I'm a band geek. Been in it for 5 or so years. I quit though because of school and all. I played snare drum for three years then moved into pit. (Percussion stuff)
Marching band is awesome! Go band nerds!
Not to mention we won state for the second time this year. In a row! Go Mercer, lol

I think the creator of the topic was referring to being a member of their respective schools' bands, not bands you enjoy listening to,

I'm more choir than band, although all year I helped out the flags, so if they decide to do letterman patches this year, I'll get one.

Yes... it makes me miss my vibraphone. And my marimba and djembes. Not the xylophone though. We were never good friends.

I'm just posting to tell all you band "geeks" out there to please keep four of my band families in your thoughts and prayers. Four band students were in a car accident yesterday. One of the girls, Caitlin, died last night. Chelsea is in the hospital in a controlled coma to stop her brain from swelling. Mike and Andrea are ok.
Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Well, I'm not technically a "band geek" as I'm not in one, but I shall keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

I always faked it, when i was in band. I remember for some reason we didnt have a choice wheither or not we could be in band back in grade school. And I didnt know how to (still dont) read notes. I always faked it and no one noticed. Just like in math...but everyone noticed that.
