"I don't suppose you can tell me anything on Lee's activities lately?"

-Cestus III Shipyards, Drydock, Docking Port/Corridor-

Lee moved though the docking port of the Shipyard where the Hornet was docked. The corridor he entered into was dark, with no one currently around, which was strange, considaring the nature of the station, and the fact work was being one on an active vessel that was currently docked.

Lee came to a stop at an intersection and looked around, it seemed he was alone. He shouldn't have been, as he made a specific request for everything to be done in a timely manner. Lee shifted his weight and looked at the three empty corridors that all came to one connecting point in the middel with the one he just came though.

"You're late" A voice said in the darkness.

Lee looked to the corridor across the one from where he came from. There was a stiring in the faint light, and a form came visible. The form came to a stop before his face was revealed, and Lee could see behind him, three others. The light revealed that all four men that approched Lee were in MACO uniforms, the patches on their shoulders had the words "Cestus" etched into them, much like the one on Lee's shoulder said "Hornet"

"The hell I am, General. I'm precily on the time I said I would arrive."

A puff of smoke came from the area the General was, there was a strange musty smell suddenly in the air. The General had been smoking a cigar of some sort. Not many smoked at all lately, everyone wanted to keep in shape to serve the empire, and to rise in rank and power.

"The clock that I" the General said, "And this entire operation goes by, should I accept the agreement, says you are late."

Lee scoffed and looked to the shadow where the General was. It would seem that there was a slight problems in the plans he had fomulated...

-I.S.S. Hornet, Captain's Quarters-

Genevra fcould feel Julians eyes on her as he slowly circled her.

She smiled at his rough grab. She did so enjoy it when he'd play rough. A fact he was well aware of and often used to his advantage.

The touch was welcomed. When he leaned in to enhale the scent of her hair, she smiled slyly, and gave her hair a slight shake in an almost teasing manor.

"I don't suppose you can tell me anything on Lee's activities lately?"

Damn, she thinks. Back to bussiness.

"Personally, I have never trusted the man. Lately he's been recluse. Chances are he's up to no good. Seeing that I spend the majority of my time...consentrating on your...whereabouts... I am not up-todate on the specifics of his actions. I can take care of him outright if you wish."

-I.S.S. Hornet, Captain's Quarters-

Julian smirked at the hint that Genevra had given him. The offer certainly was...tempting. However, Lee was in a more vunerable position then Harrison had let on. The only problem was the people Lee had employed, it has become clear to Julian in the last few weeks that even some of the Starfleets were in his employ. Julian could never figure out who though.

"Hmmmmn...tempting, my dear. Very tempting, but alas, we cannot yet."

Julian shoved her backwards into the wall with a grunt and pressed his arm againts her chest and sneered at her with a mixed smirk.

"I just might have something else planed for you, however..."

Julian used his free hand and flicked a part of her loose bangs aside from her eyes.

-Cestus III Shipyards, Drydock, Docking Port/Corridor-

Lee looked to the men ahead of him, and considared killing them all right there. He could do it before they could react, to. However, he needed them, as much as they stupidly refused to admit they needed him. Lee took a step forward, and spoke with pure contempt for the man.

"You listen, and you listen good you smug bastard."

The General narrowed his eyes at the man, but did not budge.

"I have worked weeks to plan this to the letter, and I am not about to let some no name general in a no name system tell me what I am, and am not going to do, not when I am this close."

The General chuckled in a sinister manner and blew smoke into Lee's face.

-I.S.S. Hornet, Captain's Quarters-

Genevra nearly let out an involuntary purr when Julian shoved her against the wall. He was definatly toying with her, and she was eating it up.

"I just might have something else planed for you, however..."

She slowly wet her lips during his last statement, and let them come to a rest in a slightly parted position.

She raised her hands slightly, positioning them on his hips.

She raises a suggestive eyebrow and looks into his eyes with and equally suggestive smile.

"Your wish is my command, Sir."

-ISS Hornet, E-Deck, Sickbay-

Crane groaned outwardly at her response and he couldn't care less what the captain had said. His loyalty was to his work, not to some no named captain. He walked across sickbay, ignoring Ayida the entire time. If the captain demanded she stay, then so be it, but he wasn't going to entertain her by any means. Crane approached a Cardassian Vole and pondered if he should dissect it. To calm himself, he would often cut open living animals without anestia.

-I.S.S. Hornet, Sickbay-

Ayida stared at Crane for a moment, considaring her options. She saw an open moment to simply jump him, take his own dagger, and slide it into his throat. However, that would obviously cause him to not do the work Julian wanted, which would have certain...repercusions, when Julian figured out what happened.

Ayida walked over to where Crane was standing, and looked down to the rather odd animal sitting on one of the tables. Ayida was interested in what it was, having never seen one before. No, doubt it was something for Cranes... 'work', as he was always importing stuff to use.

Ayida reached out and touched Cranes arm slightly, and let out a small noise, in an attempt to lull Crane into some sort of... relaxation.

"Relax, Crane. Julian will leave you alone if your good and do your work. Where is the stuff we need?"

-Cestus III Shipyards, Drydock, Docking Port/Corridor-

Several minutes of battering back and forth, the General was still trying to impose his leadership over the plan, but Lee remined the General that it could be some time before a starship could make an assult on the shipyard, and it would be easy for Lee to find someone else to help him.

With everything set in motion, Lee moved back for the ship, to resume his duty, and make sure things stayed normal for as long as possible.

-I.S.S. Hornet, Docking Port-

The doors to the port hissed open and Lee steped though, both men at the door saluted Lee, who carried on like he didn't even notice. The two men also did not react, as if they had expected that reaction.

-I.S.S. Hornet-, Main Engineering-

Several engineers were moving about the rather small room, which was dominated by the rather large, and dangeroous warp reactor. The danger of course, was the Delta rays the thing put out. It was known across the fleet, albiet not offically, that for every one year you spent next to the core, there was ten years that was shaved off of your life. It was also not uncommon for engineers, especialy ones that have been engineers for a long period of time to have radiation burns. The standard was for each officer in engineering to wear a radiation meter.

Parks, a young Lieutenant in Engineering was standing at a diagnostic consol, and like many of the other engineers, trying to stand far away from the core as possible.

Parks was the assistant chief of Engineering, and hated his assignment. He wanted power, and glory. With that, someone found him easily, and made a deal with him.

Parks looked over to where he heard footsteps, and saw that Reeves had stepped up to a read out, to study a diagram. Parks had made an ally of the sorts with Reeves, who also hated engineering, but tried to make the best of it, although Reeves to, wanted power and glory.

-I.S.S. Hornet, Captain's Quarters-

Julian smirked at Genevra. She certainly placed a lucerative offer. Sometimes it was hard to resist, and remember that at any given time, she could kill Julian, and everyone on the ship, including herself would rise in rank.

"That's nice to know, dear Genevra."

Julian moved back from the wall, and turned to push her towards the sleeping area as he stared into her eyes.

"I think, I'll keep you on that..."

Before much more could happen, the comline beeped, and a female voice spoke over the line.

Bridge, to Captain Harrison."

-I.S.S. Hornet, Captain's Quarters-

The beep of the comline interupted the moment.
Bridge, to Captain Harrison.

Genevra fumed over the timnig. She did so hate for her play time to be interupted. If the interuption were not for something that required Jullian's imediate attention, Genevra would personaly see to it that heads would roll. Then again, she might decide to let someone have it either way. If Jullian's attention were taken away from her, she would need something to entertain herself. Jullian never seemed to object to her fiery temper. In fact, he seemed to enjoy watching or hearing about her expressing her rage against others. As long as Genevra never touched anyone he saw as off limits, she was pretty much given free reign to do as she pleased.

She sighed heavily but kept her hands on his thighs as she waited for him to respond to the unfortunate soul that she was already making plans for.

"Relax, Crane. Julian will leave you alone if your good and do your work. Where is the stuff we need?" She asked.

The "doctor", furious with the annoying gnat placed by the captain, was unable to take anymore. He would never be able to finish his work if she continued to hover around him. Alexander Crane stared down at the medical tray that sat below him. A small pool of blood flooded the tray and as he ran his fingers over each tool, blood stuck to his finger tips. He finally setteled on a large blade that looked more like a butcher's knife rather then a medical tool. With incredible speed, he spun around and shoved her against a biobed in an uncomfertable position. He pressed the blood covered blade against her neck and pierced an inch of her skin.

"If you don't shut up," He seethed, "I'm going to make you my next experiment...understood?"

Cestus III Shipyards

With a heavy trudge and the sound of clanking as her metal heels hit the metal of the docks, a woman made her way towards the ISS Hornet as it sat in the shipyards. Her dark hair fell haphazardly into her eyes, covering them from view. Her hair was long, pulled back loosely in a ponytail clasped halfway down her back. She had, slung over her right shoulder, a pack of black material, torn and worn from years of use and abuse. Her saunter was confident but not completely purposeful, as if to suggest she didn't care where she was going or what her goal was. With a stifled yawn, the woman reached the Hornet, glancing up at the ship in half-amusement and half-boredom. It took a lot for her to get "impressed"...

Moving quickly and gracefully, Kami made her way up to the ship, moving inside quickly and setting her things down with a heavy thud as she looked up and down the corridor for someone to talk to. This ship, after all, was her new assignment... her new pain in the butt... whatever else she wanted to call it. A hand brushed her dark hair out of her face as she looked around again, trying to decide which way to go. She was left handed and so she went left.

A few minutes later, Kami found what appeared to be a set of corridors leading to quarters or some other sort of housing department. She took a right this time, heading into the ship farther, hopefully towards the bridge of something of the sort...

-I.S.S. Hornet, Sickbay-

Ayida simply smiled and her eyes widened with glee. The man apprently had not lost touch, and accoriding to his...'medical' staff, he was becoming...weak.

"Well, well" Ayida said, "It would seem the good doctor still has some...kick after all. You really should speak to your staff, they are convniced you're growing weak."

Ayida placed a hand gently on Cranes, who still held the knife in his hand.

"Crane" Ayida said simply.

Crane had to know, cutting the Captain's Woman was just going to get him on one of his infamous tables. Ayida stared into the doctors eyes carefully.

-I.S.S. Hornet, Captain's Quarters-

Julian had ignored the hail at first, not noticing the outside world, which was usually a mistake for someone in his position to do. He wondered why Genevra had seemed to be upset when he heard a noise, one belonging to the com.

"Captain Harrison, please respond."

Harrison shook his head and looked towards the panel on the wall. He made a slight snarl towards it and stood. Julian went to the wall and pressed the button to respond.

"What is it" he demanded.

The female voice responded again, the officer seemed to ingore the emotional outburst from Julian, or pay any attention to the fact she just inturrpted him.

"Captain, Spacedock reports that the final equipment will be on board within twenty minutes. We can depart sooner then planned."

Julian looked over to Genevra, who was obviously upset, and was probably only going to get worse. Looking back to the com, Julian responded to the female.

"I'll be there momenttarily" Julian closed the channel and looked back to Genevra.

"Sorry, my dear. It seems we'll have to wait to...play."

With that, Julian moved for the door, pressing the button to exit his quarters.

ISS Hornet

Kami continued to wander the halls, eventually coming upon what appeared to be the bridge. She stepped onto the bridge hesitantly, looking around. It was vacant. With a sigh, Kami set down her bag, stood, and observed the bridge. It was nicely built, though as usual, Kami remained rather unimpressed. She had yet to see any of the crew and she didn't know what to expect quite yet. Whatever would meet her, Kami knew she wouldn't be deterred.

-I.S.S. Hornet, Sickbay-

Ayida studied Crane for a moment, then with a swift percision, but gental one, she pushed the man away and headed for the door. She looked back at Crane and narrowed her eyes for a moment.

"Just get it done..."

Ayida turned and exited the room, using the door panel to open them. Ayida quickly moved though the corridors, and went for the turbolift, figuring Julian would be on the bridge.

Ayida hit the call button for the turbolift, but the doors opened right away, as someone had just used it a moment ago. Entering and turning to face the door, Ayida pressed the black button marked "A" for A-Deck, aka the Bridge.

-I.S.S. Hornet. E-Deck, Corridor-

The bridge was now empty, safe for the new first officer, and soon, Ayida. Julian didnt know this of course, and when he exited his quarters, he did not see the butt of the rifle slaming into his chest, knocking him backwards. A voice yelled out.

"Get her! get the damn doors!"

They were of course, refering to the Captain's Quarters, and the body guard, Genevra.

-I.S.S. Hornet. Bridge-

The doors to the turbolift hissed as they slid open, and Ayida strode out. Right away, she knew something was fishy, for the bridge was empty, even of the guards that should be at the access points. All accept for one person, a female from the looks of the body of course, and the real dead give away was the state of dress, or well...the lack of one.

"Who the hell are you" Ayida demanded. She placed her hand on the handel of heer Phase Pistol.

ISS Hornet, Bridge

The commotion behind Kami made her freeze, but she remained relaxed, her hands at her side as she waited for the commotion to stop. She heard a woman's voice call out for her to identify herself. With a graceful and rather seductive point turn, Kami crossed her arms over her ample chest and raised a dark eyebrow at the woman who was pointing a phase pistol at her. Another eye judged the woman to be no officer aboard this vessel, more of a civilian.

"I am Katayashi Mitsumono, your first officer."

Kami shifted her weight again, her shoulders thrown back in a proud manner as she watched the woman before her. She stared the woman down, her dark eyes a steel grey-black, cold and menacing almost to a fault. With a quick and deliberate step, Kami got a little closer to the woman, still leery but unabashed with the woman's phase pistol still pointed at her.

"I suggest you lower your weapon, woman." Kami's voice boomed out over the bridge as she uncrossed her arms and leaned her upper body towards the woman in a menacing and overbearing manner. Kami was a good five inches taller than the woman and her build was a bit heftier and stronger than the woman before her. With a sneer, Kami waited for compliance.

-I.S.S. Hornet, Bridge-

Ayida narrowed her eyes at the rather...attractive woman, and noticed her attempts to stare her down. She didn't quite belive the woman and glanced to her shoulders. There, in the proper place for the ranks, she saw the rank of Commander. This woman certainly had the rank for first officer, but did she have the position of first officer?

Ayida's eyes, while leaving her phase pistol pointed at the 'first officer' as the asian woman claimed glanced around the bridge. Void of other life save her the commander, and herself. The bridge access points seemed to be secured. Ayida slid her eyes over to the front right stair access, and saw that well, no one was not only there, but not even inside the door frame. The one to her left front, she couldnt see as she wasnt at the right angle, but it was probably the same result. The same with the right rear access, the doors to Julians ready room, and naturally, behind her, the turbolift.

"I suppose the empty bridge, is your doing, eh girlie?"

-I.S.S. Hornet, E-Deck, Corridor-

Julian shook his head and looked up, and saw that there were four officers standing over him, two Atarfleet, two MACO. There was a noise in his quarters, and one of the MACO's, remembering Genevra, turned and slamed a hand on the door panel, causing the doors to slam shut.

"We've got you now, you bastared. I've waited for this day."

Julian narrowed his eyes at the one that spoke, and readied himself for a fight, when the moment came, he could be on his feet before they even knew what happened.

-I.S.S. Hornet, E-Deck, Corridor 2-

Lee was moving though one of the many corridors of E-Deck, to go about his business when he heard a comotion from down the corridor. He stoped and placed his finger on the trigger, preparing himself for an ambush. Slowly, and quite carfully, Lee moved down the corridor towards the corner, with his back againts the wall. When he reached the end, Lee reached into a pocket on the chest of his vest, and pulled out a small mirror. Placing it at an angel, Lee held it out slowly, and looked at the reflection which was showing the attack on the Captain.

Damn Lee said to himself.

Lee gritted his teeth, weeks of planning were about to go down the drain.

-I.S.S. Hornet, Engineering-

Parks continued to do his work, checking the display and makng notations on a PADD. It was almost time for the schedualed adjustment to the sensor, and guidance systems, which would requirer both to be taken offline. Normally that would only take a little bit of time, and would be done in this case before they left spacedock, but an arrangement was made for some...unforseen trouble to happen. This would all of course, not effect any other systems, and no one would see any reason to delay the launch of the ship.

"Parks" a voice bellowed.

Parks looked up to a catwalk, not effected by his name being yelled like that. It was a normal thing to happen, for the Chief Engineer to bellow someones name, for no reason what so ever, other then he felt like it.

"Get your ass to the EPS Junction, and get the upgrades done...NOW!"

Parks nodded and gave a salute to his supperior.

"Yes, Commander" Parks replied, using the shortend version of the Chief Engineers Lieutenant Commander rank.

When the engineer looked away, Parks gave a simple glance to Reeves, who understood the look and gave the slightes, unnoticble, and random nod.

ISS Hornet, Bridge

Kami looked at the woman and took another menacing step towards her, darkness starting to seemingly cloud over her face as rage began to build within Kami's chest. She felt a tightness that she knew was anger and she felt her blood beginning to boil.

"Listen, woman!" Kami almost yelled, still unabated by the phase pistol held in the woman's hands. "I just boarded the ship from the docks and this is how I found the ship. I should be asking you why I wasn't greeted with the proper welcoming party!" Kami took another hostile step towards the woman. "Now... WHERE is your captain, woman? And you had better answer me quickly before I really start getting annoyed!"

A final, loud, resounding step was Kami's answer. She now stood, just in front of the woman, the phase pistol touching her chest, her five inches of height seemingly to be a few feet as Kami towered over the woman, clouds of anger boiling behind her in an almost visual maelstrom.

"Answer me!"

-ISS Hornet, Bridge-

Ayida's eyes widened for a mment at the Commanders words. She sneered at the woman, and was about to respond when she screamed at her. Ayida stumbled backwards, caught by surprise of the...outburst. One thing worried her, well, two things. The lack of guards on the bridge, and the fact she was asking for Harrison.

"He's...not in his ready room?"

Ayida lowered the Phase Pistol, and then lept towards the science station, going to the main computer interface. She pressed the controls to activate the voice interface.

"Computer, locate Captain Harrison."

The Computer buzzed, in aknowlegement of its request.

"Captain Harrison", the male voice responded, "Is located on E-Deck."

Ayida raised an eyebrow, but figured that Julian went for a drink. Although, she was still worried about the lack of guards.

Ayida narrowed her eyes as she looked back to the Commander. There was supposed to be a new FO, a female one at that.

"Alright, Commander, you have your answer."

The young Lieutenant shifted her weight and moved towards the other woman, and slowly holstered her weapon, but kept her hand rested on the handel, just in case.

"I can't tell you about the lack of..greeting, that's not my place"

+ 3 Dilithium. Good post.

I.S.S. Hornet, Quarters

Lieutenant Helena Ravin sat on the black leather sofa in her living room, with the lights dimmed to a minimum. In her delicate pale hand she held a glittering silver knife, with a four inch blade and a handle made out of pure black marble. A white etching of a snake was engraved in the side of the magnificently crafted handle. The snake's fork tounge was pointed out, towards the blade, in a menacing fashion. Each individual scale on the snake's lengthy body was there, with excellent marksmanship and precise placement. Whoever had made this knife knew their job well.

This knife, which she held in her hands, at this very moment, was the only connection Helena had to her parents, as it had belonged to her father. Both of her parents had been dead for years, ever since Helena was an infant. The young Canadian woman never had a chance to meet her parents. Perhaps, if she had met her parents, her life would have turned out differently. What was she know? A nobody Starfleet officer on a useless Starfleet vessel. Or, as a fellow classmate, back at the Academy, had called her, a *beep*? Who was she supposed to be? What did her life amount up to? She knew that in this world, power meant everything, however...despite how...pathetic...it sounded...Helena would give up everything...power, wealth...everything...just for a chance to meet her long-lost parents. Though, if her superiors knew about her way of thinking, she would be expelled from Starfleet for sure. Weaklings were not permitted in an organization such as Starfleet. That was exactly what she was, too. A weakling. Whatever you wanted to call her, that is what she boiled down to. A pathetic, helpless weakling. She put on a big act, to act tough, to act sexy, and all of that jazz, but, deep down...she was a little girl, who only wanted to see her parents, again. What a sad wreck she had become...

A lone tear dropped from Helena's glowing green eyes, a glittering tear sliding down the side of her pale cheek. The shining tear, a symbol of her weakness, made it's way down her cheek, eventually dropping down the fuzzy red carpeted floor, splashing and turning into a million tiny droplets. She wiped away any trace of the tear from her cheek with the back of her hand, as she set the knife back down on the glass table, before her. It was painful, simply holding the damn thing.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Helena? Why are you crying? You're in Starfleet! You're a Terran! Do Terrans cry? No! You are pathetic. You know that? You are pathetic! Why don't you just go run back to the slums where you grew up and cry like the little girl you are!" came a voice from the back of Helena's mind, a harsh voice of which she heard from time to time. One could call this voice the 'devil' on your shoulder. As if Helena was a religious woman, anyway.

The voice forced the young Canadian woman to abruptly rise to her feet and grab at her head, in frustration. The voice grew louder in her mind, shouting the same words, over and over. 'You are pathetic'...It echoed throughout her mind. It wouldn't go away. It was like a virus that plagued her mind. And, the sad thing was...the voice...it was true.

"Shut up!" Helena cried out, grabbing at her head, wanting the voice to go away, despite the truth in it's claims. She hated hearing the sound of that bastard voice. The voice continued to grow louder, reaching it's peak, until Helena, out of anger and frustration thrust her hands downwards, balled in a fist, and smashed the glass tabletop of the table, before her, sending pieces of broken glass all over the floor, scattering across the fuzzy red carpet. Tiny cuts covered her hand, from where the broken glass had touched her skin. The crimson red liquid ran down the side of her skin, eventually dropping down to join the tear, on the carpet, blending in with the carpet's red color.

However, despite her wound, she couldn't feel a thing. She felt no pain, as her hand was numb. The only thing she could think about were those simple words...'You are pathetic'. Even now, after the voice had been silenced, the words rang out in her mind, like a disease that couldn't be stopped. It was the most horrible thought.

Helena stood there for a moment, eyeing her bloodied hand, with so many thoughts running through her mind, rampant, as if wild horses, until, eventually, she decided it would be best to clean her wound. She wouldn't want to bleed to death...or would she? The young Canadian woman quickly pushed such a dark thought to the back of her mind, as she strode across the glass littered carpet, her heavy combat boots crunching the glass shards, heading towards the bathroom, to clean the wound.

In the bathroom, Helena turned on the sink, letting the hot water pour from the faucet head, splashing into the sink's marble basin. As the water poured down, with hot steam rising, due to the water's temperature, Helena looked at herself in the mirror, above the sink. She was a mess. She looked like a monster...a completely different person. Her tears had caused her mascera to run down under her eyes, making her look as if a clown. She would have to wipe the mascera marks away. She couldn't let anyone know she had been crying. Crying, for crying out loud! Such emotions were frowned upon in Starfleet.

In any case, after the water had run for a moment, Helena had thrust her hand under the faucet, letting the warm water run over her hand, wiping the blood away and cleaning the inside of the wound. After the warm water had cleaned up the wound, Helena quickly spashed some water on her face, to clear away any trace of the mascera marks. After doing so, she turned off the water and dried her hands, before she looked in a nearby drawer for something to bandage her wound up with. She found a thick piece of cloth, which she quickly wrapped around her fist, covering up the wound. She wrapped the cloth, tightly, to prevent anymore bleeding.

After she was all fixed up, Helena let a heavy sigh escape her lips, for no particular reason, before, she straightened her uniform, spun about on her heel, and marched out of the bathroom and her quarters, with an air of false pride about her, a facade to cover up her emotions, as she headed towards who knows where. Anywhere but her quarters...

+ 9 Dilithium. Excellant emotion and the time was clear.

ISS Hornet, Bridge

Kami watched the woman as she located the captain and nodded quickly to the woman. Without another word, Kami strode towards the turbolift. She entered the turbolift and turned to look at the woman who was still standing on the bridge.

"Are you coming, woman, or not?" Kami crossed her arms on her chest again and shifted her weight, waiting for the woman to respond.

The woman had yet to tell Kami her name and Kami wasn't about to ask the woman. She obviously wasn't an officer so the likelihood of Kami having to deal with her often was low. Kami only concerned herself with names of people whom she might eventually need to call on to do something... important.

-ISS Hornet, Bridge-

Ayida narrowed her eyes slightly, not to sure if she should trust the woman. It would seem she was going to find the Captain. Seeing Julian would certainly... ease things. The real reason Ayida hesitated was not the close quarters of the turbolift, but the fact that the bridge would be void of officers...again. Every single station is supposed to be manned, every access point, is supposed to have a guard on either side.

"Fine, but I warn you...no tricks, woman" Ayida spat the word back at Kami.

All tension aside, Ayida noticed how... muscular the Asian woman seemed to be. The uniform certainly fit her well. Ayida strode into the turblift and slammed a hand on the black button with the "E" on it, without having to look at what she was touching. Her eyes locked with the commander's.

-ISS Hornet, E-Deck, Corridor-

The men that stared over Julian all shared a similar look. It was one of hatred, excitment, anger... They all looked to the doors of Julians quarters when they heard a noise, Genevra must have been attempting to get out. They had obviously done something to the controls, or the door itself, if the door panel was not opening it like it should.

With them distracted, Julian lifted his legs into the air, and then used his weight, combined with a momentum and shoved them forward in a curving motion, which brought the rest of Julians body into the air.

The men noticed the movement and turned to use their weapons, but Julian had by now, grabbed his dagger, and landed on his feet. Reaching for the first man, one of the Starfleets, Julian grabbed the back of the Andorian male's head with his free hand and pulled him forward, while using his other hand, the one with the dagger, to move forward.

The knife and the Andorian's throat met halfway, with the blade stabbing in, with a sickining *Squish* sound. Julian brought the back of the mans head to his elbow, by pushing forward with the knife.. During all of this, the Andorian was gagging, trying desperatly to breath, only to begin to choke on the blood that was backing up his throat into his mouth.

Julian applied a pressure with both his arm, and the knife, pushing them both in oppiset directions. There was a sudden *SNAP!* as the Andorian's neck broke, causing the body to go limp in the Captain's arms. The knife sliped to the side, cutting the flesh, and ripping a chunk of the Andorians throat out. Bue blood covered the blade, and some of Julians hand.

The officers stood there a moment, surprised at how the Captain just gained the upper hand on of them. The shock only lasted seconds, and the men rushed forward, to make their attack.

ISS Hornet, Turbolift

Kami stood in silence as the woman boarded the turbolift with her. The woman definitely had a spark about her and Kami couldn't help but laugh when the woman called her "woman" back. She also noticed the way the woman sized her up and Kami couldn't help but think to herself that this was going to be a very interesting adventure indeed.

With a sigh, Kami ignored the fact that the woman was staring intently at her and watched, instead, an interesting shadow dancing on the turbolift wall as they continued on their way. The silence between the two was thick but Kami didn't find it in the least bit tense. Kami didn't get tense, it just wasn't her thing. With a quick movement, Kami readjusted the shoulders of her uniform and squared her rather muscular shoulders and glanced down at the woman again.

"What are you looking at, woman?" Kami asked, half-amused and half-annoyed by the constant set of eyes being locked on her.

-ISS Hornet, Turbolift-

Ayida raised an eyebrow seductivly, and stayed silent for a moment longer. Finally, she let out a slight shrug.

"Only time will tell what I'm looking at" Ayida said, and moved to the other side of the cramped turbolift, to make sure that the new woman could not sneak up behind her somehow. She wouldn't put it past the new woman, as she didn't know anything about her yet. Though, its not like Ayida really cared to know the woman.

Ayida stole another glance at the woman, this time checking out the for, indeed it was obvious she maintained some sort of work out routine. Something Ayida did, but not to add muscle per se.

-ISS Hornet, E-Deck, Corridor-

The other officers were almost in a reverse "V" formation, with two in the front, one in the rear. The MACO woman on the right swung out with a club at Julian, who ducked as he dropped the Andorian corps. Julian rushed forward the the Male Terran MACO on the right and at the angle he was coming in, shoved his knife into his side.

The man wailed with the pain of his body having a sharp, foriegn object shoved forcefully into his body. Julian grabbed the man with his free hand and pulled him aside, as he withdrew the blade from his knife. Knowing the female MACO was starting to double back, from the eariler manuver, Julian reached forward, going for the female Orion in the Starfleet uniform. However, she was ready, and started to slash with her knife to. The two meet at the same time, with Julian doing an 'uppercut' slash to her chest. Julian caught the bottom part of the zipper, causing it to be cut as he moved up, slicing across her uniform in an upper diagnal line, from bottom to top, at the right, to the left of the body. The Orion woman screamed as she slashed down ward, doing a similar angle on his lower arm, though clearly not as big.

Julian stood and began to move again when something shoved at him from behind, the female MACO, who finally came back at him. Julian moved forward to the floor once again.

ISS Hornet, Turbolift

The turbolift ground to a halt and Kami locked her body into a tense stance to absorb the slight sway the turbolift gave to its occupants. Without a moment's hesitation, Kami stepped out of the turbolift, ignoring the paranoid corner-hugging of the woman aboard the turbolift with her. Straightening her shoulders and drawing herself to her full height, Kami trucked down the hallway, each step confident and self-assured.

Kami wasn't sure if the woman was following or not, and honestly she didn't care. With little trepidation, Kami continued down the hallway, glancing left and right for any sign of the captain whom she was supposed to meet. She at least knew what the man looked like, thanks to data and files provided to her before she left, but next to that, she was basically unprepared. In her left pocket she carried a single piece of paper, dog-earred and torn, stating that she was, in fact, the new first officer.

Somewhere down the hall, Kami picked up the sound of some sort of altercation taking place. She stopped on a dime. If the woman was following closely, she would run directly into Kami but Kami stopped and listened, holding out a hand to be quiet.

"I hear..."

Kami said nothing else but began sprinting down the corridor towards the sounds...

I.S.S. Hornet, Corridor

Lieutenant Helena Ravin had exited her quarters, on C-Deck, some time ago, having decided to take a walk, to cool her nerves. Now, on E-Deck, after walking around the NX-class vessel she was to serve as Chief Communications Officer aboard, the I.S.S. Hornet, aimlessly, for what seemed an eternity, though it had only been roughly ten minutes or so.

As the young Canadian woman walked, her hands hanging, limply, at her sides, she thought over what had happened in her quarters. She kept going over it in her mind, over and over, trying to comprehend what she had done and why. She tried to comprehend the voice's words. The words were quite simple and it would be hard to misinterpret them. So, why did Helena keep thinking about them? The words were true, that was all that there was to it!

The woman let out a heavy sigh, of frustration, as she walked down the empty corridor, the sounds of her heavy combat boots filling the quiet corridor with a loud booming sound, as her boots hit the metallic floor. Every so often, she would scratch her chin, as she attempted to clear her mind. She often took walks to clear her mind. It was a habit. It did work, though. A good long walk could help you think, she had learned.

While she walked, she encountered two women, both in Starfleet uniform, one an Asian, with the rank of Commander, according to her empulets, and from what Helena had heard, the Captain's woman, a woman by the name of Ayida Lynch. Helena knew nothing about the Commander, however, she had heard rumors of this Ayida Lynch. Rumors Helena preferred not to think about, at the moment. The women did not concern her. For now, she decided she would simply wander around the vessel, aimlessly, until she was required to go on duty, whenever that would be. Helena had simply brushed past them, without a word, and continued on her way towards...anywhere.

+ 5 Dilithium. Great post.

-ISS Hornet, E-Deck, Corridor-

Ayida wondered what it was Kami was talking about. She listend closely and then picked up on the sounds. She suddenly placed everything together, an empty bridge, the new first officer not gettng a proper greeting, Julian being located on E-Deck during all of this.

Ayida leaned forward slightly and also started to sprint for the sounds, which seemed to be around the corner...which is where Julian's quarters were. Ayida moved a hand back to her holster to be ready to use her Phase Pistol if the need called for it.

The other end, where no one was coming, Lee stood there, listing to the whole thing. He could step in, risk alteration to his plans, but end up on the Captains good side, which cuold give him some breathing ground.

On the other hand, he could not interfear, and perhaps have to cancel his plans all together or maybe in fact not only keep them, but move the schedual up.

Julian was kicked on his side as he had tried to get up. To try and shift things in his favor, Julian rolled over on his back and looked up to the three attackers. The Maco male had a stab wound on his side, the orion female had a slash on her chest, a torn top, and the MACO female had...no injuries. Yet.

+ 4 Dilithium. Nice post.
