I'm a diehard Bond fan...Of course, I am looking forward to a new 007 film...However...I don't like the new Bond...at all...Timothy Dalton was my favorite. Daniel Craig? Puh-lease...
Although, I do like the new Bond girl, Eva Green. I saw her in Kingdom of Heaven. She did a great job. I own all of the Bond books and I am looking forward to seeing her character in the movie. I loved Vesper in the book...So...
The female M...ugh...Bernard Lee played the original M...So...
I'll go see it, though. I LOVED the book.

I like the female M actually, it's just from the viewpoint that we know the M that made Bond a "00" agent was a guy...

Precisely. Goldeneye has Bond having a female M for the first time. To go back and have that M appear then just doesn't seem right to me, though I do like the female M and the fact that they're going back. I think I'll like the movie, but that there'll be a few things I'll have pickles with.

Same here. I think that I'll like the movie. Like you, RM, I'll have some "pickles" with it, seeing as there will be inconsistencies.
What I meant about a female M is that I don't like it that we have a female M in charge when a male M was in charge at the time of the mission.
I think that Judi Dench is a great M...but, its out of context.

I don't think "out of context" is the proper phrasing, but yeah, it's incorrect.

It appears that they're giving a modern spin to the entire movie, so I guess looking at it through that light it kind of makes sense (having the female M, that is).

Yeah, It's probably set during the current years and such so like mentioned before perhaps a 'restart' of James Bond (As much as current technology could look cool in them, please, No remakes of the classic bonds )

I just got back from this, and let me tell ya: It was superb. It was a real blast back to Sean Connery, and though it doesn't really fit into the traditional storyline, it was fantastic. Daniel Craig did Bond perfectly, and the action was fantastic. You think the movie's gonna end at points, but then it keeps going with more exciting action.
In other words, see it!

I saw it. The movie was fantastic, but Daniel Craig is not Bond. I hope they get rid of him.

I saw it, opening night. I loved it. I already read the book, so, I wasn't going "ooh!" and "ahh!" to all the twists and turns, like everyone else in the theater, but, I still loved it. Some scenes were not as I imagined it. I liked Craig. Waaaaay better than Brosnan and Moore, that's for damn sure.

He was much better than Moore. You have to agree with that. Moore was too light. He was a bit better than Brosnan. Brosnan was still good. Yet, he's still not the best. That's classic Connery.
In other words, no, it wasn't a joke. The only thing I didn't like about him was his blue eyes. Those were like ghost lanterns.

I don't know if I'd say he was better than Moore, but he was excellent as a Connery-style Bond. I thought he was perfect for the role, as did my dad, with whom I saw it.

I can see from the traiers that he is better then Moore. I saw Moore in some other works, he was good, but in bond, he looked like a burn out.

Brosnan is the best IMO. Bond is NOT blonde. Couldn't he have the decency to have at the least dyed his hair?

Moore was...blondish/brownish. It kinda changed throughout his films. I didn't like the quirkiness in his films, as you say. I like the serious Bonds (Connery, Dalton, and now, Craig).
Anyways, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and I won't even begin to argue who's the best Bond, because...its pointless. They're all good, in their own different ways.

I would have agreed with you before I saw the movie. I was expecting to not like him. But if you can get past the blonde hair and blue eyes, I thought he did a great job acting the part. just my opinion

I just saw the movie last night and I loved it! I thought it was very good and I liked Daniel Craig a lot as James Bond actually. I'll probably go see it again. Yeah...and Sean Connery didn't have really dark hair either. And it wasn't like Craig was platinum blond. I'm not so much with looks as I am with how good they act and play the part. Though Daniel Craig did have a nice sexy body like Bond should. I thought Craig was one of the best since Connery. I've always thought Connery and Brosnan were the best and I still really like Brosnan but I agree with La Forge. I really like the darker side of Bond. He seemed more real and gritty. I like how it was a little bit darker than some of the other movies. I thought it was the best movie since GoldenEye.

This movie was one of the better Bonds. I loved it, and after seeing all of them... it is now one of my favorites.

All this talk of seeing it again has got me thinking of seeing it again!

It's hard to get past that. Bond isn't just about being tough, but about his suave look. This guy does not carry that. The story and all that was good, but that's because of the book, not because of Craig.

Craig plays the book Bond the best than any other Bond. However, yes, the blonde hair and blue eyes is a problem.
