-Elerra Prime, Unknown Continent-

Ian nodded his head in response to the thank you that Sofie gave him. The situation that had just occured was highly awkward given their past history. For Ian, it was not only close to cheating to Ziona but with a woman he barely knew, in this universe or the other. As for Sofie, it was probably close to being with her husband again. Although, Ian felt he was nothing like the other Ian. However, Sofie claims the other Ian was not as bad as everyone claims. At that exact moment, Ian didn't care and wanted to focus on finding Merik.

"Let's continue." Ian said, dusting off his dress uniform.

Once again, he ruined another dress uniform. The security officer led the two, his phaser rifle at the ready. After walking for several moments, voices could be heard in the thick forest.

"Down." The security officer hissed.

Ian squatted to the ground immediatly, wondering what was going on. He peeked around a tree and noticed a....Breen. Immediatly, he thought it was some kind of Dominion plot, but he quickly remembered the Dominion war was over. A Klingon appeared besides the Breen and he suddenly realized this had nothing to do with the Dominion as the two were enemies during the war. He strained to hear what they were saying, but he couldn't from this range. However, he did hear a familiar voice. Ian stood up immediatly when he heard Caroline, the woman that had ferried he and some of his crew to Farrius Prime.

"Captain!" The security officer called out.

Ian motioned for the officer and Sofie to follow as he approached the group of stragglers.

"Just what the hell are you all doing here?" Ian asked, promptly getting a phaser aimed at his face by the Breen.

He held his hands up to show he has no weapons.

"Calm down," He urged, "I'm not here for you all, but I am wonderign what you're doing here...."

The security officer approached, his phaser rifle aimed at the Breen.

"Put down that weapon or I'll fire." He said.

Ian motioned for the officer to lower his weapon.

"Hold on," Ian said, "Lower your weapons...."

-DSG, Ops-

Jones checked his console after Juliana said she had fixed the problem. It was obviously not a 100% fixed since the source of the problem was the planet, not the station. However, she did clear a lot of it up and Jones was able to get more accurate readings.

"Nice job my friend." He told her.

Elerra Prime, Unknown Continent

Caroline and her two fellow crewmates from the Lady Luck, Pran, the mysterious Breen and Shi'Vang, the Klingon warrior, had been discussing what to do with Merik and the Starfleet engineer gone and the battle between the Federation and the Nautolians in the sky above, when Captain Xavier and his group appeared out of the brush.

Pran, the ever wary Breen, had immediately snapped to attention, bringing his disruptor rifle to the Starfleet Captain's face, his gloved finger sitting precariously on the trigger, ready to blast the Starfleet Captain away. However, before Pran could do anything, one of the Starfleet security officers aimed his own phaser rifle at the Breen. Unbeknowest to the security officer, Shi'Vang, the Klingon, had already drawn his Klingon disruptor and aimed it at the security officer's chest, putting the Starfleet away team at a disadvantage. Caroline stepped forward towards Captain Xavier, knowing the Starfleet security officer wouldn't shoot. Pran, however, would.

"Captain...Xavier, is it?" Caroline asked, after remembering seeing this man before. This man was Captain, or rather, Commander Xavier, the commander of Deep Space Guardian, the Federation space station above. Caroline had ferried the man and a small number of his crew to Farius Prime on the Lady Luck, about three months before. That seemed like centuries ago, now...Things had changed, so much, since then. Hopefully, the Commander would still remember what she had done and do her a favor, in return. "Well, as to your question...I'm...uhhh...camping." Caroline replied, at length, with an awkward smile. Hopefully the Commander wouldn't see through her weak lie.

"'Camping'!?!" Caroline thought to herself, in a flash of anger. "The man's not stupid! Camping?" Caroline repeated, mentally, feeling stupid for saying such a thing. However, camping was the first thing to pop into her mind. After all, what was she supposed to say? 'Oh, I'm just hiding from Starfleet." Definitely not.

Deep Space Guardian, OPS

"Nice job, my friend." Jones complimented Juliana, on her work with the interference. Juliana took a moment to look to her cyborg friend and smiled shyly, with her cheeks turning a bright red.

"Uhh...Thanks." Juliana muttered, her voice soft and barely audible.

"Dammit, Juliana!" came a voice within her mind. "Can't you ever act as if you were half-way normal?" the voice yelled at her, regarding her awkward personality. Juliana simply pushed the voice out of her mind, shrugged, and, returned back to her work. After all, her priority was the safety of the away team, at the moment, anyways.

-USS Monarch, Turbolift-

Jon stood in the turbolift, awaiting for it to arrive at the right deck for the shuttlebay access. He knew it was a risky move, many people in the fleet would scold him for his actions, though he had no doubt while they would do that officially, in their minds, he was justified. The doors opened and Archer looked out to see an officer enter, he was wearing a yellow division collar. The officer nodded to Archer and he to called for the deck of the shuttlebay. Jon looked to him wondering if perhaps he was an engineer and was going to do something to a shuttle, or if it was just a coincidence.

Jon noticed the officer standing at attention, and turned to face him. The man was a young one, couldnt be past 26 if that old. Probably closer to early 20's. He had a Lieutenant Junior Grade rank, though that didn't tell Archer much, as some have been known to graduate with that rank from Starfleet academy.

"Sir, I'd like to go on the mission, I am an accomplished pilot."

Archer studied the man for a moment, the turbolift came to a stop as Archer thought over an answer. This was certainly a random thing to do. If he was asking to go, he was not already ordered to go.

"Indeed? Tell me, Lieutenant..."

The man cleared his throat and responsed with a name.

"Pillar, the name is Pillar."

Archer gave a curt nod, and spoke again.

"Lieutenant Pillar, why should I grant you permission? It would seem you were not already ordered to go on this mission."

-Terra Nova, Starfleet R&D-

T'Sa walked down the long dark corridor she was lead though earlier, this time to Ross's office. She had gone alone, as Conrad had elected to get some food, having worked so long with out a break. It was certainly a logical action, humans could only go for so long with out rest, it was a weakness almost. While Vulcans were similar, if they had to they could go several days with out rest, food, or water. The benifits of developing and evolving in a desert atmosphere. T'Sa walked with her PADDs in hand, and her hands behind her back semi clasped together. She was glad to get some 'fresh air' and get out of that room, the barrage of emotional outburst were going to take a toll if she didnt get away for a few moments. T'Sa arrived to a door that led to Ross's office. She entered her command code to the key pad as before and the doors opened. She regereted not being able to announce her pressence properly. Although, its not like he'd be doing some matter she couldnt see, not to this project anyways, let alone she is on it, she had a level 11 clearence code. T'Sa softly cleared her throat and spoke to the Admiral.

"Admiral Ross, I have an update for you."

-Elerra Prime, Unknown Continent-

Merik had continued to run, not stopping for a second. By this point, his legs felt like jello and his chest was burning, begging for air. He had been running through a very ancient looking forest the entire time. The trees were massive and they looked withered and old, as if they had wrinkles revealing their age. He kept running, grateful that none of the local wildlife was around to bother him. His ears perked up when he heard the sound of water. Once more, Merik pushed on and continued to run until he cleared the forest. What he saw made him stop in his tracks.

He saw even bigger trees, but they were filled with strange looking huts. Boats were floating aimlessly at the edge of ocean. It looked like the species just got up and left everything behind. The technology looked primitive, but it wasn't. It was like the past meets the future. Merik wondered who it belonged to and didn't have to be an Elerran expert to know that the technology was not Elerran. If he cared, he would wonder who it was and try to figure it out. The roar of Nautolian shuttle engines could be heard as they swooped past him. Merik yelled for them and tried to wave them down, but they flew past him. He looked back at the abandoned village and decided to climb to the top. They would see him from there. Merik ran once more....

-Shuttle, Cockpit-

Emma piloted the type-9 shuttle as it raced towards the planet. Two fighters had been ordered to guard them as they made their way towards the planet surface. She watched the explosions erupt around her as torpedoes from the fleet picked off various fighters. This battle would soon be over if she could just reactivate those anti-ship turrets. The shuttle shook because of a direct hit by a fighter.

"Damnit." She said.

One of the officers inside of the shuttle rushed to put out a fire that erupted from a damaged console. Emma sent a message to the fighters, calling for cover. Immediatly, the fighters rushed to attack the Nautolian vessels.

"We're clear for a run to the planet." Another officer told Emma.

She smiled, "Here goes nothing..."

She put everything into the engines and continued forward...

-USS Bailey, Bridge-

The battle against the Nautolian ship had not gone as well as it could. The atmosphere slowed down the Federation ships, but certainly not the the Nautolian fighters. The Nautolian capitol ship did not move, but simply hovered and randomly fired every so often.

"Shields are down to 10%." The tactical officer reported.

Captain Soto shut her eyes in annoyance. The Cerberus had been split apart with the MVAM and was laying waste to the Nautolian ship. So far, it had been doing well and the Nautolian ship was erupting in explosions, but not enough to destroy it. One part of the Prometheus class ship was highly damaged from what Soto could see.

"Continue to lay cover fire." She ordered.

Several fighters from DSG had been dispatched and sent down to help, but they were fighting agaisnt the fighters, not the capitol ship. It was still up to them....

-DSG, Ops-

Jones continued to monitor the situation on the planet, but still unable to do so with 100% efficiency. He had managed to locate Blake and his team.

"I've got them." He said.

He tried sending them a message, but it did not go through. Jones worked to locate the captain...

-Elerra Prime, Unknown Continent-

Ian arched an eyebrow at Caroline's response.

"Camping eh?" He asked.

They had a lot of weapons for a simple "camping" trip. He wondered if maybe they were hunting, but he doubt that as that was illegal on Federation planets.

"Fine," He said, "Whatever. I need to go. I have to stop someone that could hurt the war effort...badly. So, I'll forget I ran into you and you let us go on...ok?"

He tried looking out the corner of his eyes, wondering where Sofie was...

-DS9, Captain's Office-

Oyet stopped laughing abruptly and collapsed on to his seat. He had no idea what was going on in the Gamma quadrant and didn't believe it involved the Cardassian insurgency. They had to get there first to cause problems. No Cardassian ships had ever crossed over as far as he could remember. Not since he took over at least. He wondered...

-Terra Nova, Starfleet R&D-

Admiral Ross looked up in surprise, pleased to see T'Sa. A smile crossed his face.

"Captain," He said, "Have a seat, please. How is everything going?"

Elerra Prime, Unknown Continent

"Camping, eh? Fine. Whatever. I need to go. I have to stop someone that could hurt the war effort...badly. So, I'll forget I ran into you and you let us go on...ok?" Commander Xavier had said, looking around the abandoned campsite through the corner of his eye, as if he was looking for someone.

"Yeah. Fine." Caroline replied, hastily, with a curt nod. She waved her hand, telling Pran and Shi'Vang to lower their weapons. The Klingon lowered his weapon, instantly, obeying the order of his Captain, however, Pran hesitated for a moment, longing for the opportunity to shoot something.

"I am getting the hell off of this crazy planet and staying the hell away from this system for as long as I live..." the El-Aurian Captain thought, to herself, as she and her crew stepped to the side, allowing Commander Xavier and his crew to pass. Frankly, Caroline didn't care who saw her, anymore. She only wanted to get off of Elerra Prime, now, with the Nautolians and whatnot.

-Elerra Prime, Unknown Continent-

Sofie looms in the background as Ian interacts with the woman. When he mentions needing to move on, she takes a few tenative steps toward him, though still hanginng back. She finds Caroline to be intimidating. Not to mention the fact that she must look quite a sight being there in her now soiled gown.

-Terra Nova, Starfleet R&D-

T'Sa gave a curt nod to Ross and sat down in a chair across from the Admiral. Setting the PADDs down on the table, T'Sa made sure to look the human admiral in the eyes to ensure she had his attention, and she, his.

"Everything appears to be going well, Admiral Ross. We have managed to find a probably solution to the problems inflicted on the platform. I have made some adjustments to the energy generator in the EPS System."

T'Sa pushed one of the PADDs forward to Admiral Ross. T'Sa took a slight breath and continued.

"We have to finish the EPS Power Taps next, in order to complete the adjustments. It should not be long before we can reinstall the entire system though."

T'Sa made sure to let Ross absorb the information, then slid the other PADD towards her.

"Lieutenant Conrad has been working on the acuatcy problem. He has worked for hours at this part, and has managed to find a solution. I belive the weapon should now hit their intended targets."

T'Sa paused for a moment, to be sure he understood everything she was saying.

-USS Monarch, Corridor-

Archer and Pillar had stepped out into the corridor, and were moving towards the shuttlebay. People were running back and forth, getting shuttles ready, with some others reporting to shuttles. Pillar looked to Archer.

"I want to fight the Nautolians. My sister and Brother were running a shop on the station when Fito attacked a year ago."

Archer felt sad for the man, he remembered it well, so much death that day. He sighed, the thirst for revenge was the mans driving force, it was for a lot of people. He knew by alrights, he should deny Pillar, although it could cause problems not to mention they needed all the help they could get. Archer finally nodded,

"Lieutenant, report to the Pike"

The young officer nodded and moved to the shuttlebay. Archer sighed and followed, entering the bay, and looking for the scoutships.

+ 6 Dilithium. Once more, the detail is nice.

"Make it quick." She spoke quickly, turning away from tactical to speak with the officer.

-Elerra Prime, Unknown Continent-

Ian bowed his head to Caroline, grateful she was not putting up any fight and allowing them to pass.

"Thanks." He muttered.

A part of him, a small part, wondered what she was really doing on the planet. He hoped it wasn't something that threatened the well being of the others. Not that it was something that he could dwell on at the moment. Ian began to run past them, motioning for Sofie and the security officer to follow. Immediatly, he stopped, realizing that this was going no where. He had no clue where to find Merik and had no real lead. He was just...running. Was he doing this because he couldn't stand doing nothing while others hunted Merik? Probably. Ian turned to ask Sofie if she had any ideas on Merik and his location, but a load roar stopped him. He looked into the myriad of trees, wondering what could be so loud that he heard it over the loud sound of the Nautolian engines.

"What was that?" The security officer asked.

Ian shook his head, not having an answer for the man. He regretted not bringing a phaser rifle and realized how stupid it was that he hadn't done so. The security officer took a step forward when suddenly a large animal leapt from the trees and slashed his entire face off with one swipe from it's sharp claws. It landed gracefully on the ground and looked at the group.

Ian couldn't stop looking at the row of sharp teeth from it's mouth. He stepped back, bumping into Caroline. At that moment, he thought he could make an exception on hunting animals...

-Terra Nova, Starfleet R&D-

Ross looked at the barrage of information with glee, pleased to finally hear good news. Sub-commander Torrol stepped from the corner of the room, seemingly always hiding.

"Impressive," He said, "Although, highly unexpected."

The admiral frowned at the Romulan's subtle insult.

"Enough." He said.

The Romulan held his hands up and smirked. He said nothing more and took a perverse pleasure in insulting Starfleet.

-Elerra Prime, Unknown Continent-

Merik had spent some time climbing up the trees using wooden ladders and old rope. After reaching the middle area, around 50 feet from the ground, he puked off the side of the railing, his body screaming for him to stop and rest. Merik collapsed and gasped for air, letting his sore muscles rest for a moment. He sat there for a few minutes and quickly sat up, realizing he had spent far too much time there. Merik continued running climbing until he reached what looked like a city.

Merik saw empty bins all over the place and remarked at how incredible this was. The city looked...new almost. As if someone had recently built it, but no one seemed to live there. It was definitly abandoned, but it looked like they had recently left too. Nothing made sense to Merik in this universe. He saw a primitive lift system and cursed at himself for not using that since the beginning. Merik threw himself inside and tried to activate it to bring him to the top. Dozens of Nautolian shuttles circeled over head. Once more...he was close to getting out of there...

-Elerra Prime, Mythani-

The shuttle from the Monarch had landed and the away team rushed out, heading towards the Federation installation that controlled the technology on the colony. Commander Creed ran as fast as she could, running past the colonists who were staring her in surprise. They had no clue what was going on in the other continent. Emma continued to run as fast as her legs could take her. Every second was another second the other ships were being attacked. Every second brought Merik closer to the Nautolian ship. She was fast, a star member of the track team back at the academy, and it showed. The away team was trying to catch up to her as she entered the building.

-Elerra Prime, Federation Installation-

Emma ran inside, shoving past various officers and trying to find the main control room.

"Excuse me, ma'am." One officer called out.

"No time!" She yelled back at him.

She slid to a stop in front of the doors to the control room. Everyone inside looked at the strange woman as she entered.

"Would it kill you all to answer hails!?" She yelled.

One officer stepped forward, "The Nautolian vessel is disrupting our communications."

Emma breathed hard, "Fine, why are the anti-ship cannons not online?"

Another officer, a tactical one, motioned towards his console.

"They were powered down for repairs," He said, "We've been trying to get them up, but our systems have trouble rebooting. One of the animals on the planet damaged the maincore."

Another officer, an engineer, looked at her, wondering who she was.

"However," She said, "We're trying to activate them manually. It won't be as accurate, but-"

Emma turned and took off, know what she had to do that that moment...

-DSG, Ops-

Bengali was taken aback by the woman's forwardness. Then again, judging by how busy it was in Ops, she probably didn't want any interruptions.

"I'm sorry ma'am," He said, "But lieutenant Ditex has gone missing. The computer says he's not even aboard anymore. I'm worried about him."

-Elerra Prime, Anti-Ship Cannons-

After more heavy running, Emma made it towards one of the actual cannons themselves. She entered inside of it and made her way towards the controls inside. An officer was already inside, preparing to manually fire from inside.

"Who are you?" He asked.

Emma waved her hands dismissively.

"No time," She said, "Fire at the Nautolian ships. Our people are getting killed over there!"

The man nodded, "I know, I know. I'm going, I'm going."

He continued his work, while Emma rushed to assist.

+6 Dilithium, Good post, the effort and time is clear.

A ripple of concern brushed over Ziona's features, darkening her eyes and causing some ugly wrinkles across her forehead.

"When was the last time you saw him?" Ziona asked, heading over to a nearby console, punching in a few pieces of information and waiting as the computer began scanning.

With all the chaos going on, Ziona wasn't surprised that Ditex might have just gotten lost in the shuffle. Maybe the computer was wrong.

Sofie gasps at the sight of the animal. She is horrified to see it wipe the face off the officer who had been with them, but has the sense not to scream. She'd hate to attract attention to herself and be the next victim of the beast. She takes a few slow backward steps.

-Terra Nova, Starfleet R&D-

T'Sa narrowed her eyes into slits and glared over to the Subcommander. While she was managing to keep her emotions in check, the Romulan was a annoying little bastard, and was getting on her nerves.

"Perhaps it is unexpected. I am quite surprised that the Romulan scientist you spoke so highly of, were not able to figure this solution out. Perhaps it is due to them putting down the Starfleet officers at every whim they could find, rather then concentrait on the situation at hand."

T'Sa continued to stare at the Romulan, her cheeks flushing slightly and then relaxed and looked back to the Admiral. Indeed, she may have just acted foolish, however the Romulan was so sure of himself, it was time to show him a thing or two.

-USS Monarch, Shuttlebay-

Archer looked around the bay, the doors were already open, and a forcefield contained the atmosphere. This allowed for emergancy departures as the shuttles were ready. He noticed a scout in front, near the exit, and walked over to it. Indeed, it was the one he asked for. Archer saw an engineer come out who nodded to him.

"It's ready, sir."

Archer nodded and looked the craft over. It looked like one of the refits, which had pulse phasers instead of beam emmitters. That was always a good thing, a stronger punch. However, Archer wouldnt be surprise if there was an array, or an emmitter somehwere on the craft. It also had some torpedos, again a good thing, despite the small size, a torpedo, was a torpedo. Archer bordeded the small ship and sealed the hatch. Jon moved towards the single pilots seat and sat down. He could see all around him in the open window space, which would let him work well. The area of the pilots cockpit was hardened, and had some extra armor due to this...seemingly exposeure. Archer cleared his departure and powered up the engines and lifted off. His rear sensor display showed that several others were imeditly following him. He must have been placed in a leader position.

Archer sighed as he checked the ships power status and went into red aleart, raising the shields and charging the phasers.

"Here goes nothing..."

Archer set a course for the planet and moved forward at full impulse.

Elerra Prime, Unknown Continent

Commander Xavier and his team had only moved two feet when the group was stopped by the dangerous-looking Elerran creature. Commander Xavier had recoiled in suprise by the appearance of the cat-like animal. When Caroline turned around to see the Commander back, she was irritated, at first, however, when she noticed the dangerous-looking animal behind him, she forgot all about her previous feeling and fear filled up within her.

The tiger-like animal bared a set of sharp razor-like teeth, with saliva dripping from the yellow-stained fangs. A long dull grey tounge spouted from the creature's mouth and squirmed all around, in a snake-like manner. The creature had four eyes and dangerous looking spines on its long feline back. The creature was white with black stripes. Long dangerous looking claws stretched from its huge paws. All in all, the creature was definitely a menacing sight.

Caroline and her crew had managed to avoid the dangerous variety of the wildlife on Elerra Prime, so far. This creature was a new sight and frankly unpleasant sight to Caroline. She didn't want to die before she returned to the Lady Luck. Why was all of this happening to her now, of all times? She had no time to ponder this question. She had bigger problems, at the moment, as in the gigantic tiger-like beast before her, with jaws the side of a tire, ready to pounce and rip her to shreds, piece by piece.

Before she could act, Shi'Vang, her Klingon tactical officer, also a former member of the Klingon military and an avid hunter, lunged forward, tackling the tiger with all of his weight.

"Rrraaaaghhhhhh!!!!" Shi'Vang roared, as the massive Klingon wrestled with the powerful feline on the ground. Shi'Vang had his large burly hands wrapped around the creature's thick furry throat, while the feline's mouth was only inches from his own, with thick sticky drops of sweat dropping onto the Klingon's brown face. The two wrestled for what seemed like an eternity, although, it only lasted several minutes. The two alternated from having the advantage. The Klingon was certainly putting up a valiant fight against the creature. However, the tiger-like creature managed to bat Shi'Vang away, sending the Klingon flying into a tree, but, not before the Klingon could pull off a strike with his mek'leth, cutting the feline across the side, green blood oozing from the open wound. Shi'Vang had also been wounded, with a gash on his side, from when the creature had batted him with its massive claw. Shi'Vang had also broken several ribs, when the Klingon had been thrown into the tree. However, to the Klingon warrior, it only felt as if a paper cut. In any case, Shi'Vang was temporarily immobilized.

The feline turned its attention to the rest of the group, after desposing of Shi'Vang, for the time being. Pran, the mysterious Breen armory officer, was prepared, with his disruptor rifle at the ready. The tiger-like creature was a good ten feet from his position, giving Pran enough time to make the shot needed to take down the beast. The giant feline prepared to pounce on Pran, arching its back, its spines pointing up at the sky, snarling, in a menacing fashion, before it lunged forward, leaping through the air, towards Pran. The Breen managed to dodge the feline's attack, barely, however, the feline managed to swat him with its long rat-like tail. However, the Breen was unphased. Pran turned about, taking the opportunity to send a preemptive blast from his disruptor rifle at the feline's back. The disruptor blast hit the feline just as it was turning around, blasting the creature's head, sending chunks of blood and animal meat all over the glade. The beheaded creature's body limply fell to the muddy ground, blood pouring out of its neck stump as if a fountain.

Caroline had watched the entire exchange from the sidelines, watching her brave crewmates take on the feline, single-handedly. The two had to be mad to take on that creature, alone. However, that may be the very reason that the two served for her, of all people. At least Pran had gotten the job done. The Breen would receive a bonus in his next paycheck...or not. Latinum was precious, as of late. In any case, Pran had her thanks and that would be more than enough for the mysterious Breen.

"Well...That's that." Caroline remarked, as she wiped some of the feline's green blood from her face, with the back of her sleeve. "Good job, Pran." the El-Aurian woman thanked her Breen armory officer, who nodded in reply, before she turned to face Commander Xavier and his group. "You can be on your way, now, Commander." Caroline stated, with a gracious smile. She wanted Starfleet out of her hair, for now. She had enough of Starfleet, Elerra Prime, the Elerran System, the Nautolian War, everything...

"OK then," Sofie finally says lightheartidly. "Glad... to have that out of the way..." She glances at Ian. "Shall we?"

-Elerra Prime, Unknown Continent-

Kiris had lost the trail again but thanks to instinct he knew he was going the right way. He slowed to a jog and therefore was able to sustain his pace for longer then if it was a full bore run. Kiris paused for a moment. He took a deep breath. The presence that had overtaken him was beginning to feel strain. He guessed it was the Romulan half of him that allowed him to keep going like this. If he was human hed probably never have taken off after Merik. Kiris inhaled deeply. He walked pass some spires shrouded in fog and saw a sight to behold.

Whomever built it must have been a master architect or engineer. Something like this just couldnt be thrown together. Part of Kiris wished hed brought a imaging device to take some pictures. It was mysterious and beautiful all at the same time. Kiris approached the rudimentary structures. Little did he know Merik had already reached the top.

-DSG, Ops-

Bengali shut his eyes, trying to think of the last moment he spoke with Kiris.

"We were in Guardian city," He said, "A few hours ago. I don't know where he went after, we parted ways..."

He hoped that the Nautolians had not done something to him.

-Elerra Prime, Unknown Continent-

Ian had watched the entire battle in silence, unable to really help. He was shocked at the sight of the Klingon taking on the large animal with only his bare hands. He truly had the heart of Kahless within him. The Breen however did not have as much honor and simply shot the animal. Not that Ian was complaining about it. Caroline had pretty much "invited" the commander to leave and he was more then happy to oblige her. Sofie had seemed calm and collected throughout the whole thing.

"Agreed." He said.

He approached the dead body of the officer and sighed, looking at the meat that used to be covered by flesh. That was two officers that Blake had lost. Would it really be intelligent for Ian and Sofie to continue, alone on Elerra Prime? Besides the myriad of animals and plant life, Nautolians were everywhere. He picked up the phaser rifle and stood up, looking around in paranoia. Ian turned back to Sofie.

"Look," He told her, "I'm sorry for dragging you down here. Twice, you nearly got killed. If you want, you're free to go back to the station. If we can find a way to contact them..."

-Elerra Prime, Ancient City-

After climbing and using various lifts, Merik had made it to the top. A large hut that was used for unknown reasons sat there. He used the little strength he had left and climbed on top of it.

Merik collapsed to his knees, unable to continue anymore. He tried waving towards the distant shuttles, but knew they probably didn't see him. He shut his eyes, resting for a few seconds...

-Terra Nova, Starfleet R&D-

The Romulan was about to reply in an equally nasty comment, but Ross interrupted, defusing the tense situation.

"Well done captain," He told her, "Once simulations are run and if it looks good, we'll begin immediate construction. You're to be commended."

Torrel rolled his eyes and got up from his seat, walking out of the room in frustration. Ross sighed and leaned forward.

"You'll have to forgive him captain," He explained, "He's not normally so...agressive. Granted, he has no love for the Federation, but he's angry and impatient because his family was left behind on Romulus."

-USS Bailey, Bridge-

Captain Soto watched as the Cerberus completed reattaching each ship section. No doubt a part of the ship was now highly damaged.

"Shields are off-line." The tactical officer announced.

Soto groaned, "Continue firing everything we have. Once we're close to a hull breach, we'll flee."

She didn't like having to give an order like that, but what option did she honestly have?

Sofie looks to the lost officer and beast, back to Ian, and at the deceased again. She raises her eyebrows, and opens her her mouth the speak, but instead gives a tiny shrug as her face goes back to neutral. "I've seen worse," she states simply. "What shall we do with your man?"

((That poor Romulan, Andy. We keep messing up his name. It's Torol))

-Terra Nova, Starfleet R&D-

T'Sa sat there as Ross had looked the PADDs over, and paid the team a compliment. She had slghtly blushed, barely noticible, but she felt her face heat up when he mentioned a commendation. That would mean attention, and recognition for her part. She would make it clear to anyone that approched her that it was a team effort. T'Sa watched the Romulan Subcommander Torol get up and leave. T'Sa turned back to Ross when he leaned forward to her, for a moment starteling her, as she wasn't sure what he was doing. She relaxed when he started speaking about Torol. She felt her inside go numb at the mention of the man's family. T'Sa looked down in sadness and sighed softly.

"That's horrible, Admiral."

T'Sa felt sad for the man and his family. Who knows if they were even alive, this was all due to the corruption that allowed the planet to be invaded. T'Sa wondered what Ross's stance on that was. She dare not bring it up, incase he was for the whole situation, although, given his record and reptuation from the Dominion War, she highly doubted it. T'Sa shifted her weight and waited for Ross to speak. She wondered if there waas anything that could be done for Torol, and Romulus.

-USS Blalock (Monarch Scoutship), Cockpit-

Archer sat at the controls and stared out into space. The sight was beautiful from his viewpoint. Well, at least the view the windows gave, with the ships, the planet and the surrounding space. However, he could see the battle below in the planets atmosphere. Jon didn't need sensors to tell him that ships were exploding, weapon fire being exchanged, it was flashing in his forward viewport. He sighed mentally as he tapped at the controls, and placed some more power to his forward shield grid. The engines hummed as Archer began to enter the atmosphere. He took a quick glance around and noticed to his left and right, there were several other shuttles with him. They were in a flanking position, and according to his sensor display, fully crewed and armed.

Ziona pursed her lips and turned around to look at Bengali. She watched him in silence for a few moments before speaking again.

"Computer, locate Kiris Ditex."

"Lt. Ditex is not aboard the station."

A frown crossed Ziona's lips. He wasn't on the station. Could he have gotten stuck in the shuffle and gotten put down on Elerra Prime. Ziona turned to look at Bengali.

"Someone scan Elerra Prime and see if Ditex is down there." Ziona finally spoke to an officer nearby.

-IRW Ferex, Ready Room-

TRell was filing some reports when his door chimed.
Enter. The door slid open. Trip lowered his head and walked through. TRell sat the PADD hed been looking at down.
Something on your mind? Trip nodded.
I am.how do you people say around here? Homesick? TRell knew the feeling.
We all are. Trip pulled his mask off and flexed his jaw.
But your home isnt that far away. Mine is half a quadrant away. TRell nodded.
How long does your species live? Trip didnt understand the nature of the question.
The oldest Yautja on record was a little over 200 years when he died but rarely do any of us reach that age. TRell nodded.
Well if you want I can give you a ship. With any luck youd reach Yautja space in 70 or 80 years.

Trip shook his head.
I dont want to go home. I would dishonor my father if I disobeyed his orders. TRell looked up.
Im not sure what else I could do. Trip pulled a PADD out of his armor and pushed it to TRell.
Your people have a device called a Memory Scanner. According to my research it can be used to record thoughts and memories and be stored for reading at a later time. I want you to use this device one me. Then I can use the memories it records to create a suitable simulation in on your friends ship. TRell picked up the PADD and looked at it.
This device has the possibility of causing brain damage and then it may not even be compatible with your physiology.

-Elerra Prime, Ancient City-

Kiris had begun climbing and stopped on the second level. He had no idea Merik was above him. Kiris was feeling fatigue. After this was over Kiris was looking forward to a long sleep and a hot bath in real water. He couldnt remember the last time hed taken a bath in actual water. The sonic shower was more precise but something about water was a little morenatural.

-Ditex Homestead, Earth, 2359-

Kiris entered his room and slammed the door so hard that the things on the adjacent walls fell to the floor. He settled on the edge of his bed and was still for just a moment. After that he got up and picked up a model starship he and NTran had built together a few years back. After examining it for a moment he threw it into the wall. The brittle nacelles broke off and the saucer shattered. NTran and Laura entered his room just a moment later.
Pack a bag. NTran had told him. Kiris wasnt in any mood to hear what his father had to say. Although at the moment he didnt have a choice.
What for? Laura stepped forward.
Were taking you somewhere to get some counseling. NTran and Laura had talked about getting Kiris some counseling years before but let the idea go because he seemed to have improved so much.
Why do I have to pack a bag? We can just transport to the counselor. NTran shook his head.
Not this time son. Were taking you Vulcan. Theyll be able to better analyze you there.

-Salara, Present Day-

So he just went along with it? NTran nodded.
He didnt have a choice. We knew something was wrong that hed just fly off the handle like that. I had taken some neural scans and forwarded them to Starfleet but they said they couldnt find anything wrong. Laura had a Vulcan friend that had agreed to mind-meld with Kiris to find out if there was something wrong. You can get a deeper impression from a meld than from a scan. Cory was amazed at how little he actually knew about Kiris. In fact he doubted many people knew this stuff.
Why doesnt Kiris ever talk about all this stuff? NTran was now multitasking. He was telling Cory things and working on the message.
It wouldnt be his way to talk about it. He doesnt want people to think less of him because of his past. He keeps a cool and calm exterior but on the inside is turmoil. Im honestly surprised hes lasted this long. I didnt think hed last a week in Starfleet let alone 20 years. Cory had at least a partial idea of why Kiris avoided his father whenever he could.
Do you think its possible that Kiris avoids you because he feels he has something to prove to you? NTran was hit by the question.
I suppose its entirely possible but theres no way to know Cory clasped his hands together.
Yes, he said, There is.

DSG,Promenade

Kathryn woke up at the same table that she has been sitting at during the party. She didn't even remember falling asleep. She sat there remembering the night. Everyone had been talking with someone, everyone besdies her. It was as if she didn't even exsist on this ship, just like how she felt at home. The only way she got noticed at home was by getting into trouble, but that wouldn't be tolerated in Starfleet. She stood up and suddenly felt dizzy, realizing how much she had drank. After regaining some balance, she headed back to her quarters. On her way back, she felt dizzy again and leaned against a wall, only to fall back to sleep.

-Elerra Prime, Unknown Continent-

Ian stared at Sofie in surprise at how uncaring she was over the dead officer. He frowned, remembering that she was from a universe that reflected only death and horror. Well, at least in her case it did since she was a Terran. Ian wanted to at least bury the poor officer, but once more, there was no time. Merik was all that mattered. Maybe it made him as heartless as her, but he wasn't seeking moral retribution. He cared about the Federation.

"Fine," Ian said in a stand offish way, "Let's go."

He pressed the dead officers phaser rifle to his chest and marched forward...

-Terra Nova, Starfleet R&D-

Ross nodded, reflecting sadly on the situation that had erupted on Romulus.

"Indeed." He replied simply.

He began to stack the PADDs on his desk neatly.

"All right," He told her, "Good work captain. You should get rest. We'll run tests on the holodeck and computer simulations. Depending on how the tests pan out, we'll start production of the weapon."

Ross stood up from his desk and held his hand out.

"I just want to say, thank you for everything captain." He said.

-Elerra Prime, Unknown City-

After resting for a moment, Merik fought to get the attention of the Nautolian shuttles. Waving his arms and screaming was doing nothing. He had no flares, but he did have a phaser rifle. Merik pointed it into the air, making sure not to aim at the vessels that were to rescue him. His finger pushed down on the trigger, but nothing happened. Merik looked at the phaser rifle and realized that the power cell was missing. He had no clue how that had happened, especially since it's locked in. Annoyed, Merik tossed the phaser rifle to the floor and continue screaming for attention...

-Elerra Prime, Unknown City-

Kiris noticed the phaser rifle Merik had discarded fall down the side of the tree house. Then Kiris heard Merik yelling in the direction of the Nautolian shuttles. Kiris took a deep breath and climbed up to the top. He stood behind Merik. He could take him out right now and hed never see it coming. The brief respite had allowed Kiris to regain control and he knew he was in charge of himself again. Kiris made sure the Quantum Burst was ready in case he needed it.
Lose this? Kiris asked holding up the phaser rifle power cell.

-Salara, NTrans Quarters-

Laura, Ensign Taylor and I are going to find Kiris. Ill be back in awhile. Lauras reply echoed from the back room.
Take your time.

-Terra Nova, Starfleet R&D-

T'Sa sat a moment as Ross reflected on Romulus, and the status of the weapon. She looked up to Ross when he mentioned about how she should get rest. She wanted to watch the simulations and help make adjustments as needed, not to mention where is it she could go to get rest? T'Sa stood and held out her hand towards Ross's when he held his out. She carefully shook it and nodded.

"It was my honor to be able to contribute to this project."

T'Sa wondered if this could truely shift the balance of power in the war. It had been a long one already, with the casualty numbers higher then T'Sa ever cared to count. T'Sa hated the war, she hated every war that she was ever in. There were more of those then she wanted to count to.

-Monarch Scout, Cockpit-

Archer flew into the battle and targeted the nearest Nautolian fighter, and fired the scouts pulse phaser upgrades towards it. It threw to the site frm the force of the phasers slamming into the hull, coliding with another fighter, causing both to explode.

-Elerra Prime, Unknown City-

Merik froze at the sound of Kiris' voice. He slowly turned around, prepared to jump out of the way if he had, had a weapon. His eyes scanned the object in Kiris' hand and noticed the power cell missing from the discarded phaser rifle. He still wondered how it randomly just dropped out of the phaser rifle, but now was not the time for that.

"You...again." He said simply.

He wondered why Kiris had risked so much to come after him. It seemed personal, beyond the issue of the Nautolian war. Merik folded his arms and stared defiantly at his fellow halfling.

"What do you want?" He asked visibly annoyed.

-DS9, Captain's Office-

Oyet was still contemplating what was going on in the Gamma quadrant. His heart beat hard in his chest as he wondered if Fito was going to contact him. The hour was near, he could feel it. His eyes darted towards Melina.

"I tire of you," He said suddenly, "You're a liability I can no longer afford."

He wanted to regain control, if not for himself, then for his people.

"I'm executing you within the hour." He threatened.

-DSG, Ops-

Jones nodded to Ziona, "Aye ma'am."

He tried scanning the planet for Kiris, but got nothing.

"You got anything on your sensors lieutenant?" He asked Juliana.

+ 2 good job with Merik!
