Yay! It's so funny...actually a group I belong to is thinking about doing it..which would be awesome! My initial list is missing 1776...I really like that one too.

I haven't seen as many musicals in the theatre that I would have liked too. If I lived in New York I'd be on Broadway like every week seeing a different show each time. I love musicals.
We don't get many well known musicals in the theatres in Wellington... But I have seen Evita and Footloose (school production). I was also in The Wizard Of Oz (school production).
Musical films that I've seen that I would LOVE to see onstage are:
Rent, Chicago, Cabaret, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Mary Poppins (if they do a stage version), My Fair Lady, West Side Story, Grease
Ones that I just watnt to see are:
Wicked, Avenue Q, Wicked, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Wicked, Les Mis, Wicked, The Sound of Musics, Wicked, The Lion King, Wicked.
Oh, did I mention Wicked?

I really want to see Spamalot and Avenue Q, but tickets are like gold dust over here and mum said she wasn't paying 50 a ticket.
The last show I went to see was Rocky Horror and it was awesome! It made me blush so much though! :O

I'm a big theatre nerd. Musical theatre too, of course. In fact, theatre is my life. Literally. I'm a stagemanager. Right now I am doing several musicals. A Year With Frog and Toad, Urinetown the Musical, The Grt American Trailer Park Musical, and, Five Course Love.
I don't know if I can pick a favorite... Maybe Side Show.

I've been to a couple of plays on Broadway in New York City. Usually just stick with the classics, though:
A Christmas Carol, Cats, Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast, and a few others that I can't remember right now.
Films that I enjoy that were once on broadway include: Chicago and Evita.

The stage show is much better than the film, but there are a couple of different songs and a lot of audience participation. I was 13 when I went

At the midnight shows they have actors on the stage acting it out at the same time as the film is going. It's great... what other movie would need stage actors acting out the film along with the film?
I've seen a lot.... Phantom of the Opera twice, Les Mis three times, Ragtime, Annie, The Producers, Fiddler on the Roof, Damn Yankees, Camelot, Urinetown, Pippin, West Side Story, Seven Brides, Guys and Dolls, Honk!, Secret Garden, The Fantasticks, Beauty and the Beast, Grease, City of Angels, and a few more that I can't remember.
I really want to see Avenue Q and Wicked, but haven't had the chance. I love the music to Avenue Q though.... brilliant.

Is the stage production of The Producers better than the movie? Because the movie was terrible. To the extreme. I couldn't grasp how it had won so many tonys after I left the movie.

I didnt (my *beep* apostrophe key isnt working) like the movie very much either, since its so obviously a thing meant for the stage. they adapted it to film very poorly.

Stage Shows are almost always better than movies....it's kinda like a book-movie thing....usually the book is just better.

I would LOVE to see a musical production for myself. I have seen videos of them "Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, Annie Get your gun (w/ Reba)". One of my all time faves i so want to see is Phantom of the Opera and everytime it comes near me I don't have the money to go.
