The Nautolian Empire

Symbol

History

Due to the reclusive nature of the Nautolians, virtually nothing is known of them. They are a deeply spiritual people, always have been. They have unique mental abilities that give them a myriad of "powers". Due to their religious nature, they believed the "Gods" gave them their power. Their history was one of turbulence and war, mixed with a religious reformation that brought peace. At some point, they joined with the Koinian race, which they would later enslave. Suffice it to say, Starfleet has no real documentation on the history of the Nautolian Empire. Initial first contact occured at some point right before or during the Dominion war. Vaj Tesk, a famous mystical master, tried to negotiate a truce with the Dominion in the name of the Alpha quadrant. He and his entourage never made it and the Dominion war continued. The Romulan and Nautolians had been at war at the time. Not able to afford a war on two fronts, the Romulans offered a truce. The Nautolians quickly took it, not wanting to let this war escalate. Relations between the two, however, never improved and would continue to worsen. At some point, Sit Fito became the first and only Nautolian to ever join Starfleet. He rose in the ranks and became the first officer onboard Deep Space Guardian. His fall from grace first occured when he killed captain Avery Grant, then it became worse in the mirror universe when he killed his counterpart. Fito began to lose himself within the darkness inside and was the first Nautolian in many years to lose himself to it. He conspired with Oyet Bocal and gained the support of the dead Obsidian Order. Later on, Fito underwent the Chum'ar Migration. It is the Nautolian equivalent of a Vulcan Pon Farr. He bonded with Shika Task and while on his homeworld, created political dissent. News of the Federation's xenophobia against his people caused anger amongst the Nautolians. His words rang strong amongst the youth and even some of the elders. The Nautolians wanted change and felt that Fito would bring it for them. He knew the outside better then any other Nautolian. He was the future. Fito vowed to make Nautolia Prime known to the entire world, but said he needed time and patience from his people. He left his homeworld, leave Shika in charge of his affairs, and returned to DSG. His stay with DSG would be short lived however. At some point, Fito named himself Lord Dracon Obsidian. He and his people renounced their old Gods and worshipped the energy and Fito's "heroism". He slowly built up an army and fleet in the confines of Nautolian space, where a treaty prevented any Federation or Romulan ships to enter. It gave Fito the perfect oppurtunity. Meanwhile, Oyet was building up Cardassian ships in his space. Fito's plan nearly were ruined when Archer, Grey, and Cruz stumbled on the Drakon One Colony where chief production is done. He was forced to accelarate his plans and the first battle of the Nautolian war erupted. A year of war between the Romulan Star Empire and the United Federation of Planets was what lay in store for the Nautolians. They traded their monk robes in for uniforms and Fito's name is synonamous with some kind of diety. Fito ruled his planet with an iron fist. He exiled Nautolians that did not agree with his views and conquered various planets and colonies. His war continues to rage but the seeds of rebellion are starting to grow into fruition. What lay in store for the Nautolian Empire is unknown...

Nautolian War

The Nautolian war began at the end of 2380. The battle of Deep Space Guardian was what set it off. In a failed attempt to take the Federation space station that Fito had served on for a year, he killed over 500 people, Starfleet and civilian alike. He managed to flee, taking the only Human member of the Nautolian Empire, Aisjia Shora, with him. Fito turned her into his number one and continued to plunge the Alpha and Beta quadrants into war. He conquered outlying systems and took control of three important powers and forced them to fight: the Hydrans, Remans, and the Gorn. Meanwhile, Cardassia took Deep Space Nine and Bajor by force, all now led by Oyet Bocal. The war continues and due to the corruption in Starfleet, the fall of Romulus, and the Klingon civil war, things have never looked worse. Fito's victory seems imminent. However, all is not lost. Aia has rebuked Fito and left the empire. Meanwhile, uprisings are erupting on Cardassia, Bajor, and Romulus. The playing field has become level, but no victory is in sight for any one side...

Nautolian Empire Capitol

Name: Nautolia Prime
Major City: Unknown
Population: Unknown

Nautolia Prime is predominantly a water planet, but does have some land masses. Due to the limited contact between the Federation and Nautolians, very few Humans were allowed on the planet surface. There is no information on Koinians being from this planet or not. It is currently the capitol of the Nautolian Empire.

Nautolians

The Nautolians are humanoid amphibians from Nautolia Prime. They have evolved to be of average strength physically, but mentally they are strong. Through strange aquatic evolution, or divine favoritism, they have very powerful metal abilities. However, Romulans have found a way to block their mental abilities. They can even shoot electricity from their finger tips, but that may be because they evolved from an eel like creature and has nothing to do with their mental abilities. They are not particurlarly strong physically, nor are they weak. Nautolians are forced to undergo the Chum'ar Migration. If they do not pick a mate, they will essentially die, like Vulcans. It is unknown what the purpose, if any, of their head tails. Some theorize it does have its uses, but many are hesitant to ask. What little is known of them has prompted Starfleet to declare them a threat.

Koinians

The Koinians have been called a sister race by the Nautolians. It is unknown if they became enslaved before or after Fito took over. However, it is unlikely they were enslaved when most Nautolians were religious monks. They are very weak versions of Nautolians and Federation xenobiologists theorise the Nautolians and Koinians were once one race. They make up the labor force for both the Nautolians and Cardassians. While they are physically weak, they make amazing laborers. Because of their efforts, Fito amassed a large fleet within months.

Nautolian Weapons

Energy Sword

Very specially built weapons. The exact technology gives Starfleet engineers pause, as it does for the Romulans. A blade made of pure energy appears at the tip of the weapon. Only specially trained Nautolians are given this weapon. Water will short circuit it.

Nautolian Phaser

The standard Nautolian phaser weapon. Very little is known about it except there is only a kill setting on it. Every Nautolian soldier carries this weapon.

Nautolian Imperial Members

Cardassia

Member Status: Willing Member
Leader: Oyet Bocal

The Cardassians, now under the rule of a ressurrected Obsidian Order, was the first to join the Nautolians in their war for power. However, unlike before, the majority of the Cardassians do not like this pact that Oyet made in their name. After the costly Dominion war, the Cardassians have lost all tastes for war. Oyet is up to his broad neck in rebellions and is losing control. He desperatly needs Fito's help to regain control...

Hydran Kingdoms

Member Status: Forced Member
Leader: Unknown

The Hydrans were the first victims under Fito's rule unless you count the Koinians. They were forced into Fito's evil army under threat of genocide. They patiently await the day when they can overthrow Fito...

Gorn Confederation

Member Status: Unknown
Leader: Unknown

It is 100% unknown how or why the Gorn joined Fito. He had sent Aia to convince them to join willingly. For some reason, they did. No one knows why or what their motives are, perhaps not even Fito. They were present at the battle of Romulus and Remus.

Remus

(No logo)

Remus had been recently conquered by Fito, but given the option to willingly join him. Tired of the oppression at the hands of the Romulans, they gratefull accepted and are now being administered as shock troops.

Member Status: Willing Member
