Oh, did you hear they will bring back the classic assult riffle from the first game. I also pre ordered the game yesterday.  I'll be waiting in line at midnight at EB when it comes out.

I agree, Halo and Halo 2 are rubbish.
I don't understand how people even like the game. The Multiplayer isn't THAT good and well.. i won't start about the single player because that's even worser. I suggest everyone who wants too buy a good shooter for X-box not too buy Halo, Halo 2 or Halo 3*when it comes out*

Tsk, Tsk. Such negativity I personally can't wait. I just got me a Halo 2 skin for my XBox. It's so cool. It's of Master Chief on top cortana on the left pannel and the Arbiter on the right pannel.

I agree, Halo and Halo 2 are rubbish.

Here here. Halo 2 is such a joke. They beefed up the CGI and we're supposed to forgive their shameless tool of forcing people to buy more of their games to continue the story. Multiplayer is definitly over glorified. Single player is only fun when you play co-op with a friend. I agree that Halo is not the be all and end all of shooter games. I suggest one of the army games.

Boy cry me a river with your superfical (SP) complaints about it. Bottom Line. Halo and Halo 2 have been voted best games ever by many, many gamming magazines. Don't like it tough. There is always those Army games as Founder said. Me I don't like the same games about World War 2.

Superficial? It's superficial to not want to be screwed by a game company. Riiiight....
No one cares if Halo/Halo 2 was voted the best game. Yes, it's popular, but many people like mindless games with no story about shooting alien things. Just because the majority do, doesn't mean we have to.
Don't like it, tough? What are you babbling about? Some of us are expressing our disdain about Halo in a topic titled "Anyone else hate Halo 2?" Shocking isn't it? This isn't a topic made to glorify Halo. It's a topic about how we dislike it.

Hey, come on guys. It's just a game. It's not something to start a fight over. I'll admit my liking for Halo/Halo 2 has dwindled over the past few months. I think I may have over played it. It doesn't have that spark, that finesse that I once looked at it with.
I wouldn't go so far as to say I hate it but it's really the only console game in my inventory that I can stay interested in past the first level.
Hopefully number 3 will be better.

I think the Halo storyline is pretty interesting but it is VERY annoying when some of the people you know are obsessed with leveling up. However, I don't think it's quite as annoying anymore as people talking about WoW is. That's ALL I hear about now...WoW.

Halo is the best console game out there. And it still sucks. It's nothing new, the single player is linear, and boring, and the multiplay is the same you get from most games. On PC, it gets smashed by the many better titles out. Lemme name one with better SP, and MP game play. FEAR.
And almost every reviewer out there is biased towards consoles, simply because the Console companies have the cash, and buy more ads than PC dev's.
Unfortunately, Halo 3 will maintain popularity, because its the best piece of crap that consoles have.

The Reason I think alot of people like the Halo series is that it is one of the only good first person shooters on the consoles right now. I've seen some pretty crappy FPS's on the Consoles look at Star Trek: Elite Force. I made the mistake of getting it. Big Mistake I take the PC version of it over the Console any day. FPS's are really a PC thing when it gets put on a Console and is so successfull It's understandable that people will flock to it. I do agree its wrong people will cheat to Level Up. I don't do that I do it the old fashion way.

I'm no Halo fan. However, I've never played online Halo, because I'm on dial-up. In any case...

Wow. Okaaaaaaay..I've said it before and I'll say it again. Computers are fine and all, HOWEVER, the only two good kinds of games for PCs happen to be shooters and MMORPGS. Every other kind of game is HORRIBLE on a PC. Do you see many fighting games on PCs? No. Because...That would be idiotic.
Consoles - Fighters/RPGs (normal kinds, e.g. Final Fantasy, etc.), Third-Person Shooters, Adventure/Action, etc.
PC - First Person Shooter, MMORPG (online kinds, e.g. World of Warcraft, etc.), RTS (Warcraft, Starcraft, etc.)
And...ummmmmmmm....Not a lot of gaming magazines have called Halo the best game ever. If Gamepro has, that's because Gamepro is the extremely biased and is the lamest piece of...spit...that calls themselves a game magazine. I read EGM. EGM does not call Halo the best game ever. Far from it. Now, if you're reading Xbox Magazine...Well...Of course OXM is gonna pick Halo! What do you think OXM would pick? Mario!?! No. Biased.
If anyone wants to know of a game that TRULY revolutionized multiplayer gaming...Goldeneye 64, baby! Now THAT game...I spent hours and hours playing that game with some friends...who were sitting right next to me. Not balding forty-year old dudes living inside their grandma's basement who haven't bathed in years and breath, sleep, eat, and crap Halo.

PC's are best for: RTS, FPS, RPG, Sim's, and MMO's. PC's control action, and the entire RPG market. We control the three pillars of Gaming. RTS, RPG, FPS. Consoles are good for fighting and Sports games. But thats about it.
Honestly, how many real fighting games like Tekken are market powers?

I have a hard time with the PC, really, certain games I cannot play on the PC, and yet with the consol, I OWN.

I never played Halo, so I really dont know what my judgement would be.

So your saying that PCs are good for normal RPGs (NOT MMORPGS/dungeon crawlers). By that, I mean the Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts/etc.
No way. Final Fantasy and other such RPGs are meant for the consoles and are made for the consoles. Why? Because...normal (non-online/non-dungeon crawler) are better for consoles.
Anyways, as I said...FPS/RTS/MMORPG. All good on PCs. Everything else goes to the console. I'm playing Gears of War right now. That's a third person shooter. Believe me, that would be terrible on a PC. Heh.

PC controls RPG's. We have nearly all the good ones. We've got Final Fantasy too, even though its not as good as some console versions. We have Fallout, Elder Scrolls, NWN1&2.
PC's can play third-person shooters. Heard of Max Payne.
PC's>Consoles.

PCs do not control NORMAL RPGs. Far from it. Console-based RPGs are...on consoles. Ask any (non-MMO playing) RPG fan.
Final Fantasy is considerably better on consoles, as is every other RPG. Did you know that many RPGs (you are thinking dungeon crawlers/MMOs only. I don't mean those ones) were ported to PCs, a la Final Fantasy VII and VIII? The Elder Scrolls is on consoles too and I like it on 'em better.
This is an endless debate. Both sides have their advantages. And, yes, I've heard of Max Payne.
How about this? Shoudln't we just enjoy games and not care if it is PC or console? That sounds good right about now.
PCs = Consoles

Elder Scroll's on Consoles is no where near as fun as it is on PC. The GFX don't even begin to compare. Yeah, PC's do control normal RPG's. Fallout is a normal RPG. So is NWN, and ES4: Oblivion. And they are all better on PC.
Only a fool thinks that consoles could ever equal PC's. PC's are so far above consoles, you can't see them together.

I know a lot of people who play RPG's. Hell, I play them religiously. They are better on PC. GFX, gameplay, controls, etc.

It depends on the RPG.
If I'm playing...Elder Scrolls IV, hell yeah, it would be better on a PC. Awesome graphics, better controls (ES4 is kinda a FPS), and, more options for controls (hotlinking, etc.). HOWEVER, if I'm playing traditional console-based RPGs (which are what I play), such as Final Fantasy VII...it is not better on a PC. It is HORRIBLE on a PC. I've played both version. PCs overcomplicate certain games (which is what it did for Final Fantasy VII). You only need about 4 buttons in FFVII. In ES4, you need many. Difference.
I see your point, however, your being stubborn and apparently you don't respect all gamers and gaming machines.
